This must be the most rated McDonald's by most yelpers, well with the cornavirus this is where I had got my dinner tonight viva the drive thru as since restaurants can't have customers dinning in, and who knows if they can go in to order at a counter or the kiosks. Yes I know it is McDonald's, the order which was a cheeseburger meal with fries and a coke. There are two windows the first one is to pay for your order, and the second window is for the pickup. There was wait as 3 cars was ahead, this is supposed to be fast food, and who knows how many cars was behind the car I was in. A lot of you might think this is the rudest McDonalds', but think about it if you are rude to them, do you expect them to be pleasant. My wife is a nurse at a hospital in Hyde Park, this McDonald's is on the way home for her. As a nurse on the front lines of the pandemic, a lot of companies are stepping up and showing their appreciation for all the brave work the are doing. We heard that McDonald's was offering first responders and others on the front line, a free value meal, which is truly generous and shows what they think of the people at risk in the line of duty. She went through the drivethru and asked for a meal and said she was a nurse and had her ID badge to prove it. She was told that this McDonald's wasn't participating in the program. Will never go to this location again, Tinley and Orland are both helping out those that are putting themselves and their families in harms way. read more

This place is wild af. The kid taking the orders is not listening or he has a hearing issue. He doesn't read your order back when you get to the first window so you don't even know if he fucked it up until after you get your food. Then to get the order corrected we pulled back up to the first window and he told us that the second window would take care of it, fine, we get to the second window and they have no idea what we're talking about as if he didn't have on a headset and couldn't communicate to the people up front that there was an order that needed to be corrected. Fine they tell us to pull up to the door and wait, while waiting I realize our hash browns are under cooked and one of them has a hair on it. I find it hard to understand how a hash brown or often their fries are undercooked when all of the fryers in every McDonald's has timers. These are people asking for $15 an hour. Tonight, I went to McDonalds to get a young child a Shamrock shake for his birthday. It is literally all he wanted. I ordered a shake, a few burgers, and a some nuggets. I got to the window, realized I had not ordered additional sweet and sour sauce, and asked to add it on. They told me I would need to pay for that. I gave $1 and told them to keep the change. After 3 minutes of waiting for the sauce, the attendant came to the window, handed the sauce, and said, "Have a good night". I never received the shake and did not realize until I was near home. I called, with my receipt in hand. Upon speaking to the manager, Katie, I was responded to with a laugh and a condescending/mocking response: "Well, we it's not like we put the shakes or drinks in the bag." I was absolutely disgusted with the lack of empathy and resolution. I explained the excessive down time waiting for extra sauce and that, at any time, the attendant could have easily handed me the milkshake. Again, I was met with a condescending and belittling remark along the lines of it was my fault because I was the one who drove off. Yes, after sitting with my order in the car for several minutes waiting for sauce, I was not focused on the shake. On top of this, the toppings of the two burgers ordered were not what was requested. So. Let me just start off by saying I hate how YELP has you give them a star; I'd wouldn't give any if it was an option. I decided to go to here TWICE. The first was at 3:05 am. Pull into the drive-through and they (the 16 year olds holding down the fort) say their system is rebooting, it's going to take about 30-40 minutes. Ok fine I'll wait. Well I just got back from going there at 4:30 am (a whole hour & a half if you can't count time) and somehow it's going to take another 40 minutes to make anything on the menu?!?! Staff was rude and apparently they upcharge $.70 when getting a sweet tea on a combo meal. Nobody could explain to me why a combo meal is $11.00 until I looked at receipt. As I understand it, McDonald's strives for consistency. This McDonald's has achieved that goal - the service there is consistently very poor. I live just a couple of minutes away and have been to the restaurant many times but I haven't been there for several months (since April 2012) and I don't intend to ever go back. Why? Because not only is the service horrible, they don't seem to care. I've contacted them 3 or 4 times to provide feedback and they don't even acknowledge my comments, much less do anything about them. So, how is the service poor? The counter personnel are completely inattentive. On at least 3 occasions I have gone into the restaurant, stood in line to order for 10 minutes or more, and then left without ever being acknowledged. Once there was another customer who left with me because he was also tired of waiting and being ignored. