Absolutely Terrible Experience - Shockingly Different From Last Year…read more I used this company a year ago and had a great experience, which is the only reason I decided to book with them again. Unfortunately, this move was the complete opposite. The movers showed up smelly and unprofessional, and they argued with each other the entire time they were in my home. It was uncomfortable to watch, and on top of that, they were clearly milking the clock rather than working efficiently. When my furniture arrived, several pieces were damaged--including an $800 dresser with two legs broken off, leaving it unable to stand. Three lamp shades never made it into my home during unloading, and the company initially denied they were ever part of the move. For a whole week, they ignored my calls and messages about reimbursement, after saying they would get back to me in 24 hours. They only responded once my father got involved, and even then, their offer was insulting: $70 for the three missing lamp shades and $0 for the ruined dresser. I'm extremely disappointed in how drastically their service quality declined. This company is now unprofessional, careless, and unwilling to take responsibility. I regret booking with them again, and I strongly suggest choosing a different moving company if you want your belongings--and peace of mind--protected.

After 5 separate calls, the price changed 3 times and the deposit required was more than the amount of the quote I was given for the work. I asked for my deposit to be cancelled along with the appointment, more than 24 hours in advance. Put me on hold numerous times and said I had to talk to a supervisor to cancel. After that, they packaged all of our items with care, and safely loaded everything onto the truck! Customer service on the phone is good, the movers did a great job. We hired them to only move our heaviest items and we were impressed with the care and hard work they had in moving our items. There were no excessive breaks while on the clock either. Our pickup date was one day and the delivery day was the next day and both days they were late. 30 minutes the first day and 2 hours the next. I wasn't impressed with the ipad signature, I couldn't see what I was signing. Because they had to hold our stuff overnight, the software had trouble with our billing and we ended up getting double billed for the delivery but they took care of that right away and issued credit no problems. One of our tv's did get damaged and the filing a claim process is just stupid. You have to provide pictures, sign a claim form and have it notarized, and write a statement. Instead of just sending someone out to take pics and document the damage, they make it difficult for the customer so they hope you just throw your hands up and don't go through with the claim. We haven't submitted ours yet, so don't know the outcome. Overall, I've heard some horrible stories about moving companies, and we were concerned, but I think we would hire them again. The guys really worked hard and were friendly. We had 2 different crews on pickup and delivery and both crews consisted of professional and friendly employees. Update on the claim: they approved to reimburse $200 for our tv, have to get yet another sheet notarized, then they will issue a check.
