This was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Not only was the driver extremely rude and unprofessional, but my vehicle was damaged during the tow, and they refused to take responsibility for it. On top of that, I was overcharged well beyond what was originally quoted. The pricing felt deceptive and unfair, and when I questioned it, I was treated with disrespect and attitude instead of being given a clear explanation. This company clearly does not care about customers or their vehicles. Repairs to a damaged rear side panel, which was not covered by insurance was completed in a swift and efficient manner. The staff were easy to work. The work quality was excellent. Be sure to drive there at low traffic times, as the traffic patterns make it difficult to drive into the parking lot. The city/road dept needs to correct this. read more

This place should be shut down. My 17 year old daughter was in accident which was not her fault. Her car was totaled and Mauldin Body shop tow truck person told her to wait to get her stuff out and that she could come by the next day. She did and they told her that until they were paid $600 that she could not get her IHOP work uniform out of the car. She brought the accident report showing clear fault of the other driver and all the insurance information for the driver. They said that they needed a claim number from the other guys insurance. We called back our insurance and they are on hold with claims department while my daughter waits there to get out her IHOP uniform. I spoke to Cad who was no help. Maudlin review These folks are rip off artist! Charged my 92 year old father almost $1000 to work a wreck. Charged storage fees over Thanksgiving holiday weekend prior to starting repair work. Rude on the phone and very unprofessional. They actually sent a nasty letter saying they would sell his car if not picked up. How can these folks take advantage of folks like this?? I wrecked my truck last night and all I needed were my tools out so I could go to work, they told me I had to have a claim number, once I got the claim number they said I had to pay the tow bill in order to get my tools out of my truck and take the truck with me, which wasn't drivable. I have full coverage insurance and they are still holding my tools, which I use to make a living, hostage until the tow bill is payed by the insurance company, bunch of damn crooks. the lady obviously has a terrible life she hates to be so damn miserabl. They denied my insurance company access to look at the car /photos they sent me a letter saying that I abandoned the car and they wanted to sell it I said it's a insurance claim you have the claim number!! that was a red flag !!! I have used Mauldin before so it was a no-brainer where to go after a fender bender in October. My daughter had needed body work a few months ago and went to several locations for estimates. The other 3 places were much more expensive and were months away from being able to fix it (lack of workers). Mauldin is a family-run place and I trust them. Most of the damage to my car was behind the front bumper so it had to come off in order to get an estimate. That couldn't be done in multiple places so I didn't get an estimate anywhere else. I got an estimate on the bumper at Mauldin, knowing that other damage, especially AC, was there also. Once the bumper came off on December 6, I got an estimate for the rest of it. I came out better than I thought I would. They had issues getting parts, which is standard for today, but still got them for my 17 year old car. The front of my car looks like it did when it was new. I knew there was a little frame damage so that was the big issue to me. It rides as good or better than it ever has. I am very pleased. read more

Ripe off, I was towed about 15 miles and my bill was over $400, they kept the car 2 days. First day I called to check to see if any damage and they said they hadn't had time to look yet. So, I called the next day and still got they hadn't had time to look at it yet. I told them I would pick up later in the day. So, I was charge for 2 days storage. Since there was no damage and they didn't have time to look at the car. I said they should only charge me for one day as I would have picked up the previous day. I was told no, charged for two days. I used them per recommendation of the sheriff's office, I have a hard time understanding why the Sheriff's office recommends someone so expensive. read more

Truck broke down this morning on the side of the road this morning, called Mauldin Towing and wanted my truck towed about 35 miles, said $50 pick up and $4 a mile. I don't break down but about once every 10 years or so but I thought that was ridiculous. I called Ingram Towing, said $65 pickup and $2 a mile. I chose Ingram Towing. read more

DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY HOOK YOUR CAR AT ALL COSTS! After an accident, they drove off before I could give instructions to either deliver the car to my home or mechanic. They stole my car. Georgia drivers have the right to direct tow operators as to where the vehicle should end up. As I am told by Cherokee County Deputy Sheriffs, this is usually a cash pay option which was possible. After the car was delivered to a lot I did not approve, I asked Mark to check the car to see if it could be fixed. He told me to call back. I did the following day, he said they were looking for parts. He did not assess the car, nor provide any mechanic input. I asked him if he had my phone number and he said yes, though I had never given it to him. We went into the weekend, and of course the "24 hour" towing company was closed. I called the following Monday and asked about how much they were going to tell me I owed. Mark said 300 for the accident, 75 for admin, and 35 for storage (never mentioned a daily rate), and said he would waive the storage. I responded with a question about where the service agreement was that showed I owed this, and he replied that "it was 300 for the accident, 75 for admin, and it would be 35 a day for storage, have a nice day" then promptly hung up. At 08:58 on the following Tuesday I called to inform Debbie that I would pick the car up at 11:30. She said that they "would do what they could do", I then called back at 11:10 and spoke to Mark to inform that my tow driver would be there at 12:30. Mark said that would be fine. I had called the police to escort me as I expected the multiple cars placed in front of my vehicle had not been moved... the cars had not been moved and we wasted valuable police resources waiting for the Mauldin staff to move 5 cars in front of my vehicle to allow my tow driver to load it. Debbie asked for my owner info and stated that "we don't just let people take cars" to which I responded " that is exactly what you did, you did not have my authorization to bring the vehicle here". When time came for payment (with police in the room) the bill was $350. 150 for the tow, which is fine, 50 for cleanup, which Cherokee FD did and Mauldin has no right to, and 25 per day for storage, which Debbie said was a "good deal". She said it's usually 35. I found it odd that there was such a discrepancy among verbal and paper totals with law enforcement present, which indicates they have no business skills and are simply attempting to prey upon anyone they can. I requested the company's insurance card and was told straight up "no" by Debbie. I have pictures of the vehicle before and after it was hooked, and there is obvious additional damage from the tow. If you stole my car in the first place, 1 dollar is more than you deserve, so we are way past fair. Check this shop's website, and see that the towing page is completely blank of any info. They are thieves and con artists, and are happy to prey upon anyone that they think is at a disadvantage. I have contacted my local Sheriff, and will continue to do so in any effort to remove this company from any non-preferential tow rotation list. Nausiating experience from beginning to end. Our company, family and friends have used Mauldin Towing for years and had many good experiences. I have never submitted a negative review for any company...however this time I feel I have to for other women. On Friday 01/26/18 I called Mauldin at 8:30 a.m. to have my disabled vehicle towed to the repair shop. The gentlemen who answered was very polite and assured me, despite being very busy, that they would pick up my vehicle that day. I waited until 4:30 p.m. and called in again to check on the status of picking up my car. Freddie answered and again, kindly reassured me that his driver was returning from Dalton but would have my car picked up right after. At 8:30 p.m., my car was still stranded in an empty industrial park, keys left in car at their direction, unlocked- yet not picked up. This time the dispatch told me they only took 911 calls. They didn't know what to tell me except- you car isn't getting picked up! Needless to say, it's 8:30 a.m.- 24 hours later, and my car is still sittingwhere it broke down, unlocked, keys inside, unattended- still no call from Mauldin, no follow up, no care or concern that a female caller may be stranded, waiting on their promised assistance. All they had to do was let me know that they would be unable to get me help and I could have called another company. My husband was out of town and he usually calls them when we need them. I feel completely disregarded because I am a female. My husband has never had to call back three times to check on his appointment. This was a very scary experience and I don't want another female to feel worry, stress, or fear like I have the last 24 hours. Again, I have never made a negative review about any company or service but I felt I need to warn other women. I hope Mauldin Wrecker Service will do a better job of taking care of ALL their customers- not just men. Until then, women call Daniel's Towing in Canton. Horrible! I got in a car accident and had my car towed here. A repair that should've taken 3 days took 3 weeks. When they finally called to say it was ready they were super difficult to work with and tried telling me it wasn't ready. The customer service was horrible. The people were rude. They seemed to have no clue what was going on and didn't know how to communicate. Having no car for 3 weeks was bad enough and when I finally got it back, it was even bloody fixed!! I took it to another shop to get fixed and payed another $200. DO NOT Waste your time here. Crap service and crap repairs. I was extremely disappointed in dealing with the office staff at Mauldin. I was in there twice, once to ask questions about payment for a repair that was being done that we were paying for and then the next day to actually make the payment. The office was very rude and disrespectful in how they spoke and interacted with me. And as I was going in to make the payment I noticed the car that was repaired was left messy with what looked like tape residue all over the windows although the repair itself looked ok. My daughter had a small fender bender and as a lifelong resident of Canton we decided to allow a locally owned business to handle our repairs. We took the truck to Mauldin- and have had such a horrible, unprofessional experience. We received a call from a lady at Mauldin explaining to us that she had to order parts for the repair and repeatedly suggested that we pick up our truck or else we would be responsible for extra days on the rental. In her tone it sounded liked it was a demand. I had already spoken with the insurance company and we had our rental agreement worked out. After speaking with my family we decided to pick up the truck only hours later from receiving the request from the lady at Mauldin. We asked for the written estimate back because we were taking elsewhere for repairs, She tossed the paper across the desk and was upset because she said she had already ordered parts. We asked where the check was that was attached and she said it had been shredded! The check was payable to me , as I am the policy holder.. Makes no sense to me why she would order parts and then shred the check.. Perhaps my name was signed and maybe deposited? If you think being a co owner gives you the right to be rude and unprofessional you're wrong. So thankful to be totally opposite of what this company stands for. read more

