I had a kit car about five years ago and it failed mot as it had no chassis number stamped onto a plate anywhere on it even though it had been built in the 1980s and had a logbook with all the correct details and a folder of the full build history and had passed previous mots so I called in here and asked if they could make an aluminum plate stamped or machined with the correct chassis number that I could rivet onto the car. They made it and it was ready a few hours later and the mot centre passed the car without having to pay for a retest which is the first time I haven't had to pay for a retest. It only cost me a tenner to get it done.it was well worth it to keep the mot centre happy and get the car legal. read more
