They also stock womens and mens clothing but it looked more for the older women although they sold some okay trousers and jumpers. The staff member was okay but I feel some of the spaces between the clothes were tight and not ideal for either a buggy or a wheelchair if you met another trying to pass in the oposite direction a bit of manouevering would be required. The prices in the store and the range would encourage a repeat visit.

I popped in for a super quick look - I was contemplating getting a coffee but then thought better of it seeing it was already late afternoon. I did notice that Papercup don't just do coffee though, there's also a small selection of cakes on offer. Forty is the clothing side of things and while it's not my kind of thing (edgy streetwear), they did have some nice stuff and tshirts. There's also Safehands Barbers so you can get a whole new look with a cut and some clothes. In this area, I can't think of any other independent coffee shops so I'd definitely pop back for a coffee next time I'm in Royal Exchange Square.

I had a quick look around, it's a nice space, clothes and sneakers downstairs, barber through the back, Papercup up front. A nice modern addition to Royal Exchange Square, the logo for the Forty range were designed by the owners kid, which is a nice touch, and I'm so happy that Papercup are now in the city centre! Definitely be back to do some shopping, and of course, get some good coffee!!

At the back of the store there's a whole wall dedicated to trainers and I spotted a lot of nice brogues that are a bit more imaginative than the likes of Foot Locker and Foot Asylum etc. They had a couple of nice checked shirts in the window and pretty much all of the threads are designer labels that aren't stocked everywhere such as Religion and Ed Hardy.

I made some phone calls when we got to Edinburgh. Many stores in the UK are closed on either Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday, so that narrowed our choices. Other stores had no fair isle jumpers in stock. Still, I was undeterred and kept calling around. After only two or three calls, I reached Dicks Edinburgh and was told that they did have exactly what I was seeking. A few hours later, after we had toured Edinburgh Castle, we hopped into a cab and went straight there. My husband and I were the only customers, and the entire staff (two women and a man) were collectively attentive to us. It took me only a few minutes to decide on the perfect jumper. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. Dicks Edinburgh is clearly a quality clothing store, and I would not hesitate to shop there again.

And the staff is very friendly. There is an impressive selection of scarves and jackets on the first floor. They even have a dressing room if you'd like to try on some of the clothing. Not going to lie, a lot of the stuff in here is the basic touristy stuff that you'll find in the other shops around here, but they have a good selection and nice pricing. There is also a large whisky section, if you're into that sort of thing. Upstairs is where you'll find t-shirts and tchotchkes, like figurines and specialty drinking cups. You'll also find kitchen linens and more men's clothing up here.
