I have loved McAlister's since college & while it's not listed on the menu - can usually still order and get the classic Spud Olé - a chili cheese and jalapeño spud and add ranch on the side. It's my FAV! Used to frequent this location with colleagues for lunch years ago when I worked in CS, recently came in to redeem my birthday reward and tried their Peach Puree Iced Tea for the first time - it was PERFECT - not too sweet, but just enough peach sweetness that made it a refreshing summer afternoon drink! I really miss the Orange Cranberry Club sandwhich and hope it makes a return one day! This McAlister's sits at the corner of Cool Springs Boulevard and Aspen Grove Drive alongside Moe's, Burger Up, CoreLife and a few other local eateries and businesses. They are located on the corner of a building, so you have two ways to enter the building. Parking can be tough during the lunch rush, but for the most part the complex has plenty of spots, not all of which will put you close to the door, but at least you will get a spot nearby. This is your standard McAlister's location, as they have the full menu of all the classics, including that addictive sweet tea, that we have all come to love. They do dine-in (inside/patio), delivery and to-go. My office is nearby and I have taken advantage of all these options and never had an issue. Service at the front counter is good for the most part, but on a few occasions I have experienced a less than friendly cashier and it is always the same fella. not sure if he has several bad days or maybe he is better suited for the less customer contact roles... Food wise all my meals have been as expected. The only issue is they run out of particular salad dressings on occasion and there is no substitute for that lime vinaigrette! I will say that on a recent pickup order where we paid online, when I arrived they let me know they were out of the dressing and unfortunately we did not want another dressing, so we got a refund of the order. For the issue the MOD gave me a coupon for a free meal, which was great service recovery. This location is a constant for lunch and dinners honestly. I ate here for lunch earlier today with some friends and really enjoyed it! I've always liked the food at McAlister's but this was my first time eating at this location. There is plenty of parking and indoor/outdoor seating. For a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't busy at all, but this restaurant has plenty of seating for days when it might be busier. The employees that work here were all really nice and the cashier was very patient with me when I was trying to figure out what to order while also trying to keep my toddler from running all over the place. I ended up getting the macaroni kids meal for my son with chips on the side and it came with a cookie and drink. I got the choose 2 with smoky pepper jack turkey sandwich and a chicken tortilla soup. I expected the sandwich to have a kick of some sort but there was no bite to it at all. The bacon was the star of the show on it for sure and the turkey was great. The ciabatta bread on these sandwiches are always my favorite part - so soft and fresh! The soup was only ok... I've had many other chicken tortilla soups that tasted better. It was served piping hot alongside some plain tortilla chips. My only complaints are that the food seemed to take a while longer than I expected for it to be brought to the table but it wasn't ridiculous. Our friends that ate with us and ordered right before we did had already finished about half of their meals before our 2 plates were brought out, though. So nothing extreme. Oh and they started bussing our table before we left and I had a bag of food to - go for my parents sitting on the table and the man cleaning started shoving some trash from the table into this (nearly full) bag of food. I really like their "famous tea" as well which comes in sweetened or unsweetened. I ordered a sandwich to-go and it was ready within 5-10 minutes in spite of it being a super busy weekend. I got their horseradish roast beef and cheddar and all of their sandwiches come with a choice of a side so I ordered the salt and vinegar chips. Tony and I went to dinner last night at McAlister's Deli in Franklin but I really consider it Brentwood area..This was our first time there. We went there on Saturday January 5th, after I got off from work. I had received a coupon to save $5 to celebrate my birthday. So, we said..HEY why not...so we stopped. He ordered the "New Yorker" which was a hot pastrami and corned beef sandwich with swiss cheese on rye toast and side of Mac n' cheese. I opted to order the half size Muffaletta and side of potato salad., and the manager gave me a free bowl of country potato soup when I told it was my birthday dinner. It was very good! We ordered the Sweet Tea with Lemon (they serve NO Alcohol) and the restaurant is brightly lit with tables and plenty of room (no booths) and the waitress brings the food to you after you order at the counter. The tea is Very Good!!! We split the sandwiches so we could both try them out. He ate the Muffaletta first and I ate the New Yorker...we both got full off the great food..so we had to bring some home in a doggie bag.... I recommend the restaurant and we are going to go back soon to enjoy some more delicious food and try something NEW each time.. Over the last 1.5 years I've gotten take out from McAlister's numerous times, and for the first 6 months the food was amazing every time. My husband adores their sandwiches and I had been recovering from gut surgery so having soups and things that were easy to digest were a life saver for me. Something happened about a year ago that completely changed my mind. I don't know if it was a change in the staff or the management- but my food started looking more and more like a deconstructed version of whatever the description was. I would get wraps without half the ingredients inside, soups would arrive cold and with ingredients missing as well. My husband had one sandwich that was almost entirely dry bread. After 3 consecutive bad experiences we took 6 months to give them a chance to get their act back together, but I just received baked potato soup that was nothing but hot milk with a couple of green onions inside. Just stopped by for afternoon dessert with a friend and was amazed at the level of customer service and friendliness of employees, especially Matt, the manager of this location. He went over and above expectations when a dessert we requested was actually not available and the second requested dessert had only one piece left. I requested decaf coffee and he made a fresh pot immediately. The desserts were delicious (cheesecake and carrot cake), and he gave us complimentary VIP cards for a complete meal, including entree, beverage, and dessert, on our next visit.
