Laura and the entire team at Mayfield Events were absolutely perfect for us and our wedding! We could not of asked for a better team to support us during the planning process and on our wedding day! I knew from the beginning that we needed a planner...so I lined up 6 meetings with different planners (that I found through Wedding Wire). My mom, husband and I went to all 6 meetings in the span of a few days. We walked out of the meeting with Laura and all agreed immediately that she was the one! From the beginning she was easy to work with, we instantly trusted her and we're excited to make our visions come to light with her. There were several things that I was very particular on and needed help making my vision come to light and the team always accommodated me and went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable with everything. I played phone tag with two unprofessional adults. It was for my husband's recovery from cancer we were trying to set up as a surprise but it turns out DJs are just overrated. Laura and Jason are top notch professionals. They went over and above to give us highly effective lighting for Mayfest. Our theme and decorations required an entire ballroom periphery to be up-lit, as well as outdoor columns in the entry area. An additional bonus: they provided 10 ft Pipe and Drape for the stage that was saturated and up-lit for a great effect. No vendor in Wichita Falls, but Mayfield, has a 10 ft Pipe and Drape pipe and drape. Lighting for this event was integral and they delivered and surpassed all expectations. They even made a few extra phone calls to the WFCC to arrange a date/time for equipment drop off. Don't know how they do it, but they actually had a wedding on the same night. They were very "up front" at our initial meeting, assuring it would not pose any problem - check, and double check...absolutely perfect execution. I should mention that this husband/wife team are both educators. Mayfield Events is a "moonlighting" business that provides a supplemental income. They are based in Wichita Falls but their service extends miles in every direction, (including the DFW metroplex, Oklahoma, East and West). This duo has very little "down time" with their darling young girls, but they balance it all, beautifully. No vendor will work harder to please - they surpassed all expectations at a reasonable price. Thank you Laura and Jason! I love these two, you will too! read more

Incredible, amazing, perfect. We could go on and on, but the bottom line is this: Mayfield Events were the ones who made the day not only stressless (didn't know that was possible at a wedding), but also the most beautiful and fun night of our lives. Laura was there along the way for us, from the beginning of the planning to the closing of our wedding. She took what we wanted and used our ideas. She never tried to change anything unless it benefited us. It was obvious that she's an expert in weddings, and she knows how to make them fantastic. She used that expertise to ensure that our ceremony not only went smoothly, but also had memorable moments to it (dip kiss with confetti/streamer cannon on the exit). In the reception, she went out of her way to make we were comfortable and ready for our grand entrance. She saw that we were struggling with the wedding dress bustle, and rushed over to save the day. The sequence of events in the reception was something we hadn't thought of, but it was absolutely perfect. Without her expertise, we would have never thought of it, and our reception wouldn't have been so smooth. The first "Dance on the Cloud" is something both of us will never forget (get it, it's totally worth it). Many of our friends who had already been married complained that during their own reception, they never ate due to the endless receiving line/talking. Well, Mrs. Mayfield personally brought us each a plate of our pre-chosen liking, and made sure we got to eat the food we paid for. And of course she brought us some of our signature drinks. The DJ'ing: unbelievable. It's easy to tell when there's a mediocre DJ at the helm. A decent DJ would have people dancing a good amount of the time, but not all the time. Not the case... not at all. The dance floor was occupied 100% of the time by both old and young. It was the perfect mix of upbeat and some slow music. Something you might not notice until you stop to think about it is the lighting with music. When we were at the bar looking out onto the packed dance floor, we suddenly realized how awesome the venue looked with the coordinating light and color flashes that they were putting on. The Mayfields are truly amazing DJ's. The photo booth service was awesome too! Right now we're looking at the collage of our guests photos and their personal notes to us... much cooler than a formal guest book. We could go on and on about the great things that the Mayfields did to make our night special, but we both agree on this: it was their personal touch that made it the best night of our lives. The genuine care for our happiness almost (does) bring us to tears when we think about it. Whatever you think about wedding planners, I will say this, the Mayfields are beyond worth it. Mayfield Events were absolutely fantastic! They provided sound equipment for our ceremony so our guests could hear our vows and provided music at our reception. They kept us on time and had our guests dancing all night! Their lighting was also fantastic and changed with the music giving it a great effect. Laura and Mayfield events are wonderful! They went above and beyond my expectations and I couldn't be happier! The weather ended up being icy and snowy but it went off without a hitch thanks to them! Mayfield provided day of coordination, dj, hosting, lighting and the photo booth (which was a hit!). My venue was completely DIY and if I didn't have Laura and her team I don't know what I would've done! Communication was fantastic often checking in with me as time got closer. Mayfield Events was great to work with! Our wedding planner was Judy, who works with Mayfield Events. She was with us every step of the way and our wedding would not have been the perfect day that it was without her! We also rented generators, wine barrels with bar top and bistro lighting and had all of our florals done by Mayfield Events. I LOVED our bistro lighting in our tent! It turned out exactly like I wanted. Their crew set everything up and tore everything down in a very timely manner. Shelby did a fabulous job on the flowers! She was great at emailing back and forth with me pictures and ideas until she knew exactly what I wanted. read more

Laura and Jason were FANTASTIC! They did a wonderful job of having two audio set-ups for my wedding and being flexible with our timeline. They both made sure we got drinks and food before the guests did, so we could mingle through dinner and cake.
