Last time I needed services like this, we paid contractors through the retailers we had purchased from. His pricing is competitive, he was easier to schedule, and he did a MUCH better job. He is a perfectionist -- he worked very hard to make sure everything was done just right. Though I tried to offer him the "easy way out" on a couple small tasks to keep things simple, he gently insisted on going the extra mile to make sure it was all completed exactly as it should be. I had expected a day of trying to work through a lot of noise and distractions but he worked so quietly and was extremely respectful and professional. I would not hesitate to call him again for more work.
