This is the best school that I ever went to and the teachers are so nice and so are the food it…read moretaste pretty good I would recommend this school:)

My daughter attended this school from PK2 (2.5 yrs old) through the 3 grade (8 yrs old) . For the 4th grade I moved my daughter to a school of the arts because I wanted her to experience a different learning curriculum. No biggie we just thought a change would be nice for a year. We decided to go back to CCS and I enrolled her in the early summer before the 5th grade, paid all of the fees associated with registration etc. I was told that she would need to be tested for the 5th grade which didnt seem to be a problem for me either. I got a call from the school to inform me that my daughter would need to repeat the 4th grade because her "reading comprehension" was below average. I was shocked and appalled to say the least. She was tested at two other schools, and neither school indicated that she was below average in anything, to my surprise she was above average and accepted to both learning institutions. I asked CCS to please allow her the summer to tutor and freshen her skillset and please at least re test her for placement after the summer. They agreed to a re test however when she tested again they rushed her through the exam and told her she did not have time to complete everything because this was a "re-test". After short stopping her test, they again insisted that she repeat the 4th grade. I decided that repeating a grade at a school would not be a good idea at a school of her peers since she had been with most of those kids since she was 2. It would have been an emotional setback for her. I also did not agree with them telling me that her alleged "reading comprehension" deficiency was because she did not attend CCS for the 4th grade. The basically blamed it on her 4th grade teacher at her new school. UNBELIEVABLE! I am no teacher but reading comprehension starts way before the 4th grade and she had been at CCS since she was 2. She learned to read at CCS, so I believe if she was deficient it was because of them- they are the ones who taught her to read and should have been paying to her comprehension of what she was reading. She is enrolled at another Christian private school this year and was placed in the 5th grade as she belongs and is doing exemplary. She is reading at a 6th grade level and doesn't seem to have a problem with the A beka Curriculum that CCS swore to me would be "so hard for her" Bottom line, CCS was insistent that she repeat the 4th grade as a matter of finance rather than the best interest of the student. I strongly feel that the only way she would be admitted in to the 5th grade at the school is if she completed the 4th grade there, and because I took her out for her 4th grade year they needed to get paid for that year we took off from CCS. She is happy and excelling at her new Christian school and I am glad I am not paying tuition to this school. They should be ashamed. NOT_SO_CHRISTIAN_LIKE

Had a horrible experience at Peachtree Prep EAST. They are extremely cheap when it comes to paying…read moretheir employees however tuition goes up almost twice a year. They over charge parent accounts and if you don't speak up fo yourself they will keep your money. Teachers are not properly trained. I have caught multiple teachers sleeping while my children were in their care. The rooms stink they do NOT communicate with parents. The owner Is passive aggressive does not show up anymore. Director and her assistant are rude. They do not value all parents and staff very low place

So my son went to the Covington location starting in August until about a week ago. They have been…read morereaching out to me about his behavior, mind you, he just turned 3 years on last month. Anytime they reached out to let me know what he was doing, I was more than welcoming to talk with my son, model the behavior that was desired and show him videos so that I could collaborate with the teacher. He was doing normal 3 year old things like tantrums and not getting his way so he was getting upset. The teacher, Amanda, would tell me how much she loves my son and how she loves having him in her class to my face but would tell the current director(who by the way is new because it was not the director I signed my child up with) that he was so horrible that she would need a break from the class. I literally heard her on a voicemail that was left with her saying negative things about my son before the Director starting talking to my voicemail. It seems like you're in the wrong field if you expect all kids to have "perfect" behavior at all times! Children are not a once size fits all type of thing and every child is different and should be approached differently. And again, MY CHILD JUST TURNED 3. He's still learning! It seems like this has been a trend over time from reading other reviews. Anyway, the director called me last week to let me know about my child's behavior and that someone needed to come pick him up for the day. My bf went to pick him up and he was told they don't want him back. Now, as an educator and a parent, I called back to advocate for my son because I do actually like the school. She was willing to allow me to take my son to the pediatrician an would have a discussion the following week because they didn't want him back for the rest of the week, ok cool, that's fine. So after I took him and the Dr told me it was typical toddler behavior, I called her to let her know strategies I use at home. She let me go on and talk to which she responded they don't want him back. The communication was terrible and I don't appreciate any of those people at that school trying to villainize my son when HE'S A TODDLER LEARNING! Not a teenager, but a baby! I would NEVER recommend this school to ANYONE! And if your child does not have the perfect behavior, don't even apply! I will leave them with a piece of advice as a veteran educator: Put your teachers in training so the can learn to deal with less than perfect behavior so they don't have to "got take a break." When you work in a school district in an urban setting, come back to me and let me know about how much of a "break" you need!!! Thanks for this Ted Talk.
