This Place is a joke. Long Story Short I purchased a 3,200.00 Mattress 7months later it is sagging. Sleeppys comes and wants to charge me 79.00 to do an inspection which I fight and win. They came and their response was we will come and inspect it for a second opinion for 79.99. MY Mattress isn't even a year old. These people are crooks. DO NOT buy from this store. Drive about 10 minutes and go to the Oceanside store and see Howie. Here's why...its a long story! My mom is moving from my childhood home to a 1 bedroom apartment. She needs to downsize to a queen bed so I agreed topurchased her a new bed. I told her to go shopping, find what she wanted and that I would go in and take care of paying for it. She went to the Lynbrook store and dealt with the manager, Shawn Harkness. She wanted to look at two specific mattresses to compare comfort and height. He showed her both and she decided on one of them. They then talked about an adjustable base. He told her he could give her an amazing deal if she purchased a mattress and a specific adjustable base. The price was within the budget that I gave her so she agreed to put a small deposit down to hold the mattress and base at the price discussed. The next evening I picked up the receipt from my mom and went over to the store to pay the balance. Before going into the store I carefully read the receipt and noticed that the base said "pre-owned". I quickly called my mom to confirm what she discussed with Shawn. She was very upset because at no point in her conversation with him did he mention that it was pre-owned. She would have never agreed to that. I got out of the car and walked toward the store. There was a note taped to the inside of the door saying that someone "stepped away for a moment" and would be "back shortly" and a phone number. Just as I was about to call the number, a gentleman walked around the corner and introduced himself as Shawn. I proceeded to try to enter the store and he informed me that the was "locked out". (Hmmm....remember, there was a sign taped to the INSIDE of the door saying that someone stepped away.) I introduced myself and told him why I was there. I questioned the "pre-owned" description of the base and his story was completely different than my moms. I told him that I wanted to cancel the order and I would go somewhere else. He didn't like that response and agreed to change the receipt to a new base at the same price. He couldn't do it at that moment so he took my number. I went in the next day and had the receipt change to say "prime" which is the word used to ensure the product is new. I scheduled delivery for the upcoming Saturday between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. I was told my Shawn that I would receive a call the night before giving me a 2 hour window and then called again when the truck was on its way. Friday night I never received a call. I checked the website and it was not routed on a truck. I tried calling the store around 7:30 pm (they close at 9:00 pm) and the call would not go through. I went to the store first thing Saturday morning and again spoke with Shawn. The order was not routed because the headboard brackets that were ordered were showing out of stock. I never received a phone call or email telling me this! Shawn claimed to not know either. He was able to get me on same day delivery with a delivery window of 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. He assured me that he would call around 3:45 pm to find out a more specific delivery time. He made due on his promise and called around 4:00 pm to say that I could expect deliver between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. I left the house shortly after hanging up the phone. I then got a call from the delivery truck at 4:45 pm telling me they were outside the house! I told the driver that I was 10 minutes away and asked him to please wait. He agreed. I got home in less than 10 minutes and there was no delivery truck. I called the store and spoke with Frederick. He said he would call the delivery company and get back to me. When he did, he told me that because I refused delivery that I would have to reschedule for another day. After a few inappropriate words and a lot of yelling, the truck was sent back and the bed was delivered. If you've read this far, thank you! I am disgusted and disappointed of the series of events. Starting with Shawn trying to take advantage of a 72 year old woman and ending with poor communication between the warehouse and the store. read more

This move involved a bed a purchase at Mattress Firm in Lynbrook and its shipment to Las Vegas, Nevada. All was well in the purchase as Sandra and the store's manager Rhonda Kohn provided great service and assured me I made a great purchase and will have no problems with delivery. Fast forward to the delivery and everything went well except for wall damage in my new apartment that happened during installation. Rhonda Kohn reached out to me immediately once she heard and inquired about the incident. She apologized profusely and arranged for me to receive a rather nice complimentary pillow for my troubles. Rhonda took time out her day and wrote up a sales order for me to bring into the nearest Las Vegas Mattress Firm to pick up my pillow. The process was quick and painless. I was more than thrilled with her level of detail and professionalism. I would surely recommend anyone in Ny to visit her for their bedding needs. You won't be disappointed. read more