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO MAKE SURE AN ORDER IS COMPLETE!!!! If you have ever been to this McDonald's, there's a good chance you know what it's like to be ripped off and listen to your kids cry because they forgot to give you fries or gave you a girls toy even though your receipt said boy! I typically cave and hit the drive through on those days when we are frantically running from place to place, and when I don't have time to fret over whether people have done their jobs and sit counting fries before I pull away. Today, yet again, Palos Heights McDs has failed. I cannot recall a time when my order has been right and my sandwiches have been assembled with care. Typically, there are 5 pickles in one spot (when I asked for no pickles), the cheese and top bun off center and half the burger dry. Realized while at the counter waiting for my food there was a sign on one side of the building you could get 2 McMuffen for $4 asked if I could take advantage of the deal posted on one side of the building and pay $4 was told no by the cashier. she said I could by 2 more for $4. I'm not surprised at all the negative reviews. This place was marginal even before it was sold. It's always had long lines with long waits. The rude staff is new, and they obviously aren't supervised. I've frequently opted to go to other McDonalds in the area when I've had time, but as another reviewer said, it can be quicker to go to another location at times. They seem to have lost the meaning of fast in fast food. Wrong and mixed up orders are common enough that I always check before pulling away. They're frequently out of items simply because someone isn't monitoring the food. How are you out of pies? They hold for 8 hours, when you're down to the last 2, cook some more! Minimizing food waste by running out doesn't make up for lost sales. Get enough staff to do the job, and enough supervisors to make sure the job is what they're focused on. You can't make money without spending a little on the right things. You need reliable people to do the work, and since people are people, enough supervision to keep them on task. Train your staff and make sure they've learned the job before setting them lose on the public. I went through the drive through at 8:00, and it took over 20 minutes to get through the line. When I got to the window, there was no one there! The girl had gone off to have a chat and didn't bother to notice that a new car was at the window. When I got to the second window I explained what happened and the girl started to act like I was trying to pull a fast one. I reminded her that I wasn't the one not doing my job, but I'd be happy to complain about it if she got the manager. She chose to process my card and get my food instead. I was a little worried about eating it at first, but once I got the food it was OK. Anyway, this location has consistently been bad, and it's only gotten worse. read more

Katelyn's ceaser salad was one of the greatest things I have ever put into my body. It felt like the dressing was pure holy water. It cured me from all my ailments and even had croutons for dickard (who didn't show up). However, there is just one thing. I was terrified to sit down and eat it because the chef had decided that she would like to place a mine underneath my seat like a straight up savage. POORLY MANAGED! I was rushed in the drive thru, and then my order was incorrect and also missing items. My drinks were overfilled and leaking down the side, and this is how they were handed to me. When i asked for napkins to wipe them down, i was given a very negative response, and was told they were running low on napkins. I asked for a manger, I was told that she was busy and to come back later. After returning home and now realizing I had food missing and incorrectly prepared (Distraction cleaning up the leaky drinks) I called the store and requested to speak to a manager. After explaining the situation, and also that my steak/egg/cheese bagel was prepared with a sausage patty ( I DO NOT EAT PORK!!) I was told to return the entire order if I wanted this taken cake of. I then asked for the contact information of the owner. The "So-Called" manager now handed the phone off to another person claiming to be a manager. I now asked why the phone was passed, and the response was "She said she was not able to handle these types of situations" I explained the situation again to this manager and was given an insincere apology. She offered to replaced the food but no resolution of the PORK sandwich I bit into. I again requested the owners contact information, and was not given this. I was told that the "Managers, Supervisor" would call me within 10 minutes. It has now been almost 30 minutes and still no response. read more
