I visit this park a lot. It's the most scenic of all the dog park locations in Lexington. During my last visit, the mail park has been closed due to water pipe construction. There is an alternative location to visit in the meantime. This park is canvased by large mature trees providing shade throughout the area. There is a watering station at the far end of the park to refresh dogs.

Love this dog park! It is very well kept and the owners are friendly and keep an eye on/clean up after their pet! This dog park doesn't seem to be as crowded as some of the others. My two love going here and we visit here pretty regularly!

This is a fairly elaborate playground. Because it is 7 years old, some things are not working. Because there is so much to do, it is still one of the best places to visit. The spinning cup and standing spinner do appear to need repairs. And a large blue board has been installed by the city to keep kids out of the sway boat. But if you have a two year old, she will find a way to squeeze herself onto it. This is amazing playground equipment and I hope the city will eventually repair or replace these individual items. Additionally several parts of the tan tunnel slides really need a good pressure wash. The splash pad right next to the playground is only two years old and seems to be operating at peak efficiency.

By far the best dog park in Lexington! It's a little bit further out than the rest of the dog parks, but I've been to 'em all, and this one is definitely the best maintained and worth the drive. The park itself is huge, has a good mix of cut grass and tall grass, and has a lot of shade trees and benches. My favorite feature (which a lot of the other dog parks don't have) is that it has a water fountain for dogs at the back of the park.

For years, the only thing going on at this park was the Bluegrass Fair, once a year. Now, there is a play area for the kids, several soccer fields. There are two entrances, the entrance on Leestown Rd is the most common but the back entrance, on Spurr Rd is where the picnic areas are that you can reserve for a group events or cook outs. There's an equine area that I don't really know much about. The dog park is one of the best and largest in the area. My fur girls love it, they both know the road to dog park and they whine with excitement. Basically, it's a hot spot park for locals if we have a specific agenda that is relevant to this park. It's not necessarily a place that a tourist would enjoy. This weekend, I'm going to check out the wine festival there, it's in an indoor area that I've never been to... So might update my review.

A tired dog is a happy dog

Best dog park in Lexington. Nice, big trees provide shade for if it's too hot. Plenty of room for dogs to safely run around (it's a huge dog park, so you may have to chase your dog around for a while if they don't want to go home yet). The area is very well maintained. There are technically separate sections for big dogs/little dogs, however it seems people prefer the big dog side. If you have a small dog that's not good around big dogs, you'll feel safe on the small dog side. The only downside to the small dog section is that there aren't the big trees for shade. It's Great place to hang out and talk with other dog owners. Poop bags are available at the entrance, but it's good to bring some extra in case they run out. My only complaint is that the water station is on the far end of the dog park. Like I said, it's a huge park, so it's a good walk to get to the water for your pup. But I guess if your dog is getting exercise, you might as well get some too?

One of five dog parks in Lexington. This dog park has two separate areas, not marked for small verses big. Both sizes are LARGE! There is water fountains located inside both sides. Which is nice. One side has a bunch of trees and seems to be the most popular side. The other side, no trees, and lots of holes that is a result of the land and dogs digging that the parents did not fill in. We would like to see more enrichment for the pups, I.e. Agility equipment, this park would be perfect for a small swimming area! Why can't Lexington have a dog swimming area!

This is our favorite of the four Lexington dog parks - enough trees, water fountain for the dogs, nice people!

Ask the Community - Masterson Station Dog Park

Is there a fee for this dog park? Or a yearly membership fee? I have a friend coming from out of town, so she will only be here for the day and doesn't want to pay a membership fee.

No, there isn't any sort of fee ;) Enjoy!
