I can't say enough about this floral company. Elizabeth did an amazing job listening to what we wanted and delivering exactly as expected. Actually, she exceeded our expectations. We found their selections of flowers extensive and although we left most of the design work to them, they took our inspiration board and brought it to life. I have used Matlack off and on for decades. Most recently I ordered flowers to be delivered locally for my mother's birthday. I had an amount in mind to spend. Turns out they have a minimum for delivery orders, which was more then I had planned on, but ok, I agreed. Then the taxes and delivery fees are tacked on. My flowers ended up costing $80. When my mom received them, she sent me a picture. No way do they look anywhere near $80 worth of flowers. The bouquet was pretty, but small, like embarrassingly small. It was really disappointing. I know they have been in business a long time and have a good reputation (that is why I called them in the first place) but I will not be using them again. read more

It's not often to find a place that specializes in flowers and it was nice to chat with someone who was an expert in their field. The assortment here varied and you can tel there was a lot of care amongst the staff and the flowers on display. With Covid and a lot of the display being outside the staff wore masks and remained a comfortable distant. In regards to pricing, the prices are little more expensive than a grocery store or big box retailer but Matlock offers a much better quality in flower. read more

I ordered custom get well flowers, as I am out of state. They were so helpful and accommodating to me. They took time to answer my questions and patient while I made my decision. They were to be delivered to a local hospital. A few hours after the order was placed the patient got discharged. I called and they had no problem redirecting the order and then delivering to the person's home! I was so worried and they took the change in stride and it was delivered that same day! We have been long time customers of Matlack Florist and I have been delayed in writing this review, hoping that the experience would improve. Unfortunately, it has not. My grandmother suffers from severe memory loss. She likes to send us flowers on holidays, but due to her condition, unfortunately will send multiple arrangements to the same address, for the same holiday, (unnecessarily spending double or sometimes triple what an arrangement or two should cost). We have expressed the delicacy of this situation to Matlack Florist, numerous times, in hopes that this could be dealt with, with any degree of sensitivity. When my grandmother is aware of her memory loss, she becomes extremely distressed. We simply asked Matlack to tell my grandmother that they received her order, yet to not fill any of the orders. We have been told multiple times that since this is an organization that cares about customer satisfaction, we could be accommodated. We have not been accommodated, and actually far from it. My grandmother called to order Mother's Day flowers and was told her family members do not wish to receive flowers from her any longer and her order could not be filled. She was devastated by this message. This request is NOT a difficult one. When we called to ask about this latest development, we were met with coldness. The sheer insensitivity of this is mind-boggling. My grandmother and, entire family, have been unbelievably loyal patrons, since Matlack opened. We will never order from this organization again, and since receiving no support, will do our best to make sure my grandmother doesn't either. It is certainly clear that Matlack cares more about collecting payment on each of these orders, than supporting a faithful customer during a difficult time in her life. read more

Totally bummed. I called this morning 9/14 and ordered an arrangement to be delivered to my best friend's daughter on her 7th Birthday. I specifically said please do not deliver till after 3:30 that's when she gets home from school. The plan was for her to see the delivery person and answer the door! The delivery person ruined the surprise and delivered it at 2:30 pm. :( I would however like to say that the person who took the order was super friendly and helpful. I had asked for pink flowers and something fit for a princess and she took the notes of the order down perfectly. I know this because when I called back to let them know what had happened another representative read them to me verbatim. The second rep asked if there was anything she could do but there wasn't. The driver couldn't go pick the flowers up and re-deliver (which was offered) because she was already on her way home. I will say this.... the arrangement was beautiful, but still disappointed. read more

I placed a phone order for a same-day delivery of flowers for my Mom's birthday . The salesperson was wonderful and helped me to select an arrangement within my price range. Even though I called in around 11:30, the flowers were out for delivery by 2:00! My Mom missed the delivery person the first time, but they came back right away when she called them. Most importantly, my Mom LOVED the flowers. Beautiful, colorful, and abundant -- what more could I have asked for? Great customer service and beautiful product. I ordered wrist corsages for my mother and fiancé's mother for our wedding. They were very helpful with guiding me towards my selection. However, my fiancé forgot to pick them up on the day of the wedding. Our mistake and our loss. Wedding Bouquet: Very very very good. I emailed Matlack with an explanation (and corresponding photos) of what I wanted. I got a final quote. When I got there I had to pay a little more because they forgot to add shipping charges. The flowers arrived on time and the bouquet was beautiful. Exactly how I asked. The flowers were exactly as pictured. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the final quote was changed when I arrived AND I know the quality of the flowers could've been better. Meaning: During my first marriage I requested the same type of bouquet but different colors. The lilies used were so crisp they almost felt plastic. The bouquet lasted a few days. This bouquet, the lilies started "shriveling" and red rose's edges started turning color by halfway through the day. Luckily, pictures were over by then. So although the bouquet looked EXACTLY as requested (beautiful), comparing this bouquet to the first I could tell the flowers / flower quality wasn't the absolute best. read more

Well, the shop is beautiful, but the prices are not. I was quoted over $700 including a $100 "delivery fee" for less than a five mile delivery. Other florists in the area have quoted a total of $500 (including delivery & tax) for the same flowers. Once the sales person quoted the price, she immediately wrapped up the conversation with me and walked out. Not my idea of working with a bride for her budget needs. I live in Atlanta, GA and ordered flowers for my Grandmother who lives in Pennsylvania for her 90th birthday. I didn't quite know what I wanted but, the woman who took my order asked the right questions and assured me she would put together something very nice. She most certainly did! I chose Matlack because they were thorough, reasonable, accepted credit cards, and delivered. Debbie was great in being able to correspond through email, which is really all I could do, since I work in an office 9-5. On the day of our wedding, the flowers arrived on time and were 95% as I had described (There was some subtle blush color in the bridesmaids' bouquets that was only supposed to be in mine).
