One word: Amazing. Being the sweets-fanatic that I am, Max Brenner was the perfect place for me. My gfs and I took it upon ourselves to have a girls night out there to treat ourselves, and it was worth every calorie. I ordered the Spectacular Choc-Fudge Brownie Sundae, which includes the following: Double chocolate ice cream scoops, choc-nut fudge brownie chunks & caramelised pecans, served with crunchy waffle balls & a pot of pure melted chocolate. I said it, people, CRUNCHY WAFFLE BALLS. They are lifechanging, seriously. I would order a bowl of those on their own if I could. The fondue was equally as good, so either of the two (or really anything on the menu) would be a great choice. read more

Having a chocolate addiction, this place was my dream come true! I would get dessert here everyday if I could. Reasonably priced as well. I got the fondue with strawberries/bananas/banana bread and marshmallows and it was 11 dollars. This would be the cutest date spot ever if you got the fondue for two :) read more

Appalling service! I came in with my partner, the place was dirty, the tables were not wiped, and the employee behind the desk didn't acknowledge us walking in and when he did he exclaimed "I'm counting money, ill be with you later". The manner he said it was rude and cold. Another employee helped us out who was also cold and gave off the expression of not wanting to be there. We felt unwelcome. Do not recommend. read more

Was this a joke? My family and I spent 40 minutes for a simple order at surfers paradise branch, Gold Coast and no, it wasn't busy. We went to remind them about us. Went three times and the manager Orrie J clearly didn't care. He was rude since we made de order. Wasn't friendly, didn't look at us when ordering and when my sister asked what flavours where on the Manu he rudely said 'whatever you want'. Finally we were speechless when he refused to refund a horrible chai latte tea and talked behind us when we left. Never apologised for this long wait. I could see that the work environment was bad, disgusted to be in this place which also looked dirty. Waitress always acted like scared of something or someone. Don't recommend this place unless you want be treated like shit. read more

We had some pretty darn good chocolate, ice cream and cappuccino on our visit to Max Brenner's. We had the vanilla ice cream with banana and pieces of waffle which comes with little chocolate balls, some sort of coated crunchy nut or praline and melted chocolate on the side. A really good, fresh cappuccino also served with coco and chocolate not only drizzled over the top but also a square piece of chocolate melting on the side of the specially designed cup/mug. The dessert really wasn't that spectacular anymore, but I was very unimpressed with the staff there tonight. There were no printed menus and no pictures on the wall so we had no idea what anything was like. When asked, the cashier just read out the same description on the board (yeah I can read too buddy thanks). Asked for water when ordered and that never came - you'd think a dessert place would offer water for a rinse between bites... When the food arrived, the waitress took the cutlery with her instead of giving us ours so we can eat because she's got another table's order with her. She made her way back to us and left us only one fork and walked away without offering or asking if we were sharing the food and need more cutlery. When I walked up to the counter myself to get them, the same girl just looked at me like I wasn't supposed to be there and walked off. Asked for water again and it wasn't easy either because 3 of the staff were standing around chatting when another 2 stood facing away from the whole restaurant. Maybe the tourists and the teenagers can put up with this, but not this local adult with disposable income. I won't be going to any Max Brenner restaurants any time soon. read more

Max Brenner product amazing. Service at this place is garbage. Tables dirty and no staff to clean them. And the staff that are around serving seem like they would rather be cleaning toilets then serving. read more
