She immediately put me at ease and noticed where she could help, taking great care to patiently and deftly relieve years of tension and poor circulation (as a result of arthritis in my knee) As I await surgery she has helped me improve and maintain flexibility and mobility. I'd reached a point where I was feeling desperate to move more fluidly but the pain with prohibitive. With a combination of her exceptional technique and physiological insight she has released me from a sedantry and restrictive lifestyle, reduced pain levels and increased my mobility in ways I might I have only dreamed a few months ago. Another huge benefit has been, by working to increase function in my legs, she has also significantly improved my blood pressure, which had become a concern. We decided to test it in one session so I took readings before during and after a treatment, with astounding results: Before; 151/94, During: 144/81, After: 116/64. My issues were tight ham strings, short Achilles tendons and minor low back pain. Any slight discomfort during sessions felt constructive, change that's for the better. I was particularly aware of Madeleine's care, concentration and focussed attention, and how she minutely observed my posture and movements before and after work. The clarity of her explanations gradually helped me to understand something of how I had been holding and using my body, and how we were together working on improving that. It seemed to be a short-cut , achieving change that would have taken several years of yoga stretches to accomplish. I came away feeling better in my body, and determined to maintain the changes she had brought about by continuing with yoga stretches and ensuring I kept up my improved posture. I'm still doing both, and very pleased with the whole experience.

She listened carefully to what I wanted and double checked before cutting which was reassuring. Linda has cut my fringe here and she also did a great job. Both ladies seem to know everyone who comes in - and it is a busy salon as there wasn't a gap for two days when I called for an appointment. They also seem to be a favourite in the area to cut children's hair but don't worry if you have come here to relax - there is a firm notice on the door stating that children must be quiet and under control! It is certainly relaxing here, they keep the local radio on low. Aside from the hairdressers you can also get a massage and waxing of various hairy bits done here. The back rooms are split up into little modules for each of the treatments. Prices for haircuts are very good - I paid £16 for a wet cut and £2 for a quick fringe trim.
