The Promenade has a medium size food court, IMAX theater, big name stores (JCPenney, Macy's etc.), specialty stores (Miniso, Dick's) and plenty of eateries (Lazy Dog, California Pizza Kitchen, Lucille's BBQ and more). It's also surrounded by tons of other stores and eateries that are not attached to it, it's in the shopping hub of Temecula. Service is pretty good, the staff keep the floors clean and tables whipped. However, the restrooms are awful. I took a star partly for this reason. Note: Extra Parking - A parking structure is adjacent to the IMAX theater if you're looking for somewhere to park and the main parking is full.

I happened to love the vibe and decor here a bit more as it was not all restaurant orientated. However, I didn't have a full charge when we left our house and then we had to pick up our boys at my mother-in-law's house, then bring them to a party in San Dimas, where I was able to find an EVgo charger, then back to my mother-in-law's, then on to San Diego. On the way, I knew I had barely enough to make it, but I'm not one to take a chance. Anyone who drives an EV has experienced range anxiety at some time or another, and our Leaf, which is basically a city car, gives more range anxiety than my cousin's Model S. A quick search on our navigation showed us that this charging station, in Old Town Temecula, wasn't too far off the freeway. We got here with just under 20% charge. Finding the charger was tricky, but not hard. It was in the corner of a busy parking lot. I prefer EVgo since Nissan gives $250.00 of free charging on the EVgo network with every lease or purchase of a new Nissan Leaf. However, there are other, Sema Connect charges there also, but some were taken by ICE cars (I'm talking to you Subaru Outback). It seems that people still don't know how to read two letter EV, even in Temecula... The charger was only one station but with a CHAdeMO and a CCS charger. We waited for about 5 minutes for a 2nd gen Nissan Leaf to finish charging. Interestingly, a Mustang Mach-E was parked next to the Leaf and plugged in. However, the charger only charges one type of output (CHAdeMO OR CCS) at a time. So the Mach-E was basically using the EV space to PRETEND he was charging so he could park there...SMH. When we got hooked up, it was your standard 50kw charging experience. After roughly one hour, we got back up to 96%. HOWEVER, this charger brought us to a wonderful spot for my wife and I to have a light, late afternoon snack and wander around a quaint little spot we will definitely visit again. Thanks to the short range of my Leaf and EVgo for placing a charging station in such a charming location, my wife and I ventured somewhere we wouldn't have normally gone, and we now have a wonderful memory to add to our 10th anniversary weekend. Until gas prices come back down to reality, we will continue to use or Leaf for our road trips, and plan excursions around EVgo chargers. Just keep placing them in quaint spots with good restaurants and bars...
