Would never recommended this place to anyone. Super unprofessional staff and they only want more money from customers. I tried to get more flea meds for my pets as I do every month and they told me they'd have to see them again for a yearly before doing so. I haven't taken my cat in for quite some time so this is brand new news to me. They told me I would have to bring them in before they could get meds and said they haven't given me flea meds when they most definitely have. It was their "policy" . Well that hasn't been the case up until now and I love how they tell me they haven't given me flea meds when I've been getting them from them every month! Hilarious. This clinic is exactly what my guys need. As i have mastiffs, they do require an experienced vet. The diagnostic was complete, accurate, and much cheaper then we've experienced. They are a busy practice, so give yourself time. read more

I came here for a litter having learned of a good reputation for small animal reproductive services. Apart from the normal litter related items, MCVH is outstanding and took care of our girl and a puppy who developed an infection. I am more than willing to drive an hour each way to bring out pups and dogs here now and in future. I cannot say more about how good of an experience I always have with MCVH. read more

Friendly staff and affordable prices! Our appointment started at 8:45 and we were out by 9:00! My dog always has trouble with getting a heart worm test. He cries, growls, and sometimes snaps at the vet. Dr. Myers was so good with my dog. The techs were great as well. My dog never even growled during the whole process! Fantastic experience! We will be back to see Dr. Myers! Around $100 for yearly heart worm test with all vaccines. read more

I just moved to the area and had an emergency. The staff then treated my cat well. When it was time for a follow-up for a his hypothyroidism, I called for an appointment and was given NO instructions about prepping for the visit. When I arrived, a vet tech gave me an attitude because my cat had not had his meds for the morning. I started to leave but the staff decided it would be OK to check his bloodwork if he's had his meds regularly otherwise. I should have left, but I didn't. His thyroid levels were low. When I asked if that was due to his not having his meds this morning they said it could be. I then asked why they did the test if that was possible and the staff member said MOST people KNOW what they're supposed to do before a visit. WTF? This is MY fault? You got your $100 out of me this time. I got a wasted trip and a poor elderly cat that looks like a vampire attacked him. read more

While looking for vets in the Columbia area I was having trouble a coworker told me this place was great. I went on a Saturday it was had a lot of people (which is a good sign I think) staff was friendly and it ended up costing a lot less then I expected. read more

I'm not sure who the older woman is at the front desk, but I will not be coming back because of her. When I first arrived as told, I asked her a question and as she first glanced at me while walking in, she didn't look up once more. I, to be honest, may have at first thought it was because I'm obviously not from Columbia. She literally snapped when I wanted to confirm something the vet said during our pre-op meeting, wouldn't that be in the records? If not, how could the vet remember me within a week of pet visits? We had literally discussed a surgery occurring that day, why wouldn't it be in the records for her to find? Anyways, I sit down and wait, multiple people come in (it's 8 am in the morning), apparently a very busy time for the office. I sit and watch and she is laughing and being so friendly with every person that walks in. Still confused, I assume maybe she knows the regulars. After about 30 min of waiting for the doctor (cutting close to me taking my dog home and still being at work), I walk up to the desk and politely ask the older woman how much longer it might be? Literallllllly no response, no acknowledgment... she turns away and looks at the computer.... Not wanting to argue I just go and sit back down.... 20 minutes more pass and friendly staff escort me to the back and give me a breakdown of the surgery and what to do postop. I walk back up front and go to the front desk to pay and guess what....this woman literally ignores me. I'm standing right in front of her and she is looking at her nails, at the crowd, at the parking lot... anything to do but look at me. This was the moment I really got angry and decided to sit down and that's when it hit me... this woman is literally the last person you would want representing a company who values pets. She randomly fawned over pets, said hi to owners. Not me, she seemed to take offense to my presence and it was my first time! I've never reviewed any business before this but it was blatantly obvious this time around that I needed to. I will never go back again. This lady has to be related to someone working there because I honestly don't see how else she could be employed. I shudder to call and have to speak with her for emergency care. EDIT: To show how completely unbiased I am, I didn't even read the reviews, but I just did. The older woman at the front desk isn't just horrible, she just has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Every single low review has to do with this woman. Doctor, if it's your mom, I suggest you kindly REMOVE her because trust me. Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement and this woman is killing your business. For everyone reading this, go to the ER vet in the Piggly Wiggly Square. I had to take a dog for an emergency once and they kept me up to date all night. DO NOT go to this clinic, even for regular check-ups. Go to the Vet close to Maury County Park. read more

