It's not a good feeling to check the price list, choose a service and then get charge something different on paying. It causes embarrassment, but clearly not on their part. They advised me that the next time I need to take the nails off and let them breathe, rather than getting infills again, which is the first time someone has bothered to tell me. My normal place has blatantly just carried on to get the infills done when they should have advised some time with the nails off. I liked the girls here, shame it is not closer to where I live as I would definitely change salons. The girl I work with goes here as she lives up the road and has been coming here for ages and her nails are always lovely and she never has a bad thing to say about them.

There is a ladies hair salon to the back of the shop and a small nail bar to the front as you enter. Unfortunately, the shop staff can come across as a little hostile and you may get the feeling of being watched or followed, which I think may be due to having a history of shop theft. After dinner we opted to head back to the room and chill and have a good night sleep (both city working mums so our loves are hectic). Went to sleep 10:30 ish and got woken up at 2:30am to the fire alarm. Scared the **** out of me. I ran out bear foot. We left the building but there were no staff anywhere, nonody knew what to do. We were all just standing in the pitch black at the back of the hotel. People suggested moving to the front where there was 1 member of staff. We waited for a bit before being told the alarm had gone off from one of the empty rooms. That was literally it. When we finally got in we made our way back to our room. We couldnt get back to sleep after that and wondered into brekfast absolutely shattered. When I said I need a strong latte after that the man then said there would be a charge. I was like, are you joking, Ive been up most of the night because of the alarm. Nothing. After a ruined night they couldnt even offer a free coffee. We complained at reception but nothing. I then contacted Champneys and got "Thank you, next time you come we will look after you". That was it. We spent a fortune on a spa break only to come home more tired. There were no staff and god forbid if it had been a real fire. No security, nothing and then the cheek to not even offer anything the next day was shocking. The place is not worth the money. I would recommend aqua sana. Pros: Pool indoors is lovely. We enjoyed our evening meal and buffet linch was nice. Nice places to have a coffee. Nice waterfall to look at. Cons: Pedi was £66 and not worth it. Was rushed and the nail varnish looked a mess. Purchased a face wash and scrun set, the facewas I believe is shampoo just in a bottle. The scrub I have no idea what it is but gone in the bin. The outside poor area covered in wasps and flies. I couldnt stand it so went inside. It was dirty and you could see why it would attract insects. The room was bog standard, think travel lodge with a damp/mouldy smell. Very dirty and dusty, with marks on the bedding. No coffer machine in the room. Phoned reception 4 times for shampoo but no answer, finally got through and it took 30 mins for us to get some. Not good when tou are in the shower waiting. Service was awful, my friend had a broken arm (in a cast) and struggled carrying her luggage up and down the stairs, staff just walked past her and no offer to help. Speciality coffee (by this I mean a standard latte) is chargeable at breakfast. We had a facial, states its a 50 min facial but its more like 35/40, see other reviews as well. This is disappointing as if you py for 50 mins you should get 50 mins. Was not an enjoyable stay. They also overcharged on the pedicure. For what you pay you expect a lot more and at the very least good service.

Also, my cuticles were still sore from where the aesthetician cut too deeply. There must be somewhere better and more reasonable to have your nails done in Enfield!
