I would give zero stars if Yelp had that option. Last week I went to give a bulk order to be labelled and packed individually for office colleagues on Thursday and placed my order for Friday. Friday I go in and wait for one hour, plus inaccuracies in the order packed. No taste in curries, just such an embarrassment to have chosen this place for office lunch. For a large curry there is only 3 small pieces of chicken and for one order of large butter chicken there was just the sauce in small container and no pieces. Came here while scrolling through Ubereats and looking for a quick dinner for Saturday night. I ordered the XL butter chicken (~$17), samosa chaat (~$4), and some veggie samosas ($1 for 3). The food was great - butter chicken leans heavier on the cream so it's very fragrant and savory. The meat was more tender than other places I've been. I was debating between 2 large butter chickens ($10/each) or 1 XL ($17) for 4 people, and the XL was definitely enough. The samosa chaat was amazing as well - bold flavours, super fresh ingredients, and piping hot. Samosas were also solid. I'd order all 3 things again without hesitation. I agree with others that the wait would be quite long - there aren't a lot of staff, so they seem to be quite busy behind the counter. I ordered via Uber and only waited 5-10 mins, but there were a good 4-5 people lining up in the store to order, so I suggest pre-ordering as well. Prices are the same in store vs. Uber, which is great since most places on Uber price up everything on the menu. All in all, great food and portion sizes - all the things I tried were excellent, and the value is amazing. There's lots of variety on the menu, so I'll definitely be back to try something else once I figure out what all the item menus are lol. read more

Updating my review because unfortunately their food has gone downhill. I always order the same things and I ordered today and thali's curries were all cold. The chicken leg masala looked nothing like what I've gotten before, it was super watery. They also forgot all the samosas in my order. But the most disappointing part was the naan - it used to be super big and delicious, and now its super small and tasted undercooked. Was actually disgusting, and even naan from no frills is better than this. Will be the last time I'm coming back. read more

Busy place but GREAT food! Tip... order well ahead!!! First time there. I ordered lunch for my employees today (with 4 days notice) who are predominant Punjabi and they to a person said the food was excellent. And they would know. Gurleen is amazing. Actually the whole staff was amazing! Prices are good and it's hard to find. But very worth the effort. 23 thalis today, and lots of samosas, naan, rotis. Mmm. I popped in to pick up some sweets for my boys. It is quite small inside and there was a lineup going out the door (Diwali rush?). They do not carry peda. I got milk cake which was fine and caju (cashew) burfi which was all stuck together. There was no overhead menu to see what I could purchase for dinner so I didn't bother as I was in a rush and the line was so big. I did get a container full of dhokla which was on display with the savoury snacks. This was tasty and slightly moist but they did not have any chutney for it. Reasonably priced and fairly tasty food. Ordered Chole Bhature, Samosa, Aloo vada, Bread Pakoda. Unfortunately for us, nothing stood out. Chole bhature was average. Chole served along with Bhature are the ones which are actually served with street kulchas. Could have made a lot of difference if it was more like pindi chole. Bread Pakoda besan coating was way too thick and dried out and wasn't fresh. Samosa were okay, masala could have been more flavorful. Aloo vada was nice. The question: Are the samosas really worth the service? Yelp led me here today so I popped in for a "quick" lunch. 12:15 on a Thursday, doesn't look busy. I ordered butter chicken, spicy with garlic naan, 3 veg samosas and 3 chicken samosas. Literally as I sit down, the restaurant starts to build up. People coming in by the groups, place gets louder, staff gets more anxious, I'm crying, its a shit show. The place is a mad house after 10 minutes, personal space is a thing of the past at this point and barely anyone is leaving. The guy is just yelling out food item names and people are grabbing them. I started noticing people who ordered after me leaving before me with curries and samosas like my order so I was like okkk, 5 more minutes. I'm waiting for 30 minutes at this point and I'm a little upset. I ask the girl rushing in and out of the kitchen how much longer it will be and whaddya know, its ready! I find myself walking towards my car swinging my bag of butter chicken like it's my soulmates' hand - whats wrong with me? Suddenly my anger and frustration disappear as my car fills up with the garlic naan fumes (there is no better smell FYI). The food is delicious guys. The butter chicken is bomb, surprised by how good it was actually! Try it! The chicken samosas were really good, I never had chicken ones before I really like it, but I never received the veg samosas- instead they gave me what my (Indian) coworker told me was a paneer sandwich? I am so disappointed with their uber service. I've ordered from here probably 6-8 times this year and every single time at least 1-2 items are missing from my order. I don't know why they can't check their orders before sending them out. It's extremely irresponsible. I've also noticed that the taste of the food has gone down over the last few months. I go for the vegetable samosa's. I practically get 50 samosa's for 20 bucks and love it!!! I freeze them in ziplock bags and than heat them up when i want them, they're even better heated from frozen state. Although Im not much of a fan of the dip. you need to try this!!!!!! read more

I use to go here all the time with the previous owner as, it was amazing the sweets ad food were always fresh and delicious. However, i went here recently and it was horrible. Fabulous food. I eat there a couple of times a week. The chicken biriyani is excellent and chicken masala is very tasty and juicy. Im Japanese-Canadian and enjoy the food here. They will tell you they have meat samosas, give you veggie and then not give you the money back. Even if you return the food and they acknowledge that they said what they were giving you was meat. They also don't take card so they will disappoint you even after you go to the bank for cash. Don't go here. Apna Farm on Eglinton is where I went eventually. Bigger with meat option. read more
