We had a lovely experience dining here at Matsuhisa. I've been to a lot of the Nobu locations in other countries and was happy to see that there was a Matsuhisa here. The food lived up to the expectations and the service was great. Definitely recommend checking this restaurant out if you're in the mood for some amazing Japanese. The Black Cod is an amazing signature dish. The gyoza, yellowtail jalapeno and the salmon were all delicious too. When we were back in Paris next, we will be back here again.

We were recommended by another really good restaurant called Chez Ly, and we definitely did not regret this. Its a little pricey, but you get what you ordered. Definitely really good. I recommend the Wagyu Beef Tobayaki, one of the best wagyu I had. Looks great, tastes like heaven. We ordered the Black Angus and it was €35 but the waiter got it wrong and ordered us the wagyu which was around £85. Our Waiter kindly told us we could have it at the same price of the Black Angus which was really lucky. It was a little tough but still tender. We recommend you that if you like your wagyu rough. We had it with Antimucho sauce which was a little spicy. My little brother wanted hot chocolate but it wasn't on the menu. The Waiter said she'd see what she can do, and a couple minutes later she came back with hot chocolate. The service was really friendly, though the atmosphere is a little dark. This is fine dining. We definitely recommend you to come! The service is exceptionally good and friendly, great food. Worth it. Would come again! If you're looking for something casual, this isn't the place.

Decent Japanese, like entry level food , service is impeccable though. Don't expect the best Japanese, but you won't be disappointed either

Just so amazing! The beef with fried rice was perfection. Absolutely love how hot they served their green tea.

They have reservations available online, but not for the bar. Warning: This is a very upscale, elegant/chic bar/restaurant that ranges from well dressed businessmen to ladies in haute couture. It's incredible and very Gatsby feeling- but can make you feel underdressed very easily. Do not come here dressed like a slouch or you'll feel out of place. On the other hand, use this place as an excuse to go all out with an outfit. The drinks at the bar are world class. €20 each on average but well worth it. Comfortable seating, friendly staff. Highly recommend the old fashioneds!! Definitely a spot to hit on your trip- and easy to coordinate if you have tickets to crazy horse which is around the corner.

For context, we are American, but pretty much no-one else in the place were tourists as far as I could make out. At the door we were greeted with a smile by Samuel - charming, polite, but you definitely wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of this guy! (also if we had just rolled up on a Friday with no reservation it might have been a problem, but he recognized us from the Tuesday). Inside, the hostess was very beautiful and exchanged compliments with my wife - again, charming and friendly. And inside, Gucci was very efficient and (on the Tuesday when we ate) was very detail oriented - knew all about the food and drinks and exactly how he wanted them made by his bartender. On the Friday "people" (very funny and charming guy) and Nelson (more serious but still friendly!) were very, very busy making drinks for the large crowd at the bar. The crowd was all well dressed, mostly 30+ I think, very happy and friendly. Side note - we ate there on the Tuesday from the full menu and all was very good. This being Paris, they are not geared for eating at the bar, but Gucci made an exception and asked the chef and so we were able to try the dishes - excellent! Oh, final thing, we left around 1am (I think!) and only just realized as we left the place had a nightclub at the back - people dancing, bottle service, music etc. Too crazy for this old(er) couple, but looked like a lot of fun for the well-heeled 30+ crowd. I see other reviews with pics of the owner - didn't meet or see him, but whoever he is, he has some very good staff here - every one was right on point, friendly, efficient, a real credit to the place. Merci beaucoup Manko's!

As it happened, we spent a long touring day visiting Monet's Garden & House in Giverny and the Palace & Gardens at Versailles. By the time we got back to the hotel, we were too exhausted even to hunt for an eatery in Le Marais, so we stayed in. It was a large space with only a couple of tables occupied with guests. However, there was a constant stream of people walking through the restaurant to the taqueria bar in the next room. It was kinda odd, but since the hotel owns both places, I guess it's all in the family. We kept it pretty light and shared an appetizer and a main course, though we treated ourselves to a couple of their specialty desserts. First up was the 10€ Papas Rellenas, four crispy potato croquettes with minced beef and parsley mayonnaise (Photo 7). Our main dish was a bit smallish, the 17€ Escabeche de Poulet, a pair of fried chicken legs in aji panco sauce with sweet potato and olives (Photo 6). The chicken was tender with a crunchy coating. We finished off the meal with two desserts, first being the 9€ Alfajores. That was a shortbread biscuit in vanilla ice cream with a dulce con leche filling and chocolate-caramel glaze (Photo 8). The final treat was the 8€ Choux Nikkei, a pair of profiteroles filled with whipped cream, matcha tea, and lemon cream (Photo 10). A nice dining experience despite the walkthrough traffic and further proof of the melting pot of culinary choices in Le Marais. But considering how fresh it is, the presentation, and the dining environment, it is worth it. It's a great place to take your friends and share a few plates. They advertise themselves as tapas style ceviche. Typically each person orders a main and a side and everyone can share. We did that with our three people and it was the perfect amount. We ordered the salmon nikkei, white fish, and tuna tataki. All were delicious because they combined great flavor with great texture. Each dish had a crunchy component, a sauce, and additional condiments such as onion, cilantro, or sesame to add extra depth in flavor. My favorite was definitely the salmon! It had mangoes, crunchy pine nuts, a generous dollop of guac, onions, and sesame seeds. The mains are around €15 each. For sides we got the mashed sweet potato (with cheese on top). This was really good! AND WARM. Most of the food here is cold and raw... so it was nice to have a warm bowl of starch. The quinoa salad was also good as a side. Provided extra texture and was lightly marinated. Guac and chips was also good, classic. Overall, I would highly recommend taking friends here!
