Updated review: Supervisor gave me a call due to the review I left. I let him know that we were going to give them a couple weeks to see how they do and I could update the review afterwards. Phone call should've ended here as our trash was picked up on time, and they were on their way to making a service failure on the first day right other than marring our grass where they turned around. Supervisor proceeded to say that my review was fictitious about the "office lady" as he called her finding our garbage pile up humourous, and that I was "just trying to trash a local business" with my review. He continued to talk over me and not let me speak, eventually saying that he was going to cancel our contract, refund us, and immediately hung up the phone. Maybins Garbage Service fumbled the ball on day one. We were supposed to receive our bin today and start our contract with them but it never came. I called them to report this service failure and the dispatcher thought it was funny when I mentioned our trash was piling up. I will update this review if they make it right, but we will likely be canceling our contract as other people have mentioned they're unreliable. Another example of you get what you pay for. read more

Just moved into a new house in Laurel Park and Kirby's took away a large pile of packing material that was beyond the capacity of my bin. Driver and workers were very friendly and helpful. read more

Service has been spotty and was missed more than once. Recycle material was spilled from bags repeatedly on our driveway. They complained to us that we set out too many bags of recycling today and when contacted about the spillage they would not consider that we had been out of town and unable to put it out for weeks. It accumulated to exceed their three bag limit. We ended up parting ways with their service. Completely not customer oriented. read more

Get Another trash service. They picked up are trash once in the four weeks we had the service. Their customer service representative might as well have spit in our faces after losing half of our home in Helena. I wish there was a minus star because they're not worth one! read more

Switched to Maybin's in January '22 after our usual person decided to step away from trash removal. The first three months were very consistent. Everything after that has been hit-or-miss. We have had to call multiple times to ask about this. Due to the amount of wildlife in our area it's not feasible to leave garbage out multiple weeks in a row so we will be looking around once our quarter comes to an end. The pricing is more than fair for the number of bags they'll pick up but what good is that deal if they don't show up? In fairness of full disclosure there was a billing issue- while the account is in my name, the card we use to pay utilities has my partner's name on it and we were behind one cycle because their payment person was attempting to attach my name to the card which resulted in it being declined. However, there were no emails, calls, or notes left to let us know we had to correct anything. read more

I hired this crowd on the recommendation of JJs Garbage after they went out of business, and I paid upfront for three months. Maybin's delivered a trash can almost three weeks ago, but they have NEVER come by to pick up my garbage. I got tired of calling them and leaving messages (and they NEVER returned my calls) so I finally had to drive to their place and leave a note to come pick up their garbage can. Then I had to drive to the bank to put a stop-payment on the check, which cost me $35 dollars. My banker said she hired Maybin's after JJs went out of business, and she had the same problem. This company is reliable and always takes every bit of the trash. They started small but now supply the cans and a schedule you can rely on every week. No issues with the service. When we switched to Maybins and contacted them via phone several times, always had quick, courteous service. Highly recommend. read more

I've had this garbage service before and would not recommend them at all. Every time they didn't pick up my trash, which was often, they would say that they have a new driver. The reason I am leaving this particular review though is that they told my handicapped mother that they were dropping her as a customer because they were not making enough money off her, even though they still pick up garbage 150 feet from her up the road. I guess they just do not like the handicapped. If you like being forgotten and want to find a garbage company that cannot put lids back on the cans ,this is your place. If you like reliable service and friendly garbage collectors, this is not the place for you. read more

I had originally posted a five star review a couple of months ago. I had been using them for over six months at that point and had had great, timely service. They answered the phone the majority of the time and the field guys were friendly. Ironically, after posting the review, that's when I seemed to start having problems. It seems like I'm lucky to get through to them if I start calling AT LEAST a week before my payment is due. Sometimes I get so annoyed that I say screw it and tell myself I'm going to drive down there, but how inconvenient. And if I can't get through to them before the date, then I sit there not knowing if they're going to show up but I'm still going to be expected to pay the full amount. And the customer service in general seems to be declining. I never know when they're coming anymore since it's no longer consistent. If I were a new customer, I'd have already switched to a different company and I'd be giving less stars. Since I did previously have a good experience with them, I'm hoping they're just going through staffing issues or something temporarily and I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

Having newly moved to the area, I needed a garbage service. I called/emailed 3 recommended places. I heard nothing back from 1, a email reply from another that simply said "We are not taking any new customers" and the other said they didn't service my area (although the website said they did). I was desperate, googled and started going down the list. I was glad Maybin's answered. She acknowledged that only a couple routes had openings, and I was lucky one was open for me! This was 2 months ago and they have been great ever since! They have never missed and have always left the can neat. They use a coupon book for paying, but I paid ahead so I wouldn't forget. I'm in need of trash service and after another company was a flop I called Maybins. The nice lady on the phone took my information and told me when the 1st pickup would be. Tuesday came and went and my trash never got picked up. When I called she said the driver told her he can't cross the bridge on my street and that everyone takes the trash to Kanuga and they pick it up there. I've never seen anyone leave trash at the end of my street on Kanuga, ever. Plus, there's no bridge on my street, we do have a culvert, but no bridge. I had a 50ton mobile crane drive down the street when I had 2 trees taken down and he didn't fall into any mystery holes. Surely their garbage truck does weight more than a damn 50ton crane! Henderson Oil brings their truck to my house with a 600 gallon tank truck with no issues. I've heard of some weird phobias before but a fear of driving across culverts is a new one. How does the guy actually get anywhere? Even the transfer station has a culvert he has to cross. Does someone else have to drive across every culvert in the road? That seems inefficient! Someone was suppose to get back to me but never heard another word from the "manager". In my experience don't waste your time calling here, unless you just want to talk to a nice lady. read more

Have been using Maybin now for about a year and a half. Always come at the same time and never leave any fallen trash on the street. The drivers are always friendly and courteous. All of our neighbors use Mabin as well. I have never heard a complaint. read more
