I came across Codona Flooring while searching for floor suppliers and decided to give it a try. I…read moredid not know I needed an appointment but once I got inside Milos said it was fine and allowed me to look around. He also gave some advice which I appreciated. I took pictures of the two floors and said I'll let them know. From this point on for some reason, I can no longer reach Milos but only Oliver, which to be honest I didn't care so much so long as we could get the work done. At first it was alright, we had a few text exchanges and decided to move on with ordering some flooring from them and asking them to do the installation. Then it went downhill from there as Oliver was not very responsive to my messages and took him a while to give me the WSIB and Liability Insurance. Anyhow we managed to get through. Then came the day(s) of installation. Oliver first told me he would bring 3~4 guys and finish the job in a day, but he showed up later (late too) with only one more guy and the job did not finish in that day. Then about one or two weeks later he finally was able to come and finish the job. Overall it was good and I appreciated his and his coworkers' hardwork, but the smaller details were certainly lacking. As seen in the uploaded photos the little gaps between the floor planks and between the floor and window frame Oliver never came and fixed; there was also a few other places that the baseboards were missing. The job was "done" in about March, now it is almost June. It was a misfortune that throughout April I caught COVID, and Oliver ( and his girlfriend) was not feeling well. I've got to be honest here and say that it felt as if Oliver did not want to come anymore, that he was making up excuses, because I was always the one making calls and asking him to schedule, only once did he call me and told me his availability on certain days. Finally we decided on a date but he said he did not bring his material so he will not show up. To me that is just unprofessional that you just don't show up, I'd rather you show up late because at that point I've pretty much expected him to show up late anyway. Then later we booked for another date and he just never showed up at all. Very unprofessional and unresponsive. Another confession though, I certainly should not have paid the full amount, knowing that there were problems he needed to fix. But aside from this issue it conveys to me the unprofessionalism and lack of workmanship / responsibility in Oliver. Codona Flooring may or may not be a good floor installer and supplier based on Google Reviews (4.9 Stars, wow, I wish I had that kind of service), but I could certainly say that Oliver did not match up to this 5 star standard. Oliver, if you are reading this, I want to let you know that you win, that you've successfully tired me out and I no longer wish to deal with you and your delays. To gents and ladies if you were to use Codona Flooring, from my POV I suggest finding Milos or somebody else in Codona Flooring (to avoid Oliver), or find a different contractor. The floor collection was nice, but not the service. Edit: Got a call from Oliver on Saturday May 22nd who told me he could come by that day. Came on Sunday instead due to the thunderstorm and power outage. and he fixed the floor and covered the gaps for me. Thank you for coming by and finishing up the job.

Please BEWARE of this business! They caused a fire in my basement while soldering washer valves and…read morecovered up the damage so I would not know the true extent of it! They operated without any safety equipment and I had to run up and get my personal fire extinguisher to put out the fire. I also later realized that it was only a matter of replacing the valve spindles when Reliance came in to fix up their damage, so they sold me an unsafe and inflated repair method as well. It was only a week later that I got suspicious when I saw molten plastic in a cabinet above the fire location. When I opened up the air vent on top, I saw the fire had damaged major wiring going into the electrical panel next to the washer! I immediately notified them but they refused to pay for the damage caused and ghosted my calls and messages thereafter. I had to rip out all the cabinets and drywall to replace all the burnt wires. BEWARE, this business is located on my street and even then they have behaved this way. Joe provided solid numbers, and showed me lots of pictures. I consulted with my wife, and we decided to go ahead with Joe's team to do the work. There were no high pressure tactics and even when we asked for price for just a new tub and tiles in that area, Joe happily gave an estimate. In the end, we decided with a full bathroom rebuild. Though the schedule had a bit of an issue, once confirmed, Joe and team stuck to their scheduled tasks and provided updates. The tile work (floor and bath tub) is neat and tight. The overall finish is great. We really like our new bathroom. Joe provided his advice and took us to stores to select materials. He also had a schedule of payments that was clear. Joe was always easy to reach, and was open about everything. I would definitely use him again, whether it be for a small job, or redoing a bathroom from scratch.

With two bathrooms, we were always left with facilities that we could use. The crew were always polite, considerate of our wishes and informative. We are pleased with the results in both bathrooms - definitely met our expectations. They worked within the rules and regulations of the condo - pleasing our neighbours and the also our superintendent. Jim, the team leader, is a gem. He was our sounding board for decision making, leading us in appropriate organized directions. He insured the high quality of the installations and our comfort during construction. i gave it 1 star - i like the product. the renovation was delayed from March due to Covid. the…read moreinstallation took almost 3 months from start, August 17 to finish November 26 with LOTS of issues and unprofessionalism. despite numeous emails, phone calls & texts; i had no other support from the Company except the installer who, sorry to say did not have "precision" in mind (see the photos i uploaded). i had no use of my shower for over a month and had to use a bucket (ugh & gross). the shower base was installed improperly causing 2 leaks to my downstair neighbour. the hot water was not turned back on day 1 leaving my side of the builidng with no hot water at 10pm! the shower frames were scratched (only 1 photo but 2 different spots) from the start. the finishing touches were totally ugly (see my photos, looks worse than a DIY) the shower doors were making a snapping sound and i was told that's the way it was. i complained bitterly until someone finally came to fix it! the shower head & shower control panel were not installed properly. the list is looooong...need i say more. do i need more reasons to be in an emotional wreck! refund requested.
