Our new Minn Kota Ulterra 112 Trolling Motor received a sturdy Mounting Plate, solidly anchoring the unit to the Bow Deck. Never seen anyone do that. We added two Bow Deck Mounted Running Lights, so the Trolling Motor could be positioned in the center most forward position. The Boat Dealer was just going to bolt it on the deck where it fit. We went with 3 top rated Northstar Marine Group 34 AGM Batteries, and they received a custom poly box to protect them, with a lid to enable storage space on top of box in the Bow compartment. ..... we added a Powermania Turbo M320 V3 Pro Charging System, 3 Bank 10amp: and a Steath I DC Charger, and again a custom box was fabricated to house the two units, with the Breakers mounted on the side for easy access. The workmanship was meticulous. ..... we are planning a Jack Plate, with Gauge for easy checking of Jack Plate position. We are adding a Minn Kota Raptor Pole Anchor System as well. And, adding a two system Battery Gauge to monitor Battery performance and condition. We are upgrading our stereo system, a new JL Audio Head unit with 2.8" screen, 2 additional Speakers, and a 300W Subwoofer with 10" speaker. The highest of recommendations and a "five star" rating go out to Master Repair (Stuart, Florida) and the owner and head of service, Mike (or "Master Mike," as he is known in some circles)- in all categories, ranging from professional expertise to personal qualities. I am a repeat customer, first recommended by my local Bass Pro Shop as the "go-to" person for installing a new trolling motor in 2003. I soon thereafter came to learn that his true expertise transcended well beyond that - to what I would call (if I were writing a mission statement), "anything and everything related to addressing and improving the needs, performance and enjoyment a boater/angler could derive from their shallow water boat (flats/skiffs)." After traveling from my home in Miami to Stuart (and never giving the added distance a second thought) for routine items such as replacing batteries, chargers, electrical components), my most recent experience was transforming. He steered me away from a new boat purchase in favor of "tricking out," and performing a facelift on, my current flats boat. Aside from new engine, trolling motor, live well and bilge pumps, updated LED lights, and electrical components, he added a power pole (never had one). The result, after 2 fishing outings since - I feel like I'm in a new, higher performance boat - and at one third the price of what I would have spent on a new one! i recently had a minnkota installed on my sailfish 26 wac. the boat is a walk around with a cuddy cabin. when i initially approached mastber repair, there was a little hesitation because of the difficulty putting the largest minnkota (100 in shaft) on the bow of a walk around vessel. because we fish predominately from the rear of the boat, i elected to go with the self deploy and store option. this required a 36 volt 60 amp battery and charger. when completed, the installation was immaculate and fit my boat perfectly. during the entire process mike and scott would contact me to discuss the various components of the insallation, such as removal and replacement of the bow railing, motor location installation, electrical terminal location and battery and charger installation. when i picked up the boat, it was immaculate. no shoe marks, fingerprints or shop dirt whatsoever. needless to say, i am thoroughly pleased with the work performed by master repair and would give them 10 stars if i could. read more
