It would definitely depend on which McDonalds franchise one patronizes. Some are okay and others not so much. Lately they have suffered from supply chain shortages and lack of help although inflation and payroll costs have raised the prices of their products and adversely impacted the entire experience. read more

Table service is offered on the app but two days in a row I was there and my order was not delivered to the table, second day I asked about it and was told that they didn't have a map of where the tables are and when I mentioned the table numbers are right on the tables he told me they where also short staffed. I used to go here daily for my ice coffee, I am a diabetic so I get sugar-free vanilla, I was recently told they discontinued it. I also do the surveys, which you can get free sandwiches. They are good for 30 days, today I was told I couldn't get one as it was over 30 days, mind you the date on the slip was 05/18/23 (not 30 days). The manager made a point of speaking loud enough for all to hear. I did not argue the point, I left and will never return to this location. I have gone to Seabrook and Newburypot and have not been told that the sugar-free vanilla is discontinued just for Amesbury. Poor management. read more

Horrible location, very slow with service and the delinquents that they hire don't really understand what they are doing or aren't trained properly. Management is very rude and they don't clean very well, numerous times I have entered I have seen feces or other bodily fluids on the bathroom floor and or wall. Let me preface this by saying that I don't have high expectations. I don't expect the burgers to be as good as Lexie's, and I don't expect the chicken to be amazing either. I don't usually do Yelp reviews because you're usually going to be getting the same experience at a McDonald's in Honolulu as one in New England. I expect quick, cheap service and that everything will be available. Regrettably, the Amesbury location has failed miserably. The first time, I went in for buttermilk crispy tenders. They were out. Okay, fair enough, it happens and it's not store-specific, but it certainly takes more than 5 minutes to prepare a chicken sandwich. The second time, they had advertised a McPick2 on Sausage McMuffins. They refused to honor their advertised deal, and we had to pay full price. The third was my final straw. I went in, excited to finally try buttermilk tenders since they were gone. The woman at the counter snapped "We don't have them," and returned to mopping the floor. There was no indication that they were out. In short, we not only encountered the same supply issues, but were also treated like an inconvenience because we wanted to order food. McDonald's has gone down hill with who they hire, the only thing good about here is their French fries were actually hot. The lady who took our order was a crabby old broad who was to busy on her phone to pay attention to us ordering (saw her on her phone when we pulled up) and I would say the person with the fancy attire is a manager??? who was at the window didn't speak at all just literally gave us the drinks and expected the payment without even asking..... This is the worst McDonald's I've ever been to in my life. They NEVER "have" what I order (mozzarella sticks, milkshakes)-- but for some reason they NEVER have apple pies. It's one thing to order something once and not have it, but 10/10 times never any apple pies? The food constantly takes forever, but when I receive it its cold! I have had a few bad experiences here, but tonight took the prize. A worker accused me of stealing my meal!!! After a long day of classes, I just wanted something quick and not too deadly for a meal. Stopped at the Macy Street McDonalds to pick up a chicken sandwich and unsweetened ice tea with lemon. It was late, after 9:30PM, I was tired. I paid not quite $6, took my sandwich and forgot the tea. Went back for my tea and the worker Dominic informed me I didn't get my drink because I HAD NOT PAID FOR MY MEAL. And he had the nerve to argue with me when I informed him I had indeed paid. Dominic did not discuss this with any other worker, just made the accusation. Of corse I blew my top. Then the woman who had taken my money came to the window and agreed I had indeed paid. By this time Dominic had hightailed it away from the window. Probably because he almost threw the drink at me as he snarled that I had never paid for my meal. The morning crew here is great and conscientious. The night crew is ill trained and rude, and simply do not care. Yes, I intend to pursue this with the owner. Was in there last night , where to begin. First off DONT EAT THERE!!!!! Noticed a employee on the outside of the counter eating food shoving it in like he had never eaten before . My ten year old made a comment how she thought he was going to eat his own fingers !!! Then I proceeded to watch the same employee walk back out where they make burgers without washing his hands . I then went up to the counter and said "dude really your going to start making things without washing your hands disgusting". He got nervous and hightailed it back outside the counter.. At the same time who I think was the manager walked by and said oh he wasn't going to make food . I don't believe that was true but even if it was true he was out there touching things. Mean while 5 minutes before there was an employee riding his bike back and forth in the store . Also they locked one side of the restaurant doors . Some fragile old man had to ask for them to open it . Said he couldn't walk all the way around. Had to ask twice as he waited for five minutes. As I proceeded to the door the two of the girls I was with had to use the rest room . I waited next to the door . I had another employee ask if I could go out another door because he was going to lock that one . I said no I'm going to wait right here for the girlsthis place is disgusting I just want to get out . I'm thinking should of never even let the girls go into the bathroom God knows what it's like . Floor in the restaurant was wet and sticky. He politely said ok . Then here's the king kicker . Another employee comes over and says if you don't like are service you can leave . My first reaction was laughter then quickly turned to anger and out rage!!! I then said " I said are you freakin kidding me he then tried to justify the eating employees action . He then said don't swear at me which I didn't but proceeded to have a few choice words for him .after that. Then said listen you little punk you don't tell me what to do .
