THE PERFECT BABY BLONDE. I came in wanting something conservative and he challenged me to remove the yellow tones and go brighter, fresher, even trip my ends which I was hesitant to do. Avoid like the plague!!! They'll screw up your natural nails and then ghost you when you complain about it. Came in for an early morning weekday appointment, obviously no one else in the salon other than staff. So why did my nail tech rush my gel nails? She didn't cover the whole nail with polish, grinded down my cuticles which made me bleed on the spot in the salon, and left two of my nails crooked and uneven. What really led me to writing this review was that when I reached out to the spa to complain, they gave me the following response in the screenshots below. If you don't know how to take off my polish properly, DO NOT DO IT. There are literally 4 other nail salons in the area within walking distance. My cuticles stung for days after because she sanded them down along with the polish. They seem to be desperate for money; not surprised if this is the way they run their business. I pay double for better service and much higher quality gel nails in California, you should've seen the manicure I had before this crap. As you can see, I repeatedly asked them what they could do about the situation and they stopped replying entirely. So unprofessional. First and last time coming here. read more

The owners of this Salon DO NOT CARE about their clients. If you complain they will not call you back because they care less once they have your money. They hire hairdressers that need to bring in clients through Groupon. Take Luis for example, clearly he can not keep any longterm clients so he needs to advertise on Groupon to keep a constant flow. Luis destroyed my hair because he needs to use strong chemical to speed his process so he can get as many clients in one day. He must rent his chair by the day is all I can figure. I normally do my hair at home cause i just do my routes but today i wanted to have a nice day and spoil my self for my birthday.I came to these place just cause my stylist just start working here, i came only for her. Then some crazy women insisted in making me wear a facial mask, by the way i was wearing a face cover but for these crazy women was not enough. The receptionist come to me in a very rude mode asking me to wear the fabric mask, i reply saying that im doing specially my routes and is better the other mask ( i was more than 6 feet apart of that crazy women) But she insisted in the mask, also asking me to wait outside. Eddie at McAllister Spa did an incredible job on my hair!! I have very long hair that I have kept natural for my entire life. I have never colored it before and so I was very nervous about having it colored. He exhibited great attention to detail, going back over certain parts of my hair to make sure the coloring was even and just perfect. I cannot express my recommendation enough for this salon. I moved here from Boston where I was with an amazing stylist for 10 years who always did amazing color, cuts, blow drys, and focused on the integrity of my hair. I have been searching for 8 months for a stylist in Miami who would be just as amazing at a salon that uses good products. I tried one salon and was unhappy so I ended up flying back to Boston just to get my hair done! I thought I would give it another try and I did my research and decided on McAllister and Eddie as a stylist. ... I am so happy that I have found my new salon home! Every moment was exceptional, from the minute I walked in the door to the moment I left. Every staff member was hospitable and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The color: Eddie took the time to get my color history and I described my vision to Eddie and he immediately had a plan to execute it. He is extremely knowledgable about color and was conscious of keeping my hair healthy. To contextualize this- I am blonde, my hair color is complex, and I have a lot of hair, yet he knew exactly what to do. He made sure I knew what could realistically be done in one sitting, which I appreciate so no faulty expectations are set. He spent hours on my hair meticulously hand painting color and toner (amazing balayage!), making sure his plan was executed impeccably. The color came out incredible. Further, because he has an expertise knowledge in color, we set an upkeep plan with how to get the most out of the color which was reasonable time and cost wise. I am particular about my hair and color and seek a lot in a stylist, and Eddie is everything I look for. The cut: To top off the amazing color, his cut is exactly what I was looking for. He took what I preferred and my concerns about my cut (I was feeling weighed down since my layers had grown out) and gave me something I wasn't able to articulate, but was exactly what I needed/wanted. The style: Then, to top it off even more, he knew how to style my hair (I told you I have a lot of hair and it is thick!). I have found a lot of salons in Miami do not style or blow dry my hair in a way that is appropriate for the kind of hair I have. Eddie knew exactly what to do with it and it came out perfect. Since the last place I've been to was quite a disappointment. Anyhow, I called the spa shortly before closing yesterday and managed to get an appointment for the next morning at 10:15 am. I had my first appointment today with Eddie and my daughter had an appointment with Julie, we went by coincidence because my hairstylist cancelled my appointment because of a family emergency and I have been postponing a haircut for way to long and I could not wait for a change, and let me tell you.. I do not regret the coincidence, picked Eddie for the pictures and reviews here on Yelp and Julie was the only one available for my 3 year old daughter and we both absolutely LOVE IT not only our new look but the service and patience. Vicky who washed and blow dried my hair was absolutely amazing and loving. I think the price was also very reasonable and even got a blow dry included. Definitely recommend to give it a try. This place is great. I went to get my nails done with Marnie who did an amazing job with my gel manicure. She paints the color on perfectly. Also very sweet to talk to. I'd say the best on the beach and I've tried a lot of places. Thankfully, I won't have to look any further. Sandrine is also great at dip powder manicures. I was in desperate need to get my hair trimmed and Trish was able to accommodate me last minute after my nail appointment. We even ended up doing a root touch up and a gloss treatment. This was my first time getting a keratin treatment, he was kind enough to do a free FaceTime consultation where he told me about the product and offered his recommendations on which product would help me achieve my goals. I booked immediately after my consult! When I arrived, the staff was very nice. They offered my hand sanitizer and did a temperature check as soon as I walked in. I also noticed a staff member sanitize every seat and surface after each customer. Mark and I had great conversations and he made me feel very comfortable. During my service he even gave me some coloring tips and ideas on haircuts to make my hair healthy. I'm posting this review after washing my hair 3 days after the service and I am in shock!
