They have friendly staff and basic seating - think truck stop padded booths/chairs, advertisements for local businesses on coffee mugs, and bland generic breakfast options. They do have an entire wall of decor dedicated to countrymen who served in the military which is pretty interesting. If you want a standard eggs, meat, (soggy) potatoes, and toast breakfast minus any spices or flavor - this is the place to go. read more

Standard American food, nothing fancy. It's good food at a decent price, but don't show up expecting filet mignon. Wait staff is friendly, if a bit brusque, and wait time for food seemed similar to other places. No seasonings used for my over easy eggs, homemade corned beef hash, and toast. Toast was dripping with butter. My husband got the chuck wagon and no seasonings were used for his scrambled eggs or hashbrowns. Again, the food is good, but it's basic American food. I'm giving 4 stars because the food was cooked properly, it was tasty (if unseasoned), and the prices were reasonable. read more

I absolutely love Maxine's. We used to eat there every weekend morning while I was pregnant. I think they made sure to reserve me the biggest booth for all of me and all of my food. The 24 hr breakfast menu is awesome, and huge portions. I love love the 3 cheese omelet. I have ordered off the regular lunch menu on occasion, enjoy the tortilla style deli meat and cheese wraps. Simple, good, doesn't leave you with that unhealthy bloated feeling. The staff is very nice, it's definitely a Ma and Pa place with that kinda atmosphere. And while I don't drink coffee, my mother in law from Illinois insists we go there every time she visits because she says it's excellent. read more

I was here two days ago and received horrible service, if your not from around this area wouldnt recommend it. I went in with a coworker to pick up an order I placed, I got in line to pay and then two gentlemen that were sitting down got in line behind us. The woman at the register told me to get behind them since they were there first.... Ok.... I complied. As soon as they paid and left I went to pick up my order and the female just left me standing there with my card in the hand and went to wait on a table. When she comes back she took the card handed me my food did not look me once in the eye nor thanked me or anything. I was an awful experience and I am most definitely going to tell me customers to steer clear out of that place. read more
