I'll say this: using The College Planning Center was one of the best decisions I could have possible made for my daughter's future! Preparing for college now is so much different than when I went to high school. I feel like there is so much more pressure on my kids than what I experienced. The College Planning Center does a fantastic job of helping organize high school class schedules and coordinating extracurricular activities if your kids are not already involved. They had consistent meetings with my daughter throughout her entire high school years. This was so important because there are times when my daughter was either too busy to focus on the global plan or was simply procrastinating, but having the consistent meetings never let my daughter get too far behind the schedule and goals that she set with her counselor at the Center. The College Planning Center also brings so much collegiate knowledge that we never would have thought about, whether it's enrolling in online college courses during the summer or attending various UC programs over the summer that helped boost our daughter's college applications. Rather than thinking about and preparing for college applications in my daughter's junior year, they helped us prepare throughout her high school experience. I can't tell you how much pressure this relieves when the application process actually beings. My daughter was far less stressed than most of her friends because she had been preparing consistently for a longer time. When you follow The College Planning Center's scheduling and goals, the whole process is so much more organized and less stressful! I could keep going, but we also have 4 kids that take a lot of attention and time away from focusing on one kid during application season. My oldest started Kumon when he was in first grade. At first, he found it challenging to keep up…read morewith all the packets. A few months into Kumon and being consistent with keeping up with the packets, he has learned to make it something he just has do everyday. Eventually, getting through Kumon daily became second nature and he just does it with minimal assistance or reminding. He's currently in 2nd grade and reading long chapter books and doing 2 digits division and multiplications. My kindergarten just started Kumon a month ago and I enjoyed spending time with him to get him through the packets. Surprisingly, he hasn't complained much. He's just excited to learn how to read just like his brother. Ms. Pandya has been so patient with our family to work through some schedule conflicts. She replies promptly to emails and really helped us achieve the most benefits out of Kumon for our children. We were amazed that in one year of Kumon 2x a week and a 20-30 minute homework packet in between center tutoring, he is now exactly on track and testing where he needs to be starting 4th grade. It's worth every penny we spent and has taught him to be disciplined with 'homework' that we now are experiencing in the 4th grade. That was a bonus.
