I had a seafood platter and my husband ordered the sea salt crusted sea bass. Our waiter told us that the wait would be half an hour for the fish. I got my food fairly quickly but after an hour we were still waiting for the sea bass. When we asked about it our waiter simply said this dish takes a while to prepare. Finally, the fish came, and we were far from impressed. Once you got rid of the crust, there was very little to eat, and no side came with it. Looking at the plates of other clients (I had plenty of time to observe!), it seems like you need to know what to order when visiting Blu Blu Blu. I noticed that a lot of people where having seafood platters and also mussels (which came in a huge pot). Our experience was ruined by the bad service and very long wait for my husband's dish that came without any apology.

Given the stench, we obviously went for the Tirolese menu (no fish). € 15 for a platter of a tiny piece of foie gras just out of the fridge (had to wait for it to reach room temperature), scanty slices of smoked goose ham and plain crostini. Good but nothing to die for. My filet with truffles & foie gras was truly excellent. A dish to remember also by its price, 28 euros. Dessert: I immodestly can make a much better Apfelstrudel than the one we shared. My mate's dish (pappardelle with lard and truffles was totally tasteless). We paid only €36 in the end,but without a 50% discount it would have been a total ripoff. We had to say bye to the owner, shouldn't it be the other way around? A letdown was the expensive tempura specialty roll, which ended up being swirled in so much rice with only romaine lettuce as the green--that stumped me. It was barely edible. However, our added on salmon nigiris were delicious, but we were shocked to see that each piece was 3.50 euros! That's usually the price for two nigiris. Beware that they sell them by PIECE, not by twos. You'll get fresh fish here, but just beware of the steeper prices. It's a nicer Japanese sit down in Milan, and is located in the business area of the city.
