The philly sandwich they have is amazing. Melts in your mouth. The store is very well kept too.

I started with the tequila and mezcal Old Fashioned, and it was fantastic. It was well-balanced, beautifully presented, and garnished perfectly. The food was equally impressive. The wings were delicious--crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. My only small note would be that the celery was a little limp. The Caesar salad has officially been added to my regular rotation. The jammy egg was cooked perfectly with a rich, yolky center that was still easy to slice. The Parmesan crisps were thoughtfully sized, adding great texture without being so large they scraped the roof of your mouth. The salad was evenly dressed, making every bite flavorful. Overall, excellent food, outstanding cocktails, and warm, attentive service. I'll definitely be back.

We ate at Baldamar for lunch. It has been a long time since I've been over in Roseville so I was…read moresurprised when we rolled up to find such a large building in the parking lot of the mall. The restaurant itself is really beautiful and it's also very big. I guessed 200 seats plus patio. The space is very elegant, and clearly a lot of attention went into the design. I would describe it as kind of modern steakhouse vibe. Dark wood, faux fur and leather finishes, etc. Elegant. We were seated at a booth by the bar with a big window view of the patio and parking lot. We were immediately slightly offput because the marble ledge separating the booth from the window was dirty - grease and little food crumbs. Not the best first impression. The booth and table were both clean though. Our waitress, Ash, did provide good service but I would say honestly she was a bit too attentive if that makes sense, and she was also too chatty for us. There were several times when she lingered at our table to tell us something we didn't inquire about or to just talk about something. It was a bit annoying honestly. But the service itself was good. We were also visited by a manager during our visit. We each got a mocktail (it was lunch) but they have an impressive drink menu. I got the Red Rose which was really tasty, and my husband got the pineapple drink, which he also said was good. -We ordered the chimichuri shrimp appetizer, which was pretty banging. Four really large shrimp, each on its own piece of bruschetta, doused in chimichuri sauce. Even for me, with a low spice tolerance, it was just the right amount of spice and it was really really good. -We also got a round of oysters. The oysters themselves were fresh - no complaints there. When they were delivered to our table, the person did not tell us which variety was which (pretty standard when serving oysters at any restaurant). Because we eat oysters a lot and one of the varieties was sweet petite, it was fairly easy to tell which was which. But in my opinion, there should have been information given when the oysters were served. The other big issue was the shucking. Some of the oysters hadn't been fully separated from the shell, and we both found ourselves picking bits of shell from our mouths. We actually had a little discussion about the $6 price tag. I felt it was reasonable, my husband felt it was high. But for $6 apiece, the oysters need to be shucked properly and these were not. Ash also made a point to tell us all kinds of information we didn't ask for about their happy hour, which includes $3 oysters. That would be a steal if they learn how to shuck them. -I got the half french dip sandwich, and I was really glad I just ordered the half because what I was served was totally a whole sandwich in my book. The accompanying fries were delicious, crispy, deep golden brown and hot. The au jus served with the sandwich was slightly on the salty side but not terrible. And I do realize it's au jus. In all it was a pretty decent sandwich. -Hubby got the sea bass sandwich, which was also pretty tasty. I'll be honest and say that I think the entree sea bass would have been better. The fish was so good that I don't honestly think you needed the bun. But it was really good and fresh and delicious. We skipped dessert. In all, a pretty solid dining experience and the food was very good. But it was the minor things mentioned that bothered us, so 3 stars with room for improvement upon our return.

