After seeing the many positive reviews for this company, I was disappointed to have such a poor…read moreexperience with Travis. I had an old cedar chest that needed to be restored as a toy box for my children. He delivers it to my new apartment, and honestly, i didn't feel the need to completely inspect the work because this company had such a good reputation based on the google reviews. I was initially concerned with having mechanical arms put on because of the possibility of the lid falling on the kids heads. He told me no worries and that if I tighten the screws in the mechanical arms that it would hold the lid on open position. Less than two weeks of having the finished product, I come home to the lid closed and the arm crushed (see attached image). In addition. The hinge on the opposite side of the chest was loose (and would wiggle around when I open and close the lid), and a piece of wood used to patch a small space in the lid was also very loose. I reach out to Travis to resolve the issues and he responded with the attached email, stating that it is not his fault the poor quality arm (that he selected to put on the chest) crushed under the weight of the lid, said i should reach out to the manufacturer of the mechanical arm that he bought and then proceeded to accuse me of purposely breaking the arm. He then says that my statement of "the craftsmanship being poor quality (which is completely true by the way) was an insult to his company and he would not make the repair. Buyer beware, this company does not practice good business in my experience. One word of advice if you decide to work with Travis is to have the work being done clearly stated in writing (whether via email or receipt) and also thoroughly inspect the work done prior to his departure at drop off- because he certainly won't make it right afterwards. UPDATE: Buyer beware - as soon as I wrote this review, over 10 five star reviews were added to google. Either he is adding the reviews himself or having friends write reviews.
