Bottom line: classy hotel that is worth your business! Truly a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Seattle. Customer Service: top notch and very friendly. From the valet to check-in to room service, everything with regards to customer service was spot on. The people that work here truly want to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. When we were short on amenities, that were quick to provide them.. free of charge. Bar (Olives): it's not a bad place for an adult beverage but it is only for 21-year and above. This is a reprieve haven for most adults with or without children but also can be a logistical constraint when looking for venues to dine-in with a family... especially given the COVID constraints. While this restriction is totally understandable, I wish they outline some hours to be more accommodating. Im sure when the attached restaurant: Andalucca is open, it will not be an issue. Location: 5-minute walk to the Market and within minutes to the Monorail that will take you all the way to the space needle. You can't beat the convenience of the location with the price they are asking for. Although, Macy's is now out of business, there are plenty of other shopping venues you can patron when staying here. My boo and I stayed at the Mayflower for a quick weekend getaway in Seattle. The location was absolutely perfect. Walking distance to Pike Place and right next door to the monorail and light rail. Inside the hotel was a restaurant which was open with social distancing in place, but we didn't end up trying it. Our room was nice and had a decent view. No need to rent a car - you're a 5 minute walk to subway, tram and monorail and a 10 minute walk to Pike Place Market. Just returned from a three night stay at the Mayflower. First trip to Seattle. Overall, very happy with the hotel. Got some sort of stay two night and get a discount on the third night discount. Still came to an average of around $300 per night plus tax. Just under $1000 with tax total. More than I normally spend but the super convenient location and friendly helpful staff made up for the price. Robert, at check in, took his time to explain everything to us. I appreciated that. Let's talk super location for tourists without a car. This hotel is a very short walk (2 minutes) to both the monorail (5 minute direct ride to Seattle Center which includes Space Needle and some museums) and the light rail station (35 minute ride to and from the SEA/TAC Airport). It is also less than a 1 mile walk to the tourist trap- Pike Place Market, although a bit sketchy of a walk with the homeless and other unsavory characters on the street (no fault of the hotel. It is downtown.) The hotel is also just about a mile walk to pier 52, to catch the public ferry. The hotel was built in the 20s and maintains the charm. Staff were very helpful and kind. Room was comfy & quiet. The small fridge and individual cup coffee maker with Starbucks pods was a nice touch. Surprised to hear no standard daily maid service. Still due to covid? Not sure. I think that is stretching it to save money. Anyhow, we called to replenish supplies as needed and they did arrive quickly. I noticed some signs of repair needed on the carpet and some mold in the shower but willing to overlook based on all the other positives the hotel offered. We tried the breakfast restaurant, Andaluca, inside the hotel. It was charming and delicious. Again, this place has convenience all wrapped up! After a night in town, it was welcoming to enjoy a cocktail and bite in the quiet hotel bar, Oliver's. Staff there were on point and professional. The soap they used also smelled amazing! The water pressure was good and very hot. Prior to our stay, I had several email interactions with Executive Asst. Ching Lau, who provided lots of help to my numerous questions about the hotel and local area. We arrived from the ship early and hoping to drop our luggage-we were in luck, there was a room open! Only downside, it faced a wall. But hey, we were in Seattle to play, not sit in the room and it would be quiet. The room was clean and nicely appointed-I especially liked the cozy robe which I snuggled in post-walking all over Seattle. The staff, from the bellhops to front desk was friendly and helpful-there is no concierge, but all of these folks are knowledgeable and pointed in where we needed to go. Close to Pike Market and also the monorail which was fun to ride to the Space Needle complex. Note: we felt safe during the day, but were told to be in by dark or at least not walk around (take a taxi) as the less than salubrious folks are about then. This is a classic old hotel. The lobby feels like the real deal. Classic comes with caveats. The rooms are small. The bathrooms are teeny. The evaluators only hold 4 people max. All worth it to me. But... The ADA room we asked for was not held for us so I cannot speak to what that looks like but the very helpful woman at the front desk moved us to a room wit a step in shower so that mostly worked for me. If you are in a wheelchair you can NOT use this room. No clearance anywhere. I had to fold my walker to get by the bed. But if you can make it work the beds are comfy. Room was clean and well stocked. And it was very quiet. All of the staff was friendly and super helpful. The valets went out of their way to help us find the access doors You cannot beat the location. Shopping, eating, monorail, light rail. Nordstrom!! We will be back. read more

