I went into McDonald's while on a road trip. Had to order my own meal via a kiosk, pay via kiosk. Got our food and drinks. The only communication. Between me and any worker there. Was when they dropped the bag of food and 1 drink. "Waiting on a frappe " . I don't know if they were speaking to me and an employee! No eye contact, no greeting when we walked in. By the way we were the only non employee in the whole store! Not a have a good day, when we left! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL! Maybe we came at a bad time as it was later on a Friday night, but they only had one lane open for the drive-thru, and there was a very long wait. The staff was friendly, but I'm not sure that made up for the 15 minutes stuck waiting in line. We ordered three Oreo McFlurries, and we got one before they told us to pull forward to the next window to wait for the rest. That was then an extra five minutes, but they ended up giving us an extra McFlurry, so that was much appreciated! They all tasted good as well. Haven't been back to this location in a couple years, after a less than great experience prior. Family member said they wanted a 'Big Mac'. Stopping here, what we got was a sandwich where the ingredients were thown in a box (except 'special sauce' - which was missing!), shook like it was needed to mix and combine, and then placed in the bag at drive-thru. One burger, one patty was hanging outside the closed box....patty holding the lid shut. Enough lettuce loose in each for a side-salad, and nothing assembled as it should be. Sadly, due to time and having missed food all day, we ate 1 due to sheer hunger but threw the 2nd/of each away. Tried to call the store after this discovery, but 'manager too busy to be disturbed'. For the second week in a row I have had to dump out my vanilla latte hot. There is a strong mustard taste to it that was not there in previous visits. I tried to contact McDonalds directly but their website is set up so you can't from a computer, maybe if you have the app you can but that seems unnecessary for this. Something happens at night here. Mornings/Afternoon the food is usual fresh and hot, even if it takes a minute. At night, however, it becomes literally the worst McD I've ever been to in 27 States. The burgers are old and dry, the fries are ALWAYS undercooked and cold. But, the really impressive thing is the consistency. It's literally EVERYTIME I visit after 6pm. I've always loved this McDonald's and have had no problems with it actually. Today when I went through the drive thru and was handed back some change when I paid for my food. I was handed a half ripped dollar. I've had issues in the past where people would not take a damaged dollar. When I asked the guy at the next window for a different dollar because it was ripped he looked at my half ripped dollar, back at me, and said no, I can't do that. Why not? I don't understand? I don't know if it's because I didn't specify that they in fact gave me the ripped dollar? They refuse to accept more than 1 "free medium fry" coupon through the drive-thru... and no... the coupon did NOT have any exclusions on it. I pointed that out to the manager. He said they don't take more than one coupon per car because it would take up too much of their time filling all of the free fry coupons and they have paying customers to take care of. Umm... I am a paying customer. That's how I got the coupons. They were from the game peices we got off of fry boxes and cups from their promotional game you are currently running. But regardless... We could have gotten out of the car, gone in and placed 3 separate orders. This would have taken up even more of their time because they would have had to ring up 3 orders, not 1. That's acceptable to them but not using them in the drive thru. I had 3 coupons that they refused to honor on a day they offered medium fries for a $1. I have a family of 5 and each trip to McDonalds costs us around $38. I looked in my QuickBooks and last year we spent $1,540.78 at McDonalds. I frequent the Owen Rd McDonalds as I live very close by. It's clean, it's fast, they handle my customizations well. I eat inside, and do drive thru. The food is hot and fresh. The daily specials are CLEARLY marked, missing that is on the customer. Oh, and the daily specials are good deals. I've been treated as good as can be expected and I've never had a bad experience. When you read the critical reviews of this restaurant, note the emotion and disrespect in the reviewers comments: some folks are destined to be dissatisfied because of their predisposition to feeling slighted. Came after the dining room had been closed, and my boyfriend and I were one of two cars in the drive through. We ordered extra sauce for our nuggets and breakfast burritos, and got no sauce. I had some business to attend to which forced me to meet someone at the Owen road McDonalds. While Dining I noticed a WWII veteran sitting down the row, he ordered and was dining on an Egg McMuffin Hash Browns and Coffee. I felt I needed to pay for his meal & thank him for his service to our country. I went to the counter and asked if there was any way ,that I pay for his meal and have them refund the cost back to the vet. The counter person went somewhere to speak with a manager to see if this could be done.
