This was a start of a great weekend. My friends and I decided to perform a fast food tour and hit up 5 fast food joints within Ballard. This was the first stop. We had to. McDs is the leading fast food chain nation wide. It would be a sin to not have gone here. So. For the tour the goal was to try out their signature item so we ordered the Big Mac. Additionally, we also had a small order for French Fries and a Sausage McMuffin. We split everything up into 4ths and experienced America's #1 fast food chain. If you've ever had any of these items, it's as you were expecting. Although the Big Mac seems a lot smaller than I remembered. Feels a bit ripped off. Oh well. There isn't much to say about this particular McDonald's. Food is alright. This place apparently has additional parking across the street behind the drive through. Weird parking extension but nice to know seeing how their front parking spots are always full. read more

Here's what I know: McDonalds is a taloned demon dragging us down into the void. However, I have occasionally found myself here. The lady at the drive thru is a VERY NICE WOMAN. I feel sorry for any decent human being over the age of 20 who can't find better paying work...but I guess that's their choice. Who cares about the food here? Does anyone need the food at McD's reviewed? I like the breakfast burritos. NOT the ginormous one that has your whole days calories in one crappy packet, the little ones. Overheard in the playroom (spoken by a mom who climbed in the tunnel to retrieve a kid): I think I just sat in something. It's wet in here. Also scary is the mural depicting active, healthy people upon whose heads are being dropped nuggets and burgers floating down under parachutes, a huge, giddy smiling Ronald in the foreground directing the attack. The giant, levitating plastic Ronald on the other wall is somewhat bashed in, which makes me smile. What I really want to know is, WTF is the NUGNUTS thing or whatever they're calling them now? Ugh, last night at 3am, I again ordered a Bacon, Egg and Cheese McGriddle. The first two bites were yummy and the rest were like "Why, the F*CK did I get in my car and go get this crap. Never again. The guy was a little rude but it's late at the 24 hour drive-thru. Ok, it's 3am but I'm always a sweetie unless you wake me up before noon! I'd rather starve than come here again with fast food munchies and deal with the attitude. Yes, I am reminding myself for the future reference when I look up whis place on Yelp for a food option. I'm pretty sure there is something shady going on at this McDonald's. SEVERAL TIMES I have been there and there have been issues with the CHANGE given for my order. For example, the last time my order was $2.63 but the cashier asked me for $2.73 and when I gave $2.63 he didn't argue. Suspicious!!!! I also did not get a receipt for this transaction. And at least once I have received Canadian dimes in my change. The sailboat on the back tipped me off. Also, a couple of times I was given an item which was missing an essential ingredient, such as a Eggamuffin that was missing the canadian bacon, or a double cheeseburger that was missing the meat. Each time I was going through the drive through so it wasn't worth going back, but I have a sneaking suspicion someone is skimming money and/or meat from the till. On the bright side, the parking lot is well laid-out. FYI, a little known fact about this McDonalds is that there is overflow parking across 54th street. So don't be discouraged on a busy day if you can't find parking in the main lot. It's a bit of a trudge, but the extra walk burns off the french fries!! read more

You know what to expect at McDonald's. The menu is pretty much standard across the board (unless you visit other countries, that is). You don't go in expecting greatness and I think we all know that at this point. That being said, this McDonald's is better than a lot of locations I've been to. The service is always friendly and my orders have always been right. The wait has been minimal any of the times I've gone inside. The major downside to this location is the drive-thru line and parking lot. Despite multiple entrances to the parking lot, the spots only face one way, which can pose a great challenge for parking your car if you come at them from the opposite angle. The drive-thru line setup is pretty atrocious. The line can get very long and clog into the street or through the parking lot. You'd think they'd have something better set up, but unfortunately that is not the case here. I should also note that my main reason to go to McDonald's is for their vanilla ice cream cones. Five stars is for the staff's attentiveness to the restaurant. Food is standard. Extra parking lot just south of the restaurant...great since the connected parking lot doesn't hold many spots and is always full. This is the first McDonald's in a long time where the restaurant is clean and the staff is consistently going through the restaurant to straighten up and wipe up tables...even in the kids play area. Last several McDonald we have been to have had garbage everywhere, overflowing garbage cans ...all the while the staff are standing around providing the slowest service. This is a nice change. Not much can be said for the food. It's fast food. It's McDonalds. You get what you pay for. The times I've ventured in the place it's been clean The reason I give this place one star is due to service. The service is garbage. Staff, one case being a 40-something female morning shift manager on at roughly 6AM on Saturday 2016-02-27, was warm and friendly with a customer then with the flip of a switch cold as soon as I stepped up, After receiving an incorrect order and informing her of this she had an attitude and attempted to argue with me in front of staff and customers who had heard my order and confirmed that she was wrong. After taking a seat with my food she proceeded to bad mouth me with other staff in Spanish as if it wasn't obvious enough that she was talking trash or that I couldn't understand what it was she was saying. read more

UPDATE--- I tried their new quarter pounder. Though not frozen, the patty was not freshly cooked. Bummer! This is an okay McDonalds that has a hit and miss record with their preparing of various food items. Usually, the burgers don't live up to the advertising or online pictures. And the fries never have enough salt. On my latest visit, I decided to try the new chicken tenders. When ordering, they had no list of sauces and ended up not having my favorite sauce. So, I got a little flustered with trying to pick 4 options out I-don't-know-how-many listed by the cashier. After all that- I was given different sauces than the ones I ordered. As far enter tenders... they were much more meaty than expected. And the thickest ones were even moist. Nice surprise. They do need the sauces though, having little flavor on their own. read more

Drive thru is so slow they have two reserved places out of their small parking lot to place cars from the drive thru to forget about them. They're serious about being able to be as slow as possible. Also, several of the employees didn't speak English well enough to take orders. If you work at McDonalds you should know what hot cakes are. read more

This is a pretty good location. It is currently going through a remodel so it looks a little drab right now. I features a "Playplace" and enclosed sunroom in the front I am usually here for breakfast and the staff is always friendly and fast. Food is served hot (which cannot be said about all Mickey-D's). Parking sucks here but at least they also have an overflow parking lot behind and across the street. Drive-thru is very short and can get backed up causing the parking lot to be a pain to navigate. read more

I long ago ceased to order any food at this location. They can rarely even take an order correctly and blame it on language-i have tried Spanish but they dont know it either. Have been trying drinks here OK if Frappe or tea but soda machines are FILTHY and pop (diet Coke) tastes like some fruity concoxion. This Am I paid 2.60 for a Large diet(gave her 5.00 and got 2.30 change). I tasted the drink and immediately handed the drink back to window person and said It was NOT diet coke.