This is a very nice hotel and overall, we had a great experience. Clean , quiet , with friendly service. I'm a relatively trashy person with minimal fancy hotel experience. We came here during an impromptu road trip and didn't have real luggage, just gym bags and junk thrown in the car. The only parking available here is valet. That's fine , but we had no access to our car during our stay. If we needed something from the car, our only options were to send the valet to get it or ask them to bring the car around. Maybe this is totally normal, but it was inconvenient since I was not prepared. read more

I LOVE the Mayflower and always will... however after staying elsewhere in Seattle it is no longer my go-to spot. I need to expand my horizons, and while the Mayflower offers a nostalgic holiday feel... I think from now on unless I am coming for our annual Godmother Weekend, I will be staying elsewhere. I do love the suites and larger rooms, and even the single queen was perf for my hubs and I on NYE (no view of the needle but still a great view and fun to be at). As always the staff are super friendly and the building itself, while old and outdated, is just cozy. I do love the two dining options located right downstairs... and the location is great. It was fun for my hubs to experience this hotel for the first time.... My suggestion is for the ventilation... I don't know why but each time I stay here I get really stuffed up and don't feel well. My husband and I stayed at The Mayflower Hotel for five days and it was amazing! The price is great and the location is ideal! We took a taxi to and from the airport, which is a flat-fee of $40 (posted on taxi window). The rate is $10-$15 cheaper than Uber or Lyft, excluding tip. MAKE SURE YOU MENTION THE $40 PRICE TO THE TAXI DRIVER, otherwise you'll get conned into paying a higher fee. I speak from experience. If you're driving into the city with a vehicle, The Mayflower charges $40+ tax a day for 24 hour valet. I did notice a couple of public garages near by. Checking in and out of the hotel was a breeze! As of early March 2022, you were still required to show proof of vaccination before checking-in. All of the staff members are extremely pleasant and friendly. Shout out to Tim at the front desk-- you're awesome! In regards to safety, we felt safe during the day and relatively safe at night. There are a lot of homeless people, but we didn't have any issues. You need a KEY FOB to enter the hotel and to ride up or down the elevator, which is nice. Room #1121. The rooms are dated, but everything is well stocked and CLEAN. There's a mini fridge, coffee machine, coffee/tea/2 water bottles are replenished from house keeping daily, vanity area with stool outside of the bathroom to get ready and 2 TVs. Let's talk about the wall outlets that are lined all around the hotel floor trim-- THERE ARE SO MANY. Super convenient! The bed was comfortable and the walls aren't paper thin. I cannot recommend The Mayflower Hotel enough. I'll definitely book here again in the future. read more

Anniversary trip to Seattle. We both had never been here before. Worked with their food and beverage manager to have champagne waiting in the room when we checked in. Not only did they have it ready when we checked in, but a handwritten anniversary card from the staff waiting for us. Its been a terrible two years for us as we both work at a hospital and the pandemic has taken a toll on us personally and professionally. I cant thank the staff at Mayflower enough for helping us take care of ourselves for a change. We have only been here a few hours and we love them already. The room is beautiful. We were in town & had to stay here. From our very first stay. We knew that this was THE hotel when we're in town. You definitely have to book way in advance, because it fills up quick. We were lucky enough that there was 1 room available with our short notice. It wasn't the same room, but a single queen size bed. Room was definitely smaller, and it didn't have a desk. As soon as we walked in it had a moldy smell. The AC hadn't been running in this room for a while it seemed. I'm knocking stars down for the first initial smell it had, and also when I was starting the water in the tub for a shower the water didn't get hot. I ran it for 3 mins and still cold water. Maintenance came up shortly after we made the call and he fixed it right away.... Y'all, the handle had to be on Cold side for Hot water. What in the world!! We asked for an additional 3 pillows and they only gave Apparently they were short on them. We did order the usual cheeseburger with fries. It's always delicious. While checking out the previous person who called maintenance for us about the water issue didn't make a note stating our issue. So the front desk person wasn't aware of it, and we didn't receive an apology. read more

First off, lobby, bar, restaurant are top notch (elevators little slow and only 2), Oliver's is fantastic as is Andalucas (awesome breakfast) Service is very good as you would expect. Problem was my room was not what you would expect...big water stain on lamp shade, ottoman starting to rip on corner, shower faucet let's just say was wonkey, now all minor but when added with the biggest problem...a college dorm fridge, sitting on the floor with the cheapest coffee maker on top and motel type condiments (this set up belonged in a motel) How bout putting the fridge in a piece of furniture and with at least a keruig, again for price that should be the minimum...room was nice size, clean. Fantastic location, 5 minute walk to Pikes Market, 15 minute walk to space needle, monorail and light train 1 minute around corner. Overall I do recommend but wish they would treat room like the lobby. read more

