No one explained where anything was or directed us to things. Pricing in my opinion is a bit high especially for the very few things to do there. They have a nice corn maze but, it's not for their ages really. The attractions they have there are very outdated and for the price they charge they could use it to do a few upgrades. It's been over 9 years since I've been there and it's definitely gone down hill from then and uphill on that cost. Though have to say their restrooms outside were more up to date than the environment there for sure. If I was pricing things I would have it as follows Adults ages 13 and up $15 Ages 5-12 $8-10 and 3-5 $5 and 3 and under Free. That's just my opinion for the attractions. But as you see in pictures I have sign of pricing from there. And last note we had to put our own wristbands on so we could've just walked in and said we lost them in maze if we wanted to do that but we didn't but that shows how much the people pay attention at the point of entrance. And as for a petting zoo there that's a few ducks and one goat. And no food to feed them as those machines had a post it note on it stating "Out of Order!" So, to say we will be back is more towards the NO unless they were to update things and that's update it a lot.

Wendy usually is in the store offering speciality lavendar items - today it was delicious chocolate. You can also purchase ice cream, cookies, tea and other lavender-related items. One of our favorite things from Hope Hill are the "Hope" bracelets we have worn everyday for the past several years. Highly recommend visiting the farm and spending a few hours. The smell of the lavender and gentle buzzing from the industrious bees in warmer weather is an experience not to be missed.

The products in the gift shop never disappoint, especially the lavender dark chocolate and the lavender brownie which was incredible. I've also purchased products online including the lip balm, the cookbook, culinary lavender, the bloom tea, the hope tea and the lavender hand soap. I've taken the farm tour and recently a culinary lavender class to determine a preference for English or French lavender. Both of these events were wonderful experiences. If you don't live near the farm, I highly recommend that you check out the products they offer online, but please don't purchase ALL of the lavender dark chocolate.

Unfortunately, as soon as we pulled into the parking lot it began to POUR rain. We waited it out in the car for a while, like 20 minutes, but it didn't seem to be stopping, so we attempted to leave, but because so many other people were leaving traffic came to a standstill and it took us 10 minutes just to get to the end of the parking row -- which was kind of a blessing because the sun came out more and we decided to stay and chance it. There seems to be only one entrance and like 1-2 exits which kind of seems like a safety concern. Admission is a bit pricey - about $23 per person on the weekends if you don't buy online. I guess it's a good price if you enjoy mostly everything, but for that you'll need time. We grabbed a snack. There are a lot of food places - BBQ, grilled cheese, pizza etc. I actually thought the prices were pretty decent and the food was high quality for the price. We split a gourmet grilled cheese which was melty and tasty, and got a honey lavender cider which was absolutely delightful. We did the wagon ride out to the tulip fields. You can pay to pick your own but we just admired them. There are a lot of colors and different varieties, and cute photo ops all around. There was a scenic train ride that went through the fields. There were also a bunch of carnival rides, which we didn't go on. I read that there was axe throwing but we missed that. There was live music in the food area as well. They have some other fun things like giant bubble blowing stations, lots of snack stops, a retail space with gourmet goodies. Our second big thing was going to the petting barn, psyched about the "baby animal" experience. This consists of baby chicks and ducks. If you want to get up close and hold them you have to wait in a long line - we were waiting like half an hour to hold a duck for like 30 seconds. It was very cute and wholesome but honestly I wouldn't do that again. The chicks were unfortunately too young so we could only pet them, not hold them. It was a little underwhelming and I've seen other farms do baby animal days with much more variety. There were some other animals (that you could get up close to more immediately) like pigs, alpacas, goats, and highland cows -- some of which had cute babies. I don't think anything besides the flowers was open for u-pick, but I believe you have to pay extra for that anyway? This place is huge and very popular but I did get the sense that for the amount of people it draws, there are limited things to do. Granted, it was a holiday and a weekend, so I'm sure that contributed to the crowds. But also a TON of people left during the rain storm and we still were waiting in some pretty long lines so I can't even imagine how it would be if it was sunny. Overall this place is cute and I think everything is top quality, but ultimately I think it caters more towards families who have time and money to kill. It's probably a good deal if you live close and get a seasonal pass and come multiple times a year for all the different festivals- I do like that they have different things going on at all times. I wouldn't turn anyone away if that was their thing and I'd recommend it to a certain type of person -- but this is probably a once and done or once in a blue moon type place for me.

There was a petting zoo, red express train, carsol ride, bags for picking apples and much more. You are also encouraged to ask many questions from the staff and it is great to hear about all the details of everything. There are several farm buildings to visit which you also get to tour, and many animals who you also might get to pet. The farm store is also amazing, selling many interesting items and some crafts from the local artists which are not over priced. It's now owned by a historical society and largely volunteer run. This is the kind of place that several generations of locals come to volunteer. If I lived nearby, I'd gladly volunteer and would love to lead a tour:-) The farm is quaint, cozy and affordable. It was $12 for adults for their 1.5 hour+ tour and Christmas presentation. $6 for children under 12. The crackling fire wood, the wet leaves crunching under your feet, and the friendly, welcome of the volunteers, who are excellent and clearly love this place, all made my experience five star. This historic farm is two hours from NYC, but worlds away, in a good way. I did a day trip but nearby affordable hotels abound. At the end of the tour, we were lead to their dining room, with a choice of hot cocoa or hot apple cider and two surprise (mine were snickerdoodle and molasses) cookies or a homemade Bavarian style pretzel. Free parking and I learned about the events they offer including farm to table in the summer and spooky nights during Halloween, to name a few. They cook with all the vegetables they grow and serve them at an outdoor meal. Check them out with your friends and family. You'll be glad you did.
