I'm not ashamed to say that I enjoy a good McDonalds breakfast. The coffee is always hot, and it's $1. The service here is solid, and the space is clean. What more do people want from the fast food industry's biggest brand? A while back, Carmel and I guess most of northern Westchester experienced a colossal power outage. EVERY store was pitch black and obviously closed. But not McDonalds... The management here at the Carmel location fired up the gas generators, and kept the show moving. Their idea of an iced coffee iced milk . I specifically asked the person at the window not too much milk just a splash of milk. Just please take a look at that picture. I should have said something but my anxiety and anger would have made it worse. I just drove away with the iced milk. McDonald's taste is always consistent to me so it was no surprise. Since we are in a pandemic, I saw that once other employees came, they would stop and wait for another employee to measure their temperature before they stepped further into the kitchen area. Whenever customers asked them for sauce, tissues, or cup lids... they would stop whatever they were doing and happily grab the items for them. I stopped by drive through on my way home from work, ordered two double cheeseburgers eburgerdeals which came with small fries. I confirmed the order with the very pleasant woman at the drive through when I paid for it, was given a receipt indicating the correct order and told " two double cheeseburger meals" when it was handed to me. When I got home, I opened the bag to find, lo and behold, one small fries, not two, and TWO MCCHICKENS! Talk about getting effed at the drive through...lesson learned but really, if they screw up a simple order like this, God only knows what they are doing with people like the woman in the minivan in front of me who took 20 minutes to order and was handed what looked like a shopping bag full of Happy Meals. If I could, I would leave this establishment 0 STARS. I am SICK after this service and have left with trauma that no therapy can fix!! First, we pulled through the drive way, the young teenager got every single order wrong and kept insisting a push for ketchup, then proceeded to not even give my family the ketchup. I also ordered a DIET COKE as it is 0 points on weight watchers, and I'm working on my figure. When we pulled up to receive the order, the lady was rude and didn't even greet us. Once we realized that my diet coke was missing, they had us go around the drive through a whopping 4 times after, each time the lady would fight with us and then yell in Spanish. Thankfully, my trilingual self, took Spanish, and the words she used sent me into a state of shock. She then gave me regular coke, so I couldn't drink it. She told me she hoped that the coke would go straight to my stomach, I'm disturbed. Also, it was difficult to actually retrieve our food because the lady's arms were abnormally short so we actually had to step out of the car in order to get our food, what is the point of a drive through. Previous Department of Health inspections report this McDonald's for an incident of potential sources of contamination due to incorrect food handling, as well as the bathrooms being "dirty" and in "disrepair". I wish I had known this before I went here, because this is probably the worst McDonald's that I've ever been to. I was traveling on the interstate late on a weeknight and got off the nearby exit to stop at McDonald's and grab a quick snack and something to drink. I'm sorry I did. I pulled up to the drive-thru at exactly 11:46pm, with 3 cars in front of me at a complete standstill. This is a modern McDonald's - there were 2 drive-thru lanes, but only one was open. I ordered fries and a drink. I pulled out at 12:02am. 16 minutes to get fries and a drink at midnight on a weeknight. Customers behind me pulled out of line after placing their orders, clearly being unable ti wait any longer and having to leave hungry because staff were incapable of serving them. This place is clearly understaffed (mismanagement). The fries were hot, but stale. They tasted like cardboard and had the texture of rubber. They seemed to be leftover from the day shift and reheated. This is the newer, modern design of McDonald's, but the place is already falling apart and resembling a town dump. They have electronically rotating menus, which I've never seen at other McDonald's yet. However, most of the sides were blank, so instead, there's a giant florescent light beaming into your eyes and blinding you. Most of the menus were that way. In fact, if you don't know the menu, there's nothing listed to order from. They had one side of the menu with a few pictures, nothing more. The lawns and grounds were filthy. Corporate needs to intervene and close this place down until they can get a handle on things. read more

Generally I like going here but today rubbed me the wrong way. I pulled up to the window to grt my ice cream cone and they handed it to me with bare hands, right at the top of the wafer cone, above the paper strip! I refused it because EWW! i asked if they could make me another one with a napkin around the base where they grab it. I asked why they arent wearing gloves and they said they never wear gloves! Okay so, this McDonalds in serious need of a make over to look more modern BUT I have to give kudos to the young guy named Chris who took my order. I ordered a #1 (Big Mac) for myself and a Cheeseburger Happy Meal for my daughter. As Chris was putting our order together I saw him look over the counter at my daughter so I assumed he was looking to see if she was a boy or girl for the toy. I quickly responded with 'she's a girl' and he laughed and said 'I know that but I was trying to guess her age to see which toy would be age appropriate for her'... (Since when does Mickey D's make toys for different ages?! I remember years ago getting toys for a boy even though I'm a girl! ) So I said she's almost 2 and he gave her a toy for girls under 3... I dont even want to give this one star. I drive all the way from Holmes,NY. This is the nearest one. I order two meals. First they dont give me french fries for one of the meals. I go inside to get them. The bag felt heavy enough and the box was huge for the chicken fingers. I get all the way home, a 20 mile trip and my food isnt in there. These people are incompetent and they clearly do not care. Did I mention I am pregnant. Never again. Now im hungry and seriously cranky! Hire more competent people! Omg today I went though drive though and was very Disturbed by what I saw the girl handling my sodas was wearing no gloves and put the lids on with no gloves . At that time the manager came over apologized and she started wearing gloves and then a second manager came over and told me never to come to this McDonald's ever again . And that it's there policy not to wear glovesREALLY who do we have working at this McDonald's somebody really needs to check into it . I have eaten at many McDonald's. This is the first one that has been consistent with the level of service and quality of product. I tend to visit in the mornings and hit the drive thru. Margaret is "always" there and is such a nice lady. That sets up the experience and then the food is always hot and seems to be fresh. I like it that I can count on a good experience. Today I found myself stopping by what appears to be a recently remodeled McDonalds restaurant. This restaurant is beautiful and modern. The men's room was fantastic as it reminded me of a Japanese hotel. I wouldn't ordinarily use the baby changing station but it appeared to be state of the art. Anyways, I had a big breakfast and it was quite delicious. The wait staff were courteous and well trained. I will dine again. read more

I don't eat McDonalds food anymore but I frequent the franchise for their coffees. Their coffee deserves a 5. Their service deserves a 5. Their establishment, although remodeled, is dirty in my view. Their are always atesst 3-4 flies flying around landing on everything behind the counter and cooking area. So for that I give this place a 2. Need English speaking cashiers. Orders are constantly messed up because of language barrier. When you complain you get no where. Even the GM Kelly could care less. Let me give you an example. Cashier messed up order and aded 3 additional fries, a burger and two additional sodas. I knew right away that it was too much but had difficulty communicating with the cashier.while waiting for the food I examined the receipt and noticed the additional items. Called over a manager who also had difficulty speaking English. He said he couldn't give me money back but he could give me more food. He just didn't understand! read more

This particular McDonald's is well below the chain's normally low standards. They often gets the orders wrong, and sometimes comes out raw. There is a particularly nasty old putz who takes it upon himself to be rude to the customers. Someone told me he is the owner. So no reviews since they had their makeover!! Let me be the one to tell you...The place looks a lot better, really it looks great! Kudos to those construction workers & architects, you did great! You go in and it looks so brand new, Clean, & bright! The lighting is really bright! Overhead menu needs to dim down some it's like staring into the sun! Ouch! Unfortunately this McDonald's no longer accepts your phone app coupons. That part really stinks! But the dollar menu is still available!
