No international trip is complete without a visit to the Golden Arches!
This McDonald's is on the corner of Rizal and Narciso. Locally it's known as McDo. It's open 24/7 and it has a drive-thru. Parking is limited, and it's hard to back out once you're parked because of the traffic. We found a "spot" on a surrounding street and walked over. I don't know if it was okay to park there but as long as you're not blocking driveways or other cars you're good!
It was very busy, so make sure to secure a table first. I'm assuming there's a school nearby because there were lots of students. 20% discount for senior citizens 60 and older.
The menu is familiar, with a few interesting regional choices. Besides your typical burgers and McMuffins, they serve fried chicken with rice, breakfast eggdesals (melted cheese and egg in a pandesal bun) and Coke McFloat (soda with vanilla ice cream).
Fries tasted about the same. Maybe just less salt. Big Mac was eh, akin to a jailhouse hockey puck of beef. The limited edition Fish Fillet sandwich was crisp and warm. I tried the McSpaghetti, which is an intriguing mix of sweet and salty.
Fun to try!
