On my trip to Wiesbaden, Germany, after having lunch, I stopped by at this gelateria for dessert. The location of this gelateria is in the city center near some of the prime sight seeing attractions. When I got here, there was a line out the door. It was a busy and happening shop. The line was moving quickly.
Originally from Italy, this gelateria is a family-owned, small local business that has been around since 1938. They make delicious, creamy, and flavorful gelato and sorbetto based on their family traditions. On my visit, I ordered three flavors in a cup that included Pastiera Napoletana w/ ricotta, Fior di Fragola (Erdbeer (strawberry) & Mascarpone), and Himbeer (red raspberry sorbetto).
The scoops were of generation portion compared to their cost. The pricing of scoops was reasonable. The gelato and sorbetto were good in flavor and texture. I enjoyed them. I liked all the three flavors. My favorites were the Pastiera Napoletana and Himbeer. The sorbetto was refreshing. It had a tart, palate cleansing flavor.
I received good, friendly service. The gelato menu wasn't big but good enough with tasty flavors. They also serve coffee and cappuccino. Check out Mazzucco when in Wiesbaden. read more
