In the area on vacation. The first day I went here, they forgot mayo on a sandwich. No big deal ok. The second day they forgot my pickle and gave me the wrong chips. On top of that, my nacho chips were insanely stale. Never again. :( read more

This place is truly a favorite of mine. I've been here with my fiance, with her mother and my mother after her colonoscopy. Conveniently located right across the street from the hospital. Big fan of the sandwiches. Everything I've ordered has been tender and just hit the spot. Usually get the mac 'n cheese for a side and it won't knock you off your feet, but still good. I've yet to dip my toes in their "spuds." They lool amazing but this is my lunch spot and they look so large it might be too much. Customer service is always great. The staff is always very uppity, like they enjoy working there. They truly create a nice atmosphere. If I could have found them when I ran a restaurant I'd probably still have a job. First time at a McAlister's Deli and I'm pretty impressed with the place. The layout is similar to Jason Deli and Panera but different in an updated and more deli sort of way. I got the New Yorker sandwich, 10oz of corned beef and pastrami, Swiss cheese and spicy brown mustard on a toasted marble rye. The bottom slice of bread was soggy because the meat was so juicy but it really tasted like I was back up at Jay & Lloyd's Kosher Deli in Brooklyn. Salty and warm and soooo much meat and that touch of spicy mustard to give it a bite. For being "known" for their sweet tea it wasn't the best I've had. It has a fresh brewed aftertaste and is a little weak on the sugar side but all in all I would drink it again. They have a very extensive menu so I look forward to going back to try some of the other things. read more

The Deli has a great menu and the food is always terrific which keeps me coming back. However the accuracy of my food orders is always a challenge. It's typically a 50 50 chance that I'll have everything correctly. My "to go" order is often missing a side or has additional unrequested condiments. The staff is usually friendly so I assume it's just a management or operations issue. Fortunately, when the order is correct, the food tastes great. read more

There was no wait time, and I was greeted as soon as I walked into the door. The clerks were very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and super friendly. The manager was very attentive, she noticed that I asked for broccoli and cheese soup but end up having potato soup on my tray. What a nice find. I realize this is a chain but the two sandwiches that I have had there so far have been terrific. My wife who is the really finicky eater in the household also approved. Together we have enjoyed the rueben, the italian and the king club and all have been very good. Add to that we have been using the call in order service with drive through pickup and that has saved lots of time. On one occasion, the internet connection glitched and our order was lost. The gal at the window had us go around to the back of the line (only 2 cars) and presto, the entire order was filled when we got back up to the window. Great service! read more

I would give this 0 stars if I could. Went there last evening to eat dinner. The place was mostly empty. Three people up by the cash register and no one offered to take our order. As we stood there for about 3 minutes to be waited on, another customer's meals were sitting on the shelf ready to be delivered to the table. Still no one moved to serve the meals or take our order. Finally a woman came up and asked to be given her meal. One employee loaded the meals grudgingly and took them out. We waited about 45 more seconds and when we were not approached, we turned and left. Season is over and for us full time residents to be treated so badly when we sustain the place through the slow months is incomprehensible. Went in on Tuesday for lunch. Greeted right away by a guy explaining how they do things etc, off to a good start. Went to order and the girl at the counter could clearly care less about being there. Tried to order soup, out of that kind. Tried to order another soup, out of that kind too. While standing there to look at the menu for other options she continued to sigh and look impatiently like we were the inconvenience. Mind you, there wasn't anyone else in line. WOW. Our male order taker, Kasey, was EXTREMELY knowledgable regarding the menu and extremely patient with this newbie. Food tasted delicious. My husband ordered the Reuben and it was ENORMOUS! Both of our meals arrived in a timely manner. The portion sizes are awesome for the dollar amount spent. I didn't get around to trying their spuds but gave their Broccoli Cheddar soup a go and was not disappointed. Contrary to many BC soups, you can tell theirs real cheddar cheese mixed in as the strings hang down your chin. In the model of Panera, there's a house offer to pick two between salad, soup, sandwich and O - I forgot the most tempting and pack-on-the-pounds devil, stuffed baked potato. McAllister 's also tries new items for limited time. I had the Key lime pie that Naple loves. In keeping with summer mango season, the pie was drizzled with mango syrup. Really too overpowering for the delicate Key lime flavor. The added sliced almonds were a very good choice, however. Decor is tweaked to the location. There is a sepia pic of Naples Pier, and a grainy photo transfer of downtown Naples afterdark to align this franchise with SW FL. Prices are low. Service high. I'll visit again. read more

Popped into McAlister's last week for a work lunch. We were a little early, so I think we were ahead of the lunch rush because it wasn't extremely busy. The cashier was nice and super perky, but not too knowledgeable when it came to what was in the food. For deli food, I was impressed. It was tasty and VERY reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. (I ordered a Reuben and could only finish half.) The girl who brought our food and cleared our table was also pleasant. I'm not much of a deli girl when it comes to choosing a restaurant, but I'd definitely go back here. Their salads are gigantic--I look forward to trying one of those! read more

McAlister's Deli has no clue what customer service is. I ordered a Southwest Chicken Salad and a Memphian Sandwich. Delivery said about an hour wait, which it was. I brought the bag in and I had no sandwich. Had my side order of potato salad though. I called McAlister's right away and was told they had no record of my order but they checked to see if a sandwich was left behind. No sandwich. I was told to contact Grub hub for a refund, they did nothing to make this right. They didn't offer to make another sandwich. Just too bad, call grub hub. Someone read the god damn order and put a side of potato salad in the bag. They tell me they no longer have a record since I did 3rd party ordering. Some idiot read the order and just basically read no sandwich just potato salad. My job is done. Grub hub instantly refunded the money no questions asked. They were fine to deal with. Bottom line, first and last time going to or ordering from McAlister's. Shame, my wife liked her salad. I'll never know what the Memphian tastes like. read more