This month is the 3rd year I have brought my dog for his annual check up and THE LAST. The receptionist or whatever she is has no customer service skills what so ever. She is rude, dismissive and has no compassion for animal owners or most importantly animals. That is the utmost reason I will never return. However, I got a bill for $182 that was up from last year almost $40 and last year I requested a sedative for my dog (that did not work AT ALL) that was $25 that I did not refill this year. So do the math, all the other overpriced procedures were identical to last year...so why was it $35 more than last year without a sedative refill??? I would like to mention I have always had very nice Vet's take care of my dog. But this woman and the Cool Spring prices in Columbia are not acceptable!!! read more

I have taken our golden retriever there since she was 5 weeks old. Now she is 12 with big health issues. They were glad to see her last week and run blood work and X-rays for $300.00. Conclusion is possible brain tumor. She has been going down hill rapidly. Called the office to see if there was a good time to bring her in so we wouldn't have t wait in waiting room and was told you just have to make an appointment like everybody else. NO COMPASSION! I went here to get my puppies ears cropped, and had to wait an extra month to get them done due to them requiring pickup at 3:00 pm. Meanwhile 75% of Americans work 9-5 so I had to wait for a Tuesday when they were available for late pickup. When I picked her up her ears were not set, and were instantly folded over (I have pics). They said it will stand over time. About a couple weeks later I called and informed them the ears were not making progress and were still folded. She told me to come in to have the vet set them. I changed work appointments and drove 30 minutes to get there only for them to tell me the vet was in surgery and couldn't set them that day. Months later, her one ear is still folded over (she is 7 months now). I talked to the vet and informed him that for me to drive 30 minutes is very difficult for me with my schedule and having a 2 year old. He told me he would transfer me to the receptionist and they would schedule it. My appointment was for 9:30 am and I had to bring my 2 year old son. When I walked in, no one greeted me or asked for my name. They took 2 patients that got there after me, and after waiting 45 minutes trying to entertain a 2 year old and manage a pup we had to once again, leave without being seen. The receptionist rolled her eyes to the customer because my son was losing patience. I am still left with a dog with a bent ear, and in my opinion is ruined because the vet didn't take appropriate steps to ensure this wouldn't happen, or help make it right when inquired about it. I wouldn't recommend this place for ear crops or vet care in general.. read more

When we moved to Tennessee from Texas, the first thing I did was find a vet clinic for our 4 large dogs. I had 2 wonderful vets in Texas and hoped I'd be as lucky here as I was there. I have been! (and have often told the doctors I wish they could be MY doctor!) The doctors, the vet techs, and the support staff are all professional, helpful, and kind.Even on the busiest days (and they have them), they always have a smile and a kind word about your animals. The doctors listen and treat your animals like their own. No BS, no unnecessary procedures, just the best for you and your animal. Everyone is different and they appreciate that and treat you and your animals accordingly. I have seen animals ranging from dogs and cats to pet goats and pigs, rabbits, and even a few rather unusual 'pets.' They also handle large animals like horses and cows. They are well-rounded in their education and experiences, and are most kind when end of life decisions have to be made. I cannot recommend this practice and these people more highly. After 16 years with them, and 15 cats and dogs we've entrusted to their care, I cannot imagine taking them to anyone else. We are soon moving back to Texas and I will miss them all. I only hope we are as lucky with our new vet as we have been with the vets and staff at MCVH. read more