I am struggling between rating this 3 vs 4 stars. I will say my real rating is 3.5 stars, but I…read morewill give them 4 since Yelp still doesn't allow half stars. Overall verdict: give them a try. I assume we will be back. We love HuHot and have been disappointed that there's no HuHot anywhere in the Twin Cities. I found this place and thought it would be a good alternative. I was correct! While I wouldn't say it's better than HuHot, they do some things better. Such as gloves when you are picking your items from the buffet, and free chips and salsa (the salsa is awesome). However, I was nervous to come here due to some of the other reviews, and while I don't agree with all of the negative ones, some of them are correct. The free white rice is incredibly mushy and soggy. I didn't really like it. The pasta itself did end up a bit soggy compared to HuHot, but I still enjoyed it. I do wish they had a few more sauce options and recipes. The flavor was pretty good, but I do sort of agree with some other reviews that I wish there was more flavor. I would encourage you to use more sauce than you think. I also agree that the atmosphere feels slightly dirty/old. The whole place could use a very deep cleaning or remodel. I'm also very upset that they are passing the credit card fee on to customers. That actually gives me pause about potentially not going back more than anything else. However, I did enjoy my meal. So I would guess that we will be back. But due to the credit card processing fee, lack of sauces, and a feeling of uncleanliness, we won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Thinking about it, I haven't been here for about 20 years. The last time I was here was when I was…read morein college. It was a nostalgic experience. This place is pretty straight forward. You either choose one bowl ($25) or the unlimited option ($29). Your table will be automatically served wontons crisps and salsa. There are extra menu items you can order beyond the bowl - such as appetizers. You fill the bowl up with as much ingredients you can fit into that sucker and then bring it over to the chefs and they will cook it for you. As I began to fill my bowl, all the memories and techniques I learned came flooding back. Add your protein first. I choose beef and positioned the meat around the outside of my bowl so I could fit more items in it - give that a try. Add in whatever other proteins, veggies, and sauces you'd like and top off with the noodles. I added the dragon sauce to my dish and it was tasty, but I'm warning all my MN locals - beware the dragon sauce. I can handle a little heat, but the two scoops of that sauce had me sweating. I'd definitely go back, but I'd check to find if they have lunch offered at a lesser cost. In a big group, it will get spendy.

The pulled pork is so moist and tender. It's elevated to eye watering deliciousness with the addition of the Hmong Pepper Sauce..that sauce is amazing, and I could see putting it on everything. Even with the rain I said I still wanna check it out! Today they were located in the parking lot of Joe's Sporting Goods. It's hard to miss them given how big their red trailer is, you can clearly see the big grills mounted on the rear. They serve up your traditional BBQ eats but I did notice their Pulled Pork had different flavors which I wished I saw before ordering, definitely trying those out at a different time. But for today I decided on an order of Brisket and Beef Ribs with no sides. The Brisket looked pretty damn well made to me, the smoke rings were clearly visible. Then I took my fork and easily sliced through it like a hot knife through butter. And as I did I could see the lucious meat juices drip off my fork. I couldn't wait to place it into my mouth. Once I did I was in love with it. So so tender and a good smoke flavor to it, not overpowering. As for the Beef Ribs, they were big and flavorful! Easily fall off the bone and amazing juicy! Besides the meat I also got a side of their Spicy BBQ, and I have to say I liked it a lot, probably my new favorite BBQ sauce! I was suprised at the smokey character of the sauce that prevents it from being too sweet. It had enough spice that I could taste the heat but it was nothing no one can handle. I am glad they gave me 3 dipping cups of that BBQ sauce, gladly dip or paint it on any meat I get. This truck is another winner for me and I am so glad to see lots of Hmong food trucks popping up making outrageously good food! Also the owners are friendly and provide good service. Like previously stated I can't wait to give their flavored pulled pork a try!

That's decent food. We went shopping across the road and I think within 15 minutes got a text our table was ready. So that was a pleasant surprise. The ambience was great. The wait staff and others all chipped in to watch the tables. Different people filled our water, brought us more bread, brought out food out when it was ready, picked up our dishes. It was a TEAM effort and it showed. Service was outstanding. My wife ordered the Salmon Sofia. Not sure what that is exactly and I don't care. It's salmon. To me, it's gonna taste bad no matter how great you prepare it but she said she loved it and would definitely get it again. I had the Italian Pasta if I remember correctly. Slightly spicy cajun pasta with sausage, chicken, shrimp, peppers and onions. It was amazing! There was quite a bit of it in the bowl. My wife says, "Wow, that's a lot. You'll have some to take home!" But I'm no quitter. If the food is good, i'm finishing it. And i'm happy to report that i did finish it. It was really good. I did not however get to try the mountain sized carrot cake. I really wanted some of that but I was too full. Oh, the bread. The bread was not warm and it was different than what i thought, but by the time i finished my 7th piece, I really liked it. All in all this was a very nice meal, perfect for a date night.
