Another country, another McDonald's to check off my list. The cool part about the McDonald's menu in Portugal is that there are a few notable items you do not find anywhere else, particularly the sopas (soup).
There are a few sopa options that come in two sizes. I was able to try the Spinach and Garbanzo Beans (€1.30 for small) and Vegetable Soup since the rest were unavailable. The soup is a nice addition to the menu, although they could really use more flavor. In addition, I also tried the McRoyal Bacon (€3.85) and Cheese & Ham Croissant with Mango Juice (€2.10). Both items were pretty standard, but McDonald's is always a nice go-to for a quick and cheap bite.
This particular location has a nice outdoor seating area, which was quite peaceful. It is also super convenient to the famous Pasteis de Belem, which is only across the street. read more
