This place hasn't been the same since the pandemic--it's really gone downhill. I placed a mobile order and originally selected the drive-thru. When I arrived and saw how long the line was, I switched the order to counter pickup in the app. Unfortunately, when I got there, the lobby doors were locked. At that point, I couldn't switch the order back to drive-thru. When I reached the speaker, the employee told me there was nothing he could do and wasn't even sure whether I'd be charged. He said I'd need to speak with a manager. My main issue is this: why does the app allow customers to switch to counter pickup if the lobby is closed? And why is there no flexibility to correct it on-site? To make matters worse, I waited in line for 30 minutes. 30 minutes for a double cheeseburger. I should've gone home and eaten a bowl of cereal. Why does McDonald's, in general, and this location in particular, consistently disappoints?Why can't it be like Chick-fil-a or Raising Cane's? They just refuse to be great. read more

You get to the first window to pay and they ask if you are sure that is what you want. You get to the second windows and they have a line up of bags asking what you ordered. But you can see that most people don't do it on purpose and try to do everything they can for the money they get. The main problem of this place is speed. I used their drive thru yesterday as I was in the area and needed something quick due to my growing hanger. Slow service and trash everywhere - cups, bags, napkins, wrappers - just nasty trash in the lot, around the lot, in the street - it was just bad. Someone needs to get out there and sweep and the sanitation department seems to have forgotten about this section of town because the litter is all over near the interstate. After waiting a long while in the drive thru line, we pulled up to the first window, where you pay. I must say I was impressed with the sweet girl who took our order. She had our food ready for us at the first window when we paid. I've never had that happen before and am appreciative. Nice touch. One of those stars is just for her. read more

Customer service is the worst in the city and calling the store to report your issues, frustrations and concerns doesn't do a bit of good since the calls are apparently outsourced to a third party. One of the worst breakfast experiences I have ever had. However it is my fault. From the time I ordered a sausage mc.muffin with eggs breakfast and the employee continued to say sausage mc.muffin, I should have known. This review is proving difficult to write as I am very nauseous. I was served raw chicken (the chicken strips) at this location. The chicken was barely cooked. I imagine that McDonald's has some sort of fixed method to cooking their chicken, for example, "put chicken in fryer and set timer to x minutes." It can't be that hard. Spent around 30 minutes in the drive thru. Had a mildly complicated order and was missing a sandwich. The sweet teas were really warm and without any ice. Fish sandwich wasn't hot, not even warm. After a long LONG day running around the French Quarter and watching parades we got in the car, slowly crawled through traffic and mobs of people in the street only to discover we had not drank enough WATER during the day and I forgot to leave my water bottle in the car. We saw the arches way up the road and knew we had to get there before one of us expired from dehydration. I used to stop at this McDonald's all the time but it has been a while. I saw the long line in the drive through and decided to go inside. I was thinking it would be faster but was not. I went to the kiosk and quickly entered my order, which consisted of oatmeal (the main reason I came), medium coffee and hash browns. Paid at the kiosk and waited. I was prepared for the wait because of how long the line was getting but I was not prepared to have so many of the people who came in behind me to be serviced before me. I was also not prepared to have to fix my own breakfast. When my order finally came up, I quickly took the bag, grabbed some napkins and left toward my final destination. It wasn't until I got to where I was going that realized that my oatmeal was not cooked! The ingredients were simply put in the bag. I am just disgusted with their poor customer service.
