Called and no answer so I left a message that said I was bringing my boat in for service at the marina after hitting an object in the water. Pulled the boat out of the water and was confronted by an elderly man that wasn't interested in helping but rather yelling at is to get the boat out of the launch area. I told him I'm here for service and left a message on his phone. He wasn't interested in that but wanted $10 for using the ramp. Paid & left to find service elsewhere. I have been doing business with this marina for 20 years. They have been honest and accommodating during that entire period.

This guy is flat out MEAN! We rented a boat for 2 days - 1 day was a complete rain out. No discounts or refunds - understandable. The 2nd day the boat broke down & we had to be towed in. The maintenance man who towed us in said the boat was just old & needed some work. The ladder for the boat did not secure into the hooks & fell into the lake. I looked up new ladders to replace the ladder - on the 10 year old boat that broke down - & priced them around $75. The Marina insisted on charging over $200 including $50 for the replacement "service" of putting the ladder together?!! Rent from Bents Camp! This place has crappy old boats that break down & the owner is mean as can be. Customer service is non existent! read more

McCormack's Cisco Chain Marina - Boat broke down - had to be towed in. - Land O Lakes, Wisconsin

Stay away from McCormack's! The owner is belligerent and unreasonable. We rented a boat which broke down on the first day at 5:00 in the middle of the lake. Luckily we got a tow from a passing pontoon. He sent a mechanic the next day who fixed the motor, but after losing out on almost a whole day rental he wouldn't extend our rental period. He said the boat was re-rented but I know it wasn't since they originally had us reserved for 2 additional days which I had cancelled. What harm would have come from extending the rental to cover the time we were unable to use the boat? When I asked for the extra time he accused me of being ungrateful - and said that I should have been glad that they sent a mechanic to fix a boat that we were paying for! He also wouldn't consider refunding any money for the time that we couldn't use the boat. Oh, and did I mention that he talked to me like I was an idiot? I've never had such poor customer service, or dealt with someone as unpleasant as this guy. read more