My wife and I just purchased a mattress here and dealt with Jim. I would recommend him as your salesman, he is down to earth, very knowledgeable about everything and was NOT pushy at all just to sell a mattress. We did not feel rushed in selecting what we wanted and he was able to get our delivery the next day. Also, the store was very clean and well kept. I bought a mattress from this location and boy was it to good to be true. Was promised a 120 night guarantee didn't get that cause we got a floor model. Told it would support our weight since we're bigger people, that was a lie. So now I'm out $1,200 and with a bad bed. Definitely will not shop at any mattress firm ever again. I was glad I stopped my parents just in time as they were about to buy one. If you have to buy a mattress go to the one in Elmont they were the ones that were the most helpful. Also they won't post my 1 star review on their website cause it doesn't meet "guidelines" no wonder why they don't have any rating under a 4 cause they don't post the bad ones read more

So I first went to the Rockville Centre Mattress firm location and did not have the best experience. When I walked into the store the manager or sales associate was on the phone arguing with another customer. So I looked around and tested some mattresses out. I then noticed another customer who looked frustrated and was standing by the managers desk waiting for him to get off the phone. This manager not only didn't acknowledge either of the customers in the store but also started yelling at the customer on the phone saying things like "I'm not sure why he told you that I'm his boss and that's wrong." So inappropriate and he just continued to ignore the 2 customers in the store, not even a "hey I'll be right with you" just totally ignored. I ended up asking the other customer how long he was there for and he said 15 minutes. After 15 minutes I left because I didn't have the time and I still had yet to be acknowledged but the manager. A mattress store isn't a store that many people just come in and look around and browse so to be treated like that in the actual store put such a bad taste in my mouth. Then I went to the Lynbrook Mattress firm and what a difference in customer service. I was kindly welcomed to the store, asked questions about what I was looking for, etc. Nusrut was the manager that helped me and she was awesome. She educated me on different mattress types, had me try multiple ones to see what I liked best, and even had me do a neat little shoulder test to see what the best fit would be for me. A true expert!! She was polite, super friendly and overall a very sweet person. Nusrut genuinely felt bad about my experience in Rockville Centre and in my opinion went above and beyond to help me. I had a wonderful experience at the Lynbrook office. Rhonda was amazing!! I went in to put money down on an old order under Sleepys corporation and unfortunately my information was no longer in the computer due to a new system. Rhonda took the time to organize and fill my order, even though it was a lengthy process. A couple of weeks later I went to the Rockville Centre (which is closer to my house) office to pay the remaining balance to and the woman who helped me was clueless and very unhelpful. She told me to go back to the Lynbrook office because she couldn't figure out how to collect the balance. Smh. So to inconvenience myself I drove another town over and went back to Rhonda who was again was helpful and resolved the issue. read more

Don't buy a mattress from this store, they do not stand behind the damage caused by their delivery company. I live on Cherry Lane and their drivers lost their balance coming in my front door and changed the alignment of my front door so bad not only does it not close completely it scrapers our wood floor. Up until this delivery we even had a rug that the door had no trouble clearing. After 6 complaint calls, I was finally told today that my claim has been denied! Drivers said they did nothing , what a surprise. No one from Sleepy's has ever come to the house to survey the damage or took an interest. Helen Francavilla read more

good store but needs better Sales People. i came in to exchange a defective bed and look for a better one in my price range. i was not looking to spending thousands of dollars on a temporary bed as i am in school and work part time. the sales lady i felt like did not listen to my needs and kept pushing more expensive beds for a bigger commission. my boyfriend was with me and he was talking about his bed and i felt like she was more interested in him making a purchase than me. she was very rude and snotty. people like her are the reason i hate going into mattress stores. she did not make me feel very good about myself in there. i found the perfect bed for me but i felt my boyfriend sold it to me more than she did. she said to me "this is the bed i would buy if i had the job you do." i was furious ! when she rang me up for the bed after delivery charge & a bed return charge (which i think is ridiculous to charge someone for the stores defective bed) it ended up being over $1,000. that was not what i was looking to spend and about to walk and go to a different Sleepy's. thank god the store manager stepped in. he must have seen that i was about to walk out and brought the price down A LOT. he seemed to understand my needs and my budget. he was very nice and attentive. if i ever decide to come back to the store i will be asking for him. this is a great store and has a lot of potential you need more sales people like your store manager. he cares about his customers and not about the price tag. i am very happy with my purchase because of him. read more
