Dru Photography had a booth set up at the St Patrick's Day festival at La Villita and his booth was great. It was even free! He had so many fun props and accessories to use for the occasion. He had the signs, glasses, hats, boas, he had it all. We honestly could have used a lot more I just didn't want to take up any more time because we took a few different shots. He didn't rush us through the pictures. The sun was bright and it was a little hard to see the screen so he helped position us correctly. Even the frame on his picture is cute. He's definitely worth checking out for events. He even provided us with a flyer for a fiesta gift pack when you tag him in your picture.

From the moment we initially reached out, Winston was timely, professional, and overall just fun to work with, listening to us, making suggestions, and never pushy. He was open about everything. Leading up to the day, we had multiple meetings with Winston on Zoom, to go over every little detail that his already very thorough website and forms had laid out. He made suggestions, we made final edits, and we were ready to go. As for the day of, well...Winston beyond exceeds expectations. We decided to have Winston aka DJ Gumby MC at our wedding and we couldn't have been happier about this choice! Definitely worth the extra money to have him MC the day. For starters, Winston was early and ready to go, immediately setting up both inside and outside, and had everything ready and tested with lots of leftover time. The ceremony went off without a hitch. As for the reception, well, again, beyond all expectations. Our venue was short staffed, so Winston stepped up in a major way. He assisted our coordinator with keeping things on track and moving and flowing with our timeline. He brought us our first drinks during pictures as he was cleaning up the ceremony set-up and starting the party inside for cocktail hour. Winston had the party rocking from the moment that we did our walk-in's, and honestly, even before that. Our whole reception was on their feet for our walk in, and once the party started, it never stopped! Our coordinator commented that she had never seen such a party. There were absolutely zero hiccups with anything, our photobooth and props were snapping shots all night, and Winston had an absolute fire mix of a playlist, keeping everyone up on their feet (and up on shoulders) until the very end. He even had people yelling for "one more song!" at the end. He made sure that our special day was incredibly special, and that our intimate moments with each other and our families were perfect and worry free. I've been using Parish Photography for my event photos for over a year now - they have become my…read morego-to photography favorites. J.B., the owner, is a staple at our parties, and I'd venture to say that my guests have grown to like her and look forward to seeing her snapping photos of them. She always shows up on time, and is somewhat of a photog ninja in the fact that she's never in the way, but always manages to capture some really big moments of the party. Her style is definitely unique, a bit of the classic mixed with an edgy editorial feel. None of it is contrived, and that's a great thing to know when looking back on your photos. My favorite thing? I never have to tell her what to take photos of. She just gets it. If we have an event sponsor, she is sure to snap plenty of shots of their product. If there's a delectable menu item that a chef prepared, she knows to photograph it. If there's a guest with an excellent outfit on, she snaps their photo and makes them feel like a celeb. Oh wait - there's one more favorite thing. The turn around time is super fast - I always have photos in my inbox within days of my event.