If you have a lot of money the location is ideal...but more than 300 bucks a night is ridiculous. We stayed in 3 hotels this trip, deciding to splurge on the last night or 2. Got in late and didn't get the admonition that you had to ask for the room to be cleaned. No notice on the back of the door to let you know if you are not notified. We got back from a long day to an unmade bed and dirty wine glasses. Had to ask for that service and went out for a while while that was taken care of. I understand not washing sheets and towels...but not making the bed? At 300 a night? Other things...there is no hook or towel rack for hand towels. Had to hang it on the arm for the mirror. Only one small glass shelf for toiletries and it slanted so that things rolled off. And while the sink was majestic, there was a cheap plastic toilet seat lid. Don't get the cheaping out on this sort of thing. One more thing. The in-room coffee pot had little individual plastic trays of packaged grounds for each cup of coffee. Talk about waste. Find a better option. We stayed at a hotel in Belltown the first 3 nights at half the price. Certainly not the same lobby and history as Mayflower. But the location was fine and the bed comfortable. Roof top deck was nice perk. And in Victoria we stayed in a huge room with full hot breakfast for half of the Mayflower. The nice lobby was simply not enough to get me back to the Mayflower. read more

You can walk to much of Seattle and the staff are so nice!However, the walls are so thin I was woken up at 5am by our neighbors and could hear every part of their conversation so just be warned. We loved our stay! The location is fantastic and convenient to transportation. We took the light rail from SeaTac to Westlake Station for $3/per person and the station is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The room was nice and had a nice seating area in the deluxe queen. The only downside is that the beds are a little firm. Also, the queen is not quite a queen, which is normally 60" wide. It's closer to maybe 53" wide. I think we will book a king next time. read more

So pleased to find the mayflower open on a recent trip to Seattle. It's a favorite and even with the pandemic restrictions still a gracious place to stay. It's super clean, super cozy- Oliver's is open ' restaurant anduluca isn't (yet) but soon. The staff is uniformly pleasant and helpful. And it's pretty centrally located to downtown treats. Valet parking is a must have and the daily rates have in and out service. The service is quick and the staff is also just great. Love this place and, at this moment the rates are shocking low- ie cheap. We had a great time. Should mention that right across the street is a high-end woman's consignment shop and Eileen Fisher is far too close. So skip Nordstrom and try out these two places. Overall it is a quaint hotel but I could only give 3 stars due to inadequate cleanliness of the bathroom ( mold on the shower tiles) and lack of action/ follow up by the management. We told the front desk to have the mold removed on the very first day of our 4 day stay. Nothing was done in spite of daily requests made. We stayed from June 23rd to June 29th 2022. Perfect distance to Pike Market, the piers and other fun attractions within walking distance. The monorail and link transport is right around the corner. We can't say enough great things about the Valet team. Each and everyone was ver personable and helpful! The room was quaint and clean. I came in early morning after my flight. They were able to hold my luggage so I could sight-see until checking in later that afternoon. Everyone from the start was very polite & friendly- perhaps the best service I've ever received staying at a hotel. The room was fine. My only complaint is the thin walls (but the hotel is 90+ years old so I wasn't surprised). I could hear the dude next door snoring, as if he was right next to me! Luckily after turning on my AC that drowned him out pretty good and I was able to sleep the whole night. read more

