I recently tested and I am an orange belt now, through the whole journey all the instructors have supported me, motivated me, between many other things. I have seen instructors stay after class to assist students who wished a one on one critique. If you want to become a champion and be a champion this is the place to start. They will work you, they will test you, they will push you, they will not fail you. Christina per Rosa denied my child rank test (due) because my child was not in MONTHLY enrollment student; at the time due my child was a enroll student. Reason given: They denied another student belt testing and its only fair. Administration (Christina/Rosa) will not work with you but expect for you to work with them and not cancel during the Pandemic. The day to day policies are just petty. Not worth it. My child wanted to continue her training here due to the instructors. I decided to enroll her in private lessons instead. Now with this pettiness I will definitely find another Dojo so she can fulfill her training. Facility and Equipment need attention. Overall, not worth the obligatory monthly contract or private lessons fee. You can find better dojos for the same price. read more

I recently contacted Masters TaeKwonDo to inquire about getting training for our son Noah at the Pasadena location. Master Weissfisch reached out to me and extended an opportunity to try it out for one week for only $10 AND get a FREE uniform. I could not pass up such a generous offer! When we went to Masters, Ms. Christina gave us a tour and fitted Noah for his uniform. She was helpful and friendly as she answered all of our questions, and she went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. During the trial week, Ms. Carter taught our son numerous skills, and she had him doing plenty of effective stretches and exercises. As our son is brand new to TaeKwonDo, I appreciate that Ms. Carter showed patience with him as she encouraged him through his week. Noah ended his trial week ready to return as a team member, and his enthusiasm for learning and training at Masters has continued to grow with each class. We are now three weeks into our experience at Masters, and it has been wonderful! I am impressed with the team of instructors: Ms. Gonzales, Ms.Carter, Mr. Ho, and Mr.Serrato, as well as the front desk team Ms.Christina and Ms.Rosa. Everyone has been kind, helpful, and welcoming. It is so nice to be greeted immediately upon entering through the doors, and to be acknowledged when we leave. During the classes, the instructors pay close attention to all details of the child's performance, offering correction and help where needed. They make the classes fun, and their positive attitudes and expectations of good manners during class sets the right example for the kids, sets the right tone for the class, and encourages good behavior. I am impressed at how the instructors are quick to recognize individuals when they have done a good job, and that they frequently offer words of encouragement to all of the students. I appreciate that Masters communicates with informative emails about upcoming events, weekly goals, and reminders of our son's plan towards black belt. It is awesome to see a tangible plan of action towards achieving his martial arts goals. I highly recommend Masters to anyone looking for a place where their child will learn the art and discipline of TaeKwonDo, and have fun learning skills that will carry them through life with discipline, confidence, and success! read more

My son has been at Masters for a few months. I've already seen a difference in his attitude and in his skills. They truly want to motive the students in becoming the best versions of themselves. The staff is great with kids and never gives up on their students. My son loves Masters. Really wish I would have read these reviews before signing my son up. I am now finding out that they could care less about their students. With this Covid 19 my income is being cut drastically because I work on comission and my salary is just enough to cover bills no extra. They will not work with me and still plan on charging me. We went there because it was recommended and my son has having behavior issues. They charge an exorbitant fee for what you get, and they will not let you out of your contract for anything, not medical, not moving, nothing. It turns out my son, 5yrs, has severe obstructive sleep apnea and mild central sleep apnea, which explains all the behavior problems. He has literally been sleep deprived, not getting enough oxygen or REM sleep, for 5 years. They refused to let us out of our last 4 months of our contract even with a doctors note. The facility itself is falling apart, the ceiling tiles are falling in, the bathrooms smell like sewage, the a/c is questionable, and they don't have heat. They keep talking about making improvements, but they aren't really, just changing the schedule and "curriculum." This new year they changed the schedule and did away with the only time frame we could make and they still wouldn't allow us out of our contract, instead they sent us to the after school care class. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I would never recommend them to anyone, ever. We pay $98 every two weeks, and that is high for some of the martial arts programs I have looked into. Never again will I sign a contract that runs all year and has no way to leave the contract. read more

We went to a birthday party and we were offered the option to buy a $20 uniform and have a free session so we said yes since we had been talking about putting our son into Marshall arts. When we got the session, the guy that was pitching to us had no respect. He was the most PUSHY and DISRESPECTFUL "sales" guy. His name was Master Weissfich. He quickly explained pricing and schedules. We told him that we thought $98 every two weeks was a little steep and that a one year contract seemed like a big commitment but we would like to think about it. He told us that since we were struggling financially that this wouldn't be a good fit. I think he wanted us to walk out but our son was very excited for this class. So we swallowed our pride as he continued to say "I know that you don't want your child to have confident and you want him to be bullied " and "ohhh go ahead and put him in some mediocre sport like baseball." And he just kept throwing and throwing digs. We left there like WTF! We do not recommend. He was so pompous and rude. read more
