Now it's a clean, shaded walking, running biking path. The city of Clarksville turned the old railroad tracks into a walking path with a bathroom. I usually start at the Mary's Oak parking lot entrance and run to the bathroom. It's exactly 2 miles out. There are clear distance markers along the path. There's another parking lot at the bathroom area. They have bikes you can rent there. I have been down further past the bathrooms and it's absolutely gorgeous that way. A couple of steep hills keep me off that part of the path. Have seen deer, bobcats and tons of birds and squirrels, Sometimes I have found cute painted rocks here as well. Bravo Clarksville!

Brought my sister and our kiddos here to play a few times over the last couple of weeks (ages 7, 2.5, 1.5, and 4 months.) Two areas for playing- one side for toddlers and the other for older kids who can climb without needing help. There is a basketball court, pavilion, restrooms, plenty of sitting areas and benches. The park as a little creek running through it with 2 bridges on either end, and a walking path that encircles the whole thing. The creek isn't very deep, maybe knee high? So no scary situations if you let your little one wander around it. My oldest (7) spent the majority of his time at the creek playing with rocks and sticks. (Nature lover at heart ) Perfect little park for strolling through a nice park and letting kiddos run around, or having a little picnic on a sunny day!

Dogs are allowed only on the concrete and must be on a leash. No smoking or vaping. No alcohol. No loud music or panhandling. There is a lovely duck/turtle pond to walk around and a paved trail to walk/run along the Cumberland River. Both are flat and easy with pretty views. There is a playground for kiddos, a barbeque area, clean bathrooms and tons of green lawn on which to picnic or frolic to your heart's content. Do watch out for geese/duck poo as it is everywhere around the pond. Small price to pay for the opportunity to come face to face with a mama duck and her little ducklings. Dragonflies will fly right on up to your nose and turtles will wink at you from their log perches in the pond. Parking is free and there are bikes for rent, too. Great place to get exercise, fresh air and relaxation.