If you are visiting Seattle for sightseeing, this hotel is a great choice. Here are some of the reasons. LOCATION Mayflower Park Hotel is adjacent to Westlake Center (a shopping mall). From Westlake Center, it's a short non-stop monorail ride to the Seattle Center: the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, EMP Museum and many more! Pike Place Market is also a short walk (several blocks away) from the hotel. If you like to shop, the Nordstrom downtown store is on the next block! If you are too tired to go out, there is a restaurant (Andaluca) and a bar on site; their room service is also available 24 hours! THE HOTEL It's an old hotel, built in 1927. I usually prefer a newer boutique hotel (in the US), but I enjoyed the elegant ambience of the Mayflower Park Hotel. The decor was felt classic rather than dated. I have stayed at several hotels in downtown Seattle, but their room was one of the most specious ones with a specious bathroom. Our room came with a separate sitting area with a sofa. The staff were all professional and friendly. They have a concierge desk.We asked about a breakfast place, and she was very friendly and helpful. Their checkout time is 12:00 noon, which is very generous. We checked out at 10am, had the luggage stored downstairs and picked up the car later that day without having to pay extra parking fee. PARKING The flip side of a convenient downtown location is expensive parking. Their valet parking is $35 plus tax per night (as of writing of this review). It's not the highest in downtown Seattle, but it is on the higher end. If you're visiting from out of town, driving in downtown Seattle can be stressful with all the oneway streets, transit only signs, no left turn between x and y, etc. So, maybe it's worth it. OVERALL It is presumably a 3-star hotel, but it felt like a solid 4-star hotel to me. I am completely satisfied and happy with my experience at Mayflower Park Hotel, and I will definitely stay here again. One minor annoyance They do not have a service elevator, and everybody shares the only two elevators that they have. Their employers are well trained and yield to the guests, but the elevators can be very crowded and slow in the morning. For anyone visiting a town or city for the first time, you want to be around somewhere you remember, and friendly faces. Mayflower Park Hotel had it in spades. Booking our trip on Orbitz, I noticed all the 4 and 5-star reviews for this hotel. Plus it touted being very convenient for downtown Seattle for tourists and first time visitors. Works for me! It was so much easier to get to this hotel than you know! It literally is a hop, skip, and a jump from the SeaTac Airport. Mayflower even includes instructions on their website of how to commute from the Light Link Rail at the airport to the hotel. The Mayflower is literally right outside the front doors of the Light Link Rail. It is no more than half a block away which makes it real easy. We didn't have to rent a car, taking the Light Link Rail from the airport straight to our hotel saved us time, hassle, and money! What a blessing. After a 35 minute trip on the rail we were at their front door. The Mayflower is definitely a historic hotel and it shows. The decor and everything screams old school charm. Your Lolo and Lola would have loved this kind of place, and I can imagine a fellow like Howard Hughes drinking a whiskey in the lobby bar. It has been recently renovated but luckily it's kept all of the charm. The lobby staff was very friendly at check in, asking us if this is our first time staying at the Mayflower, and since we were tourists if we would like a complimentary map. Staff even gave us clear and easy directions on how to get to Pike Place Market in a snap (it was literally a 5 minute walk from the hotel). Liking it already. Our room was high up on the 14th floor, and we were given a nice room with a view. Now, the room is on the small side, and there's nothing too fancy about it, but the history of it all was evident. We did have a flat screen TV, a comfy chair, and a nice warm, clean bed to come back to every night. One plus, our room had a TON of sockets for plugging in your charger, the iron, whatever. There is no fridge with the room, but a phone call to housekeeping will get you a dorm sized one in a jiffy. Don't forget to tip! My only complaint (if it really is one) of our room was the tiny bathroom. I'm a big guy and naturally I like big bathrooms where I can spread out. But the bathroom at Mayflower? Tiny! Seems like it's meant for folks a foot shorter than I am! Our toilet was literally so close to the wall I couldn't make my famous 'Thinking Man' pose when I'm sitting on the loo! I really couldn't open my legs more than an inch or two. Plus, the toilet seat itself is not the extended seat type. Bit on the standard size. The shower? The shower head was so low at it's highest point it was hitting me in my neck! Ha Ha Ha. But even with these minor annoyances the bathroom was clean, and the era charm of the hotel as a whole kept me smitten. Another plus? The Mayflower is directly connected to the Westlake Center (a shopping center of sorts), which had easy access to a food court, and the monorail that goes directly to the Space Needle! It was so convenient for us, I couldn't be more grateful. It took a load of pressure off us being first time visitors to Seattle and all. All we had to do to make our touristy run to the Space Needle was go down to the hotel lobby, go up a flight of stairs, make a right, make a left, then make one more right to go up the Westlake Center escalator to reach the monorail. Kudos for this. For the wifey and I, this was the best possible place for us to stay on our first trip to Seattle. Easy Light Link Rail ride from SeaTac Airport to downtown, short walk to the hotel, short walk from the hotel to attractions like the Pike Place Market, and super convenient access to the monorail to the Space Needle. Beautiful and clean hotel. Conveniently located across the street from Macy's. A short walk to Pikes market place. Located near shopping malls and easily accessible to the light rail or the shuttle to the Space needle. I stayed here with my 4 year old and we had no car or a stroller. We walked everywhere! And we took the shuttle or the light rail. Room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a nice size shower/ bath combo. The only complaint is that bathroom was right next to the door, a little hard to navigate opening and closing. They provide shampoo conditioner and lotion. Plenty of wall Outlets to power up the device or phones. I loved that the TV swivel from the couch to the bed. I can be lazy on the couch or watch from the end. The housekeeper ( sorry I never got her name) a real sweetheart, always welcoming and pleasant. She remembered my son's name and would greet him daily. Encourage for us to bundle up and ask about our day. She truly made this stay a memorable one! I would definitely come back and stay here. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights while attending the Rolling Stones Concert. Its location is close to wonderful shopping, the Market, and great restaurants. Loved the old world charm! But, a strange thing happened, one we have never experienced before. After passing on housecleaning our first full day there, our room was not attended to the next day either. They seemed to have missed us entirely. After realizing the bed was unmade and no new towels were given after being gone most of the morning until mid afternoon, I phoned the front desk letting them know the situation. I was instructed to let them know when we were headed out again so housekeeping could attend to the room. No time was mentioned. When we left for dinner, I was told cleaning staff had gone home. I explained we just needed some clean towels and new sheets for the bed( they say sheets are changed every second day). Assuming that our bed would have been changed and made up upon our return, we discovered new towels on a chair and beside them, fresh sheets. They assumed we would change the sheets! I wouldn't have asked for them had I known that was their solution to the problem of not having our room serviced. Sorry, but no, I won't change sheets myself while paying for a hotel room. Someone should have informed us before cleaning staff left ( or, the very least, give us a final time they could come to the room) so they could help us out before going home. read more

