No one was at the counter, tried to use the kiosk. Wasn't working when I finally got a person used my code only to be charged for the free item. Which was free med fry with purchase of a drink. When I questioned why I was charged I was given the my code was to earm points. I have over 35,000 points when I asked to speak to a manager I was treated like a child. He was rude and condescending and made the comment that kiosk are for kids that I should have waited till someone came to the counter which and ordered that way. Which is what I did. Solid McDonald's located in hillview right of Preston Highway just across the bullitt county and Jefferson county border line. They usually do a solid job of processing the food line workout messing up your order. They will have you pull up a lot like other nearby McDonald's. It gets pretty crowded at this location. Inside is always decently kept clean and they do a good job renovating the place. i worked here as a 15 year old several years ago and I think it has been remodeled like 4 times since then. Inside does have a decent little play place inside of it. Before chick fil a was a thing locally this use to be the place to take a kid to grab lunch and let them run wild in a play place while parent shot much needed "me time". Overall pretty standard McDonald's that happens to have a play place inside. At this point I think every person with a pulse has determined whether they like McDonald's food or not so I usually leave that out of my reviews and judge these locations strictly on service, speed and effectiveness. This one grades about average so I'll give it a 3 star rating. read more

I just don't get the point of ordering on mobile apps if your orders going to be cancelled because they don't start making the order until you're actually at the window... I placed a breakfast order at 10:50 AM and my fiancée went to pick it up, only for it to be cancelled because he had to wait in their TWO LANED drive thru for 20 minutes... I got no notification on the app it was cancelled and had to call the store a total of 4 times until someone actually picked up. I was told it was cancelled because they only start the mobile orders once they receive the code at the speaker at which point breakfast had ended 10 minutes ago so they cancelled the order. Then to be told that my money would be refunded anywhere from 10-15 minutes to 24 hours. Well technically I was told to wait up to 24/7?!? Which is like not even a time frame it's a catchy phrase for places open all day every day. After sitting in the drive thru for food, the fries we received were soggy and dark brown and old and only half full. I asked for new fries with no salt asked for full fries. They told me to pull up, so I did and waited for an additional 5 minutes, which is fine. However, I received the same fries that had been put back in the fryer. It was obvious. They were still half full and nasty. I tried to call and of coarse it stayed busy. So, after requesting new fries I received the same nasty fries that were just our back in the oil. How gross. I'm not a huge fan of McDonald's, especially this particular one. No matter what time of day it is, it's always a 15 minute wait. Fast food is meant to be fast, when you go thru drive-thru, you expect even faster service, it's never the case here. I ordered two kids meals. The fries we got tasted as if they were from last night, I've worked in fast food. When fries taste like that, change your grease. My son was one short chicken nugget in his meal, which I didn't realize until we got home. This is devastating for a 4 year old, anyone really but toddlers especially don't get it. Wait times are long inside and drive through, sometimes mess up orders, staff is friendly some days and not so friendly others. Watched two staff argue super early in the morning, right after one employee told my friends and I that "there was way too many of us for being 6am" it was only three of us and we were getting breakfast before we went to clinical. Ice cream machine is usually down, go figure. Today, went to order and they told me they weren't taking any because the power was down only on certain machines which I thought was odd, so looks like I'll be going somewhere else for food. In the event they actually get your food correct, which is a 50/50 chance, then there is a good probability that it will be cold. My boyfriend and I have eaten take out from here a few times and the food is always great. A few months ago we tried the international items: the burger from Spain - extreme bacon burger I think - and the chicken mozzarella sandwich from Canada . We also ordered the bacon cheese fries from Australia . The chicken sandwich was really good, the sauce is sweet, almost hint of floral with a tang. And I got it crispy not grilled it was really good. Tasted like chicken parm once I got towards the middle. My boyfriend said "it's simple and robust" lol it's yummy. The bacon cheese fries were really good he ate most of them in the car before I had a chance to eat at least half but from what I tasted I like how the cheese has a smoky flavor if it didn't I would have just said it tasted like regular cheese on fries, which they've had that before. But it did have a slightly different taste. I think it should be priced differently though to be honest it shouldn't be $3+ you can only get it medium sized too. Drive thru wait time was 30 minutes. Young man taking the money had rap music jamming loudly while taking our money, rap music was so loud you could even hear it with his window closed. If you are going to come here, might I suggest stopping at the gas station that is right next door. You will definitely need a snack as the wait to get food is so long! There is zero sense of urgency here at any time of the day. But I especially notice it at breakfast time. The managers seem like they are more willing to stock the coolers with parfaits then take care of their customers or help their team members. The food prep staff moves at the pace of a sloth. Me and my girlfriend came in today and was ordering food. It asked for a QR code and we didn't know what to do so my girlfriend was asking around and asked this one girl and she just mumbled something and walked away. She went up front and this nice girl helped her. When we sat down and waited for our order we noticed two lady's having trouble ordering and not getting any help. Me and my girlfriend,without hesitation came and helped them because no workers were. Workers were walking by us and didn't even help . This is ridiculous, the customer service needs to change !
