Dr. Ali is very attentive. Calls me up personally with updates and bloodwork results. In my 66 years, I've never had a dr. Call me direct.

This place has great doctors but the support staff is way below par. When doctors are running late due to various circumstances that is understandable, but the below par support staff, including the manager, doesn't inform patients in the waiting room of the circumstances. Get up, make a general announcement to HEART PATIENTS that the doctor is running late, and the circumstances. Stop thanking us for OUR patients and do your job with compassion. read more

My whole family has been coming here for years!! My brother was having chest pain last night so he went to get an EKG at a walk in. They said it came back abnormal and to go to his cardiologist the next day. The walk in even called them to get him an appointment, this office called him to tell him how he can't be seen because they sent him for tests last year and he never went for them!?! Whattttt!?! They were refusing to see him... how disgusting!!! They told him to come in on Friday which is 3 days later, the doctor from the walk in stated this appointment and they told him come in 3 days later. Speechless for this office I really have no idea what happen to the whole heart group but they all suck now. From the time you walk on to the girls at the front to the girls at check out, there all nasty. I ended up taking him to st Francis ER and now he's under the care of St Francis cardiology which is MUCH BETTER. I'll be making sure my family switches over too. read more

As an ex employee of this office, they treat their staff horribly. They are also denying me from seeing my primary care doctor. The doctors and administrators have horrible attitudes towards there employees. Also I found the doctors to speak ill of patients after the patient was seen. This place is a money maker, I will say that. The employees, receptionist, medical assistants, and billing are all great workers. read more

Like Michael P, I have been attending this location for cardiac rehab for several years. Having received the same letter as well as all of us who are paying out of pocket I'm disappointed in the decision to close the door to us. Investagation will prove that more money is paid by patients with insurance and so it seems necessary to keep the schedule clear for these patience. They have tried to schedule dozens of people into a 2 day period and unfortuantely it's turned into first come first served. Half of the time allotments will be held by patients covered by insurance. This of course leaves very little opportunity to continue in a program that will benefit our needs. Mainly 3 times per week and then the opportunity to select a time that works for us. They close the cardiac rehab at 12 noon until 1PM for orientations. WHY? I have attended my classes and have seen nurses taking the "new' people around to the machines while the rest of us are exercising. They close the cardiac rehab from 1PM to 2PM. Why? For lunch. These are 2 full hours that are not being used. There are 6 people to a class which allows 12 more people from 12 -1 PM. AND 12 more people for the 1PM to 2PM hours. (Based on a 3X and 2X per week program) Orientation can be done on Saturday. Lunch scedules can overlap to accomodate the lunch hour. Who can't figure this out??? I spoke with the administrator, Bianca, who suggested I go to Planes Fitness. This is without looking at a medical report . Shame on you. I have had a triple by-pass, 7 stents and suffer with angina. How dare she make a suggestion that could jeopardize my safety. Quite frankly it's not about 'finding' places with exercise equipment. It's about exercising in a monitored environment with doctors and nurses just FEET away. Like Michael said...too bad I have to leave a star. read more

I have been going to massapequa heart group for over 8 years. My experience has been very good. I've never waited longer than 10 min. in their waiting room, after initial examination by the nurse the doctor enters in less than five min. Other practices should learn from them, I would recommend this practice to family members. read more

My dad has been going to Dr. Gould at Massapequa Heart Group for many years. I can't begin to express the gratitude that my family has for him. He is by far the best, patient, considerate, most caring doctor we have ever met. I would recommend him a thousand times over. He has such patience and spends time with us and makes sure to explain everything so clearly. If it was not for him, my father would not be alive. The shame is I cannot give this practice 0 stars. I have been going to the cardio rehab center for 3 years. I pay out of my pocket as insurance does not cover it. a gym would be much cheaper but I go there because I have a very bad heart a defibulator implanted in my chest and the point of having a dr and nurse on the premises is important to someone like me. I recently received a letter that they need my times for other people who have heart conditions and I was no longer welcome for the three time a week session. If they feel my life is not as important as the next person I wonder what kind of feelings they have towards there patients. They are owned by North Shore LIJ and I am very shocked by there lack of caring by the way I am a NSLIJ patient I guess they were right death panels are here. read more