Journey: A friend and I decided to hop on a plane to see a concert, so I booked us a flight/hotel combo and after much deliberation we chose the Mayflower. We flew in early (to take advantage of having a great breakfast) so, needless to say, we got to the hotel mega early. We stated that we know that we're "early for check-in, but could you store our bags for us?" The friendly concierge replied "I can do better than that. How about a room?" BONUS!! We never expected to get a room at 9am on a Saturday! Specs: This hotel has kept the classic feel of what an older hotel should resonate, but yet they "sneak" in modern conveniences, like free wifi. Our room had a spectacular view of the city. Even glimpses of the Space Needle could be seen at certain angles. I doubt there's a bad view in any room of this place. The room was spotless, the bath was fully stocked with fluffy towels, not those thin ones, the size of a hand towel that act more like a tissue than towel. Then there's the bed, Oh Lordy, the bed was fantastic! Sheets were extremely soft, the bed itself was like being surrounded by thousands of baby ducks. It was so comfortable that it was extremely hard leaving it the next day. Location: The Mayflower is perfect for any downtown perusing that one is in the mood for. Love this historic hotel and the history behind it. I reserved a deluxe king and was surprised when we were given a corner room. That was exciting! Unfortunately the tv did not work in the room. We called the front desk and we're told he'd send someone up. An hour later and the someone shows up, barely speaks to us, and says he'll be back. Another hour goes by and no one shows up. My husband calls down to the front desk and is told the maintenance guy left over an hour ago and had to request a room change, one was not offered. We finally switched to the room next door. The area around the hotel has changed drastically in the past 10 years and although it's close to Pike Market, I'm not sure we'll be visiting again. When we arrived to our room at 7 pm we had already checked in at 3:15 pm and went to a tour that was scheduled. At 7 pm upon arriving to the room... the heat was completely off. It took 3 plus hours to get the old hotel room warmed. My roommate went to bed very cold. Who does that when a hotel guest is expected? That took many hours to correct!! This hotel needs management leadership. The hotel workers used the only 2 tiny guest elevators. This morning I waited a long time and got on the elevator with hardly any room because a housekeeper had a huge hamper! Housekeepers were waiting for the elevators alongside the guests. I have never seen a hotel allow the housekeepers to use the guest elevators. I thought I was never going to get to the lobby. read more

Beautiful and historic hotel in downtown Seattle. Andaluca is delicious for breakfast or dinner- try the Turkish apricot waffle!

Boyfriend and I stayed over for the night Sunday. Great area. Beautiful hotel. Great staff. One thing I would like to mention though, is how well do the cleaning staff clean the rooms? Finding lube drips all over was a bit of a let down and quite honestly disgusting. read more

All around amazing hotel. I always love the historic hotels, but usually they are old and in disarray. That is not the case with the Mayflower. We had the King Suite, which had TWO full size bathrooms, comfortable beds and everything worked. Plus the room was very quiet for New Years eve. Definitely be back. Oliver's had great food and even better drinks. Lastly the location is perfect and makes walking around enjoyable. Love this place, definitely one of my new favorite hotels in Seattle. read more