They used J hooks under rear where there is nothing to hook on and bent the rear end and bent rods that hold rear wheels. Totalled the car and lied about it. I have never been treated as rudely in my life as I was by the owner and her daughter today. My son's car had been towed in there 2 weeks ago after a minor accident, and we had been waiting ever since for an estimate for repairs. We were told there would be a delay over the Thanksgiving holidays, but we didn't receive an estimate until late Thursday afternoon by phone, when we were told it was totaled (they were estimating $3000 to repair it when its value was about $1000). So today (Saturday morning) I called to find out their Saturday hours, and I was told that they were open to the public only from 4-5 this afternoon. I planned my day around this so that I could take my husband by to look at the car and for my son to get his stuff out. When we arrived, I asked for a printed copy of the estimate and was told by the owner that we needed to come on a weekday for that. I explained that I had been told to come between 4 and 5 and she said "Who told you that??" and when I told her the name of the person she said "He's just a body shop mechanic." My husband examined the car and felt that their estimate was far too high. He found the car driveable so decided he was going to take it home, and I went to pay for the towing. They refused my credit card and told me cash only, then said they would not wait for me to go get cash from an ATM. All the time, they were telling me what a "piece of crap" the car was and how they didn't want to be bothered with it or with us. When I told the owner I would need to come back in a few days with cash, she offered to take a credit card "just to get rid of us." We had been nothing but polite and courteous and they were peeved because we were there on a Saturday, even though her employee had instructed me to come at that time. Again, I cannot understand how a company can stay in business with owners who treat customers like this, and I recommend that you stay away from this business. read more

Disappointed I even have to give them 1 star. The absolute worst customer service I have ever received. Took a friend to pick up his bike. As soon as he tried to speak to the man, he immediately interrupted with an overly aggressive tone. There is a new law where you can show even an officer a picture of insurance or registration on your phone ( verified by the police officer that responded). As he tried to ask why they needed a paper copy, instead of replying with a simple "we need it for our records" or whatever reason, the woman asked "do you wanna call the sheriffs department and ask them yourself?" To which my friend replied "yes I do" and the woman slammed the phone down and both of them started cursing and yelling. Telling us "you f**ked up" (super professional...) they then proceeded to follow us out, still cursing and acting completely irrational, took a picture of my plate, and followed the car around the corner. The owner really needs to take a long look at his employees, unless of course that is the owner in which case maybe he should just cut his losses and close shop. read more

Son's car was towed by police. When I got there, I found out that there is a $75 state administrative fee if the car is there 3 days or more. I had called once and my step-granddaughter had also called, and neither time was this charge mentioned. I asked the lady why and her answer was "we do the best we can do". I said what if I came without the extra money, which was almost the case, and her answer was the same statement. I said that was not good enough and she wanted to throw me out. I said it is a disservice to others to not be told that and she did not care. She handed me back $75 and said since I was unhappy, I could have it back. I said I thought it was mandatory and she said they would have to pay it. I gave the money back to her saying I was not intending to cheat anyone, I just wanted future people to be told. Then I left, that was enough rudeness to a customer. Wish I had her name I called Daniel's Body shop and asked the cost of getting an impounded car out. He said $125 towing plus $25 per day storage and a state administrative fee of $75 if it is there 3 days. So if Daniel's can tell you, why can't Mauldins? THEY DO NOT CARE. Soo... 2 calls to Mauldin did not provide the $75 fee and 1 call to Daniel's did. I am sorry there is no choice of towing companies. read more

WARNING: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS BODY SHOP. My younger sister's car got hit while parked and took it to this body shop. She is a full time college student and works as well. They told her it would take 3 days to be fixed so she made accommodations for work and school for those three days.. Three days come and go and she received no call from the body shop. She has to call them and they change the date 2 more times. My dad then calls down there to get a grip on the situation to find out why they are giving out estimates they can't keep. People have lives and make transportation arrangements. When my little sister goes down to finally pick up her car, the lady tells my sister "how rude my dad is", and that she's sorry that my sister has to deal with him.. I tried to be very nice by telling them this and their instant response was 'oh there is no way we did that, it looks like someone threw a rock at it.'
