McDonald's - Drive thru, being waiting for over 5 minutes here to order ????? What's going on? - Fast Food Near Me - Calgary, Alberta

Okay get this. I was out with the gang on god when we all sat down to wait for our food, when we got to our table there was mayo EVERYWHERE!!! All over the seats and table, my one friend yelled and got the attention of other people's around and they were appalled. I went to ask the person working the front desk and they said "I don't know, clean it yourself, KID" I was shocked beyond belief, and couldn't believe the rudnestest of the worker. I'll never come back here again, you shouldn't either. Save your money and time. read more

Tables and pop machine are always dirty/messy. No ketchup in the pumps or napkins in the dispenser, EVER. If you are a walk in customer, and want to order at the front counter, let me warn you: you are their last priority. Food delivery services, drive thru, and kiosk users will always come first. You can starve there at the counter, and they don't pay you any mind until you eventually demand some service. read more

We stopped by this location after a full day at the Calgary Zoo. We choose to dine in as we had three kids with us and it was alright. Staff could have cleaned the tables more often like any other busy McDonald's restaurant. Staff made our order correctly. read more

It's a McDonald's. Service is good but they do focus more on drive through then in the restaurant. I had to wait a couple minutes before my order was taken as they hope you use the self serve machines. I'll be returning in the future. read more

If there was something less than 1 star. This still couldn't describe the deplorable nature of service at this establishment. The drive-thru service at all times of day is beneath sub-par. The staff are no trained in any type of customer service and the manager has no regard for how customers feel. read more

This is my 3rd review of this particular McDonald's. I'm hoping the owner/management reads the reviews. My first job was at McD and I worked there for 9 years; working my way up to store manager. We emphasized 2 things that customers expect; speed & accuracy. This store unfortunately has neither. I had hoped they had worked out there kinks being a new store, but unfortunately that hasn't happened yet. The odd time (very odd) the service is quick and accurate however the majority of the time, it's agonizingly slow. This location has 2 drive-thru lanes. Nothing is more frustrating than sitting at the speaker waiting for somebody to take your order, only to have a vehicle drive up in the other lane and be served first. This happens all to often. Every time I'm in the drive-thru line, I ask myself why I keep coming back. They need to do something....... read more

This is one of the worst McDonald's ever. I've had so many bad experiences here that I can no longer attribute it to growing pains. Wrong orders, ridiculously long waits - and because of the kiosks, the counter is ignored. I was happy when this McDonalds opened, but it is still a gong show in here- they really need someone from head office to fix these mistakes - its terrible. read more

This is hands down the worst McDonald's I have ever patronized. It's too bad because it's so close to home. Since it opened I have experienced missed items in my order, Incorrect orders, rude and or incompetent staff, extremely long waits at the drive through, and every other conceivable poor experience one could have at a restaurant. I have repeatedly spoken to management about these issues as well as filling out surveys, emailing etc. All I get are the same token responses and nothing changes. Most recently, I used the drive through to pick up a breakfast combo. The order was handed out the window to me without a single word from the employee. Also, as usual, without a receipt so I couldn't fill out the survey. I suspect that's why they usually don't give you a receipt. I now only go here out of sheer desperation or convenience. I'd rather give my money to a business that knows how to manage itself and its employees. read more

OK since you apparently can only edit and not post multiple reviews (which is probably a good idea so people don't bad-bomb restaurants) I now have two reviews on here. This first one was a week and a bit ago, I just happened to go to another McDonald's and was reminded how BAD this one is. So...we decided we are going to start going to this one to catalogue and record it, so it is not just one crack pot disgruntled rant. The one at the bottom is from today, Feb 9th at 10:22 am First complaint - 8 TIMES IN A ROW! 8 TIMES!!!!! MY ORDER AT THE DRIVE THROUGH WAS SCREWED UP! And the two lane system is bunk! Three people who should have been BEHIND me ended up in FRONT of me last time! The last time I ordered, I asked for a small diet coke, a cheeseburger and 2 small fries. I got the burger and 2 apple pies and no drink! It took 3 tries to get it right at the window and I STILL never got more than one fries! And they never gave me any money back! I paid 8 dollars for what was effectively a Happy Meal! EVERY SINGLE TIME I HAVE BEEN I HAVE HAD A SCREW UP AND I WILL POST EVERY SINGLE EXPERIENCE FROM NOW ON. Why would I bother? Because it's McDonald's, hello, your service at THIS location may suck, but it's still the best fries ever. You are ruining their name, people! I am a pretty patient and forgiving girl, but you have pushed me too far! Do you have any idea how NOT OK it is to screw up an Autistic kid's McDonald's order? Second complaint - Feb 9th, 2018 10:22 AM Didn't get the yogurt in the kids meal. Asked if there was another option to the yogurt, since my son has a milk protein allergy and was told "no, you can just take it out". I said, really, can I not get apple slices or something? She said, no. So for breakfast, he got 3 pancakes. Aren't you supposed to get apple slices anyways? This I do not know for sure, but don't ask for apples, they are very precious to them. Wanted a bacon McWrap. Got a SAUSAGE McWrap. Ew. I don't like sausage, so into the garbage you go. I ordered a banana chocolate chip muffin and a chocolate pastry. Got those. Now, in the happy meal box, there was butter, no butter with the pastries. It would have been nice if you did that, but hey, I didn't specify butter with the pastries, lesson learned. Ordered, and paid for, an EggMc Muffin meal. Got the hashbrown. Got the coffee. DIDN'T GET AN EGG MCMUFFIN! And I did not check until I got home, and I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO SPOT CHECK YOUR WORK BEFORE I GO AWAY! ESPECIALLY WITH A LARGE ORDER, IT WILL CLOG *YOU* UP. And where were these people? I sat for 2 1/2 minutes before someone took my order. I WAS THE ONLY ONE THERE, IT IS A MASSIVE BLIZZARD OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. Then at the window, the far one, again sat there for a while with no one there. Now, overall the whole thing was about 5 minutes. It wasn't *that* bad timing wise, it's the lack of accuracy that is truly your weakness. And once again, when I asked for ketchup, and salt, it was a huge ordeal and she had no idea what I was talking about with salt and had to go looking for it. This has actually happened to me before, more than once. And she asked how many ketchups. Really? A handful? It's a big order. I got 6. And with the salt, she had no idea what I was talking about. That, I can't really say anything about it, TECHNICALLY there's nothing wrong with it, but you definitely are inconveniencing them by asking for salt and ketchup at this location. This poor girl was actually very sweet, but confused by this request. And I can only imagine being the window girl on a day where it's -20 and blizzarding. So don't get mad at her, but please do get her a bucket of ketchup and salt and make her life easier! I will keep going, and keep recording these visits. Because I WANT you to work. We've lived in a very marginalized area for a long time and only now are some good services coming in, after more than 12 years. We have a vested interest in having good services here. I never ever post anything, as you can see by my lack of Yelps. But this is just so bad. 9 times now in a row! And you now owe me (and I am giving up on the previous 7 attempts) an Egg McMuffin AND a small fries and about 4 bucks by my estimation! Still 10 thumbs down! Now to end on a positive note, that muffin was really quite good. As was the coffee, as per usual. read more
