The shopping centre opened in June 2021, before being officially opened in September 2022 by Princess Anne, and is located on the site of the former St. James Centre and is a massive improvement. The shopping centre is large, airy and modern and reminds me a lot of the Liverpool One in terms of layout, with the main difference being the presence of a roof. I would note though that it is partially open and exposed to the elements so during days of heavy snow, rain and wind you might just feel it. There is a good number of large retailers here including Next, Zara, Boss, Boots, JD Sports, EE, Samsung, Superdrug and more, including the sole anchor tenant, John Lewis. For food and drink, you have a nice number of options too, Gordon Ramsay's Street Burger have a location here, which is their only location in Scotland. Other options include Duck and Waffle, Starbucks, Five Guys and The Real Greek. The centre overall feels modern and rather attractive, there is a good amount of seating around the mall, some of these seats even have little tables which are pretty cool too. There are obviously a large number of other shops in and around the city centre, especially along the Royal Mile and on Princess Street, with an Apple Store just outside the city centre, but it does have perhaps the best selection of shops under one roof. If you're looking to shop while in Edinburgh, this is a great start for sure, and with further additions to the development planned including a hotel, I can't wait to see what the future brings. 4*

This is a wide open space with many levels and seating area, places to eat like Five Guys, toilets and even a bowling alley and Lego shop. I think it's a great addition to Edinburgh's shopping experience.

It sells some pretty clothes, different to the type of stuff you'd find on the highstreet as it's a little bit different being a small business. I'd recommend it definitely, plus there is a lot to be said for limited choice; it's less stressful shopping somewhere small like this than a massive store which takes hours to get around.

Well, having spent £50 today, I've managed to walk away from Primark with a new coat, two pairs of…read morejeans, two bags, a pair of PJs, some shoes, a pack of three pairs of tights and a pack of hairbands. Where else could you possibly get this much for your money? I wouldn't say I was a 'fashionista' necessarily (well, not totally), but my tastes do change very frequently. So I begrudge forking out a fortune on designer and brand name clothing for something that I'm probably not going to be interested in wearing the following season. Primark suits me perfectly for this reason. Whilst this may go against the 'eco-friendly' side of my personality [who wishes that my tastes weren't quite so changeable and disposable], but it's true. What makes me feel a bit better about this is the fact that Primark now has a new 'ethical' code of conduct in the supply of their clothing. Anyway, I digress. There is currently no Primark store in Edinburgh, so I'll regularly make the trip to Dunfermline specifically for this purpose. It's a decent sized store - the ground level floor is taken up, for the most part by women's clothing and homewares (yes, you can pick up a duvet set on the cheap here too), whilst the lower floor is stocked with men's and children's clothing. If you're of average shoe size (around size 5 for women, as I am), then expect to struggle to buy shoesI've frequently found shoes that I like in the shop, only to pull every single pair off the shelves and find them in just tiny sizes (3 and 4) or in gigantic sizes (for women anyway), in size 7 or 8. They don't seem to purchase enough stock in the more 'regular' sizes. You can also pick up some excellent accessories in the form of jewellery or handbags for very very cheap. And I've even been complimented whilst wearing them. Of course, I'm no good at keeping schtum, and instead find myself blurting out oh, I got that for just £2 in Primark. I should maybe have just kept quiet about that. If you're looking for top quality clothing, then Primark really wouldn't be your first port of call. But if you're looking for decent clothing at a price that's very affordable, then Primark's definitely worth a look. Of course, the range of goods varies from season to season, so it's very hit and missbut keep an eye out and you can pick up some great bargains!

I've eperienced better service from this store and others…read more 1. when trying to look for someone on the shop floor - NO ONE could be seen. not even at the doors. 2. I was looking at the inspire range for belts and they only had one after i enquire at the till after standing in LOooooooong queue. 3. not once, not twice but three times the lady at the till buzzed for other staff members to come and reduced the queue and even after a forth buzzer no one came - pathetic. Really felt sorry for the lass as i've been in that situation and it's not nice. I did get a belt though rather please with myself. The store did need a tidy up though.

This is a nice, big store on two levels which has general clothing downstairs and shoes,…read moreaccessories, young teens and maternity wear on the upper level. It has a great range of cheaply prived t-shirts and jeans as well as a more expensive range of more cutting-edge fashion items. The accessories are bright and funky and the shop always seems to have a sale on. It can be a bit like a jumble sale at times and you need to have a good old rummage but it is worth it. It is a youthful store but I don't feel out of place there although I hit 30 this year. Also does a great range in cheap work clothes.
