We absolutely love Mate Factor and visit every time we are in Savannah. The cinnamon roll and Mayan mocha are my favorite items to order. They have a few breakfast and lunch sandwich options which are incredible. We always get a loaf of bread to take home. We are aware of the 12 tribes and honor their beliefs, as this is part of why the foods are so wholesome and delicious. This trip we met Earl Gray, the sweet cat who hangs out on the outdoor patio. The ambiance feels like you are in a treehouse of Pinterest dreams and the dulcimer music playing is so magical. The staff is always pleasant, kind, and helpful.

I wish I had known before heading to this place that they only make lattes with Mate and not actual coffee. I had the Mayan Mocha and my husband got the Vanilla hazelnut. Both were very bland and runny. The Mayan mocha was almost like having cinnamon and sugar added to water. I am a coffee and chocolate person so maybe that's why I did not like the drinks at all but maybe someone who has an affinity for Mate would like it?

Okay, trying two things Ive never had before. The blueberry Pecan muffin is amazing. The service is great. The person serving was kind and engaging. I came here after my niece forgot I didn't have a key to her dorm room. It was a quick walk from SCAD's Chatham Apartments. The space is soothing and relaxing. A great place to read a book.

Even though the café was closed when I stopped by, Jeremy (hopefully I got his name right!) still waved me in, handed me a treat just for showing up, and gave me a quick tour. Seriously, who does that anymore? The place has amazing energy. It just feels good the moment you walk in. You can tell it's built with a lot of love and intention. Also... the date bar? Absolutely incredible. Not too sweet, nutty, chewy easily a 10/10. Can't wait to come back when they're actually open and try more. Huge shoutout to Jeremy and his family for the kindness. little things like that stick with you.

Cute, cozy little cafe. Sandwiches are really quite good and a nice size portion. Mate good as well. Would have loved to try some baked goods while I was there.

This eclectic little gem is one of my favorite places to grab a quick lunch! They make all their breads and baked goods in-house. The decor is unique and creates a cozy cabin atmosphere, and I absolutely love their outdoor patio area--it's quiet and provides a relaxing vibe. My favorite drink is the mango mate; I could drink it every day! For lunch, I always go for the chipotle chicken sandwich -- it has just the right amount of heat without being too spicy.

I'm currently sitting at Mate Factor in Savannah , Georgia sipping on the iced "old saint joes" latte which I customized by adding a double espresso shot to and it's so delightfully flavorful! I'm extremely satisfied with the taste and rich experience of this drink, also my partner got the hot green chai tea which was incredible as well! The ambiance here is so cute and inviting, giving the true atmosphere of Savannah vibes! The service was friendly and fast. Needless to say, I'm giving this adorable spot a 10/10!

Woooooooow The drinks were all 10/10. I consider myself a bit of a chai latte connoisseur and it was one of the best ones I've had, very pleasantly spiced. The iced Mayan and mint mocha were delightful. The sandwiches were solid. My boyfriend loved his turkey sandwich. My veggie burger was mild in flavor, but I did enjoy it, especially with the kettle cooked chips it came with. Everyone working there was very kind. The decoration of the place was adorable. It felt like I was in a fantasy novel, inside of a cozy tavern.

What a Delightful Place! Turkey Sandwich was fresh and delish. We tried both the cold iced hibiscus and mango teas. So yummy. The ginger snap cookie that was so soft and spicy. Can't recommend this place enough. The charming interior space is almost as lovely as the back patio. Just a perfect spot

Your coconut raspberry muffins were absolutely phenomenal. What type of flour do you use? We keep trying to replicate your recipe.?

Hi, and we're so glad you enjoyed them! We use spelt flour. That is an ancient grain. Sometimes people who have an intolerance to wheat can eat spelt. They're my favorite muffins, too! Although, blueberry pecan is almost a tie!

This menu looks a little too similar to Yellow Deli in Brunswick. Anyone know if this place is affiliated, copycat, or something else?

I believe they're affiliated with the same parent organization. Twelve Tribes, which oversees Maté Factor, has several other "Yellow Deli" locations, including one in Brunswick. From the pictures, the food and drinks look very similar, so if you… Read more

I was debating between the Fried green tomato BLT or the Caprese Grilled cheese then our server Kristin suggested the mussels and that is what I ended up with and I am so glad I did. These were absolutely the best mussels I've ever had. The sauce was not the traditional garlic/shallot wine sauce but had more tomato and basil reminiscent of warm bruschetta. I had to borrow my husbands spoon to get every bit of that sauce after I finished my mussels. My husband had the famous shrimp and grits which he absolutely loved. He noted it wasn't overpowered with sausage like most other restaurants do but had a perfect balance of flavor. My mom got the lamb burger and also loved every bite. She loved lamb so as soon as she saw that she had no doubt what she was going to order. Both my husband and mom loved every bite. I can see why The Public Kitchen is so popular. The restaurant has some indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of tables and banquets along the walls. It was comfortable without being too crowded. This was my first visit to The Public but It definitely won't be my last.

Open only until 2:00 PM, if you're looking for breakfast, brunch or lunch, this is the place to be. Arriving at just about noon, the place was packed, but not unpleasantly so, with customers that quickly moved through the ordering process, past the register, and to the ample seating, of their own choosing (with limited outdoor seating available; but not preferable at the time, due to the spotty showers that also choose to attend). Beverages are provided as payment is being made, leaving no thirst unquenched. Needless to say, seating is immediate. With a cup of rich, flavorful, house blend coffee in hand, my daughter, Son in Law, and I found a seat with a great view of the market activities happening outside only moments before our meals were served. The Italian Panini, chock full of succulent mildly spicy meats and lettuce, covered proportionately with dressing (yes, I was given my own bite size sample) , was my daughter's choice; a visually appealing (although not personally sampled) breakfast platter was the pick of the day for my Son in Law; and, Salmon BLT, composed of one thick, juicy piece of salmon, bursting with flavor, accented by a slice of smokey bacon atop a crisp bed of lettuce, slathered in a mild, but tasty, mustard based sauce, between two halves of a soft , flakey, croissant that more than rivaled the size of an average hamburger bun, was my choice. It did not disappoint. At just under $45.00, before tip, all of this seemed like a bargain. If there could be a downside to this experience, and I would say there couldn't be, it would be that, when visiting Savanah, choosing the place to eat jus became a bit more difficult, with Goose Feathers now in contention.
