I was assigned to attorney Taylor J Kane to handle my case. I just recently found out after filing a grievance that she mentioned she was a contracting attorney. Nothing was mentioned about her affiliation with this law firm that she was a contracting attorney. Also, it wasn't clarify to me that I will need to contact Rusz legal directly for any concerns I have about my case. When I assumed that Taylor Kane was assigned to my case she should be my contact person during the proceedings. And whom I have being communicating with during her representation until I asked her to withdraw from my case. She was in charge of my case until I noticed some discrepancies with documents she claimed she filed in court. Which on my statement it said they were drafted and I was billed for those services and none were filed in the court system . Attorney Kane only filed discovery and interrogatories. I had a pre trial on 3/28/26. Taylor Kane didn't show up for that trial. Instead she assigned her colleague who I get to find out doesn't work for Rusz legal services on the day of the trial whom I have never worked with in the past. I tried reaching out to Taylor Kane About concerns I have for my upcoming pre trial. Because she tried to change my pre trial date without my consent. I knew after she had filed to change the date and the court denied it. So I asked her what can be done. She waited until the morning of my trial and told me she was sending someone to represent me. On 4/29/25 I had my second pre trial because the opponent failed to appear at the first pre trial on 3/28/25. When the opponent showed up he was asking for things I didn't felt was right. And was not going to be in my favor. Because he never turned in full financial disclosures. Therefore, I asked I want to go to trial instead. Attorney Kane was trying to force me to settle with the opponent's request. She told me trials are expensive that if I were in California my claims didn't matter and she doesn't care she is gonna be paid if I chose to move to trial. once I found out that some of the documents she had claimed were done and was never filed in court and her making that comments. Which I felt was inappropriate. I immediately asked her to withdraw from my case. Because it seemed like she didn't have my best interest. I proceed to hire a new counsel for my case on 5/5/25. my new counsel entered on 6/18/25. I asked that my files are transferred to my new counsel. Attorney Kane failed to transfer my files on time. Claiming that she was just a contracting attorney for Rusz legal services and Rusz legal should have done the transfer to my new counsel. I tried several times reaching Rusz legal about my files to be transferred. And everytime they will refer me back to Attorney Kane and Mentioned they have notify her about my request. My trial date was on 8/28/25. My files were not turned in to my new counsel until 8/12/25. Which caused for my other counsel to not prepared enough to represent me well. Taylor kane also didn't complete my short financial form correctly. Which was rejected and I found out about that on day of trial by the judge. because it wasn't correctly done: this caused a lot of procedural errors on my divorce decree. That made me felt a lot dissatisfied about this firm's attorneys that are assigned to represent your case.
