Before anyone is approved for membership, an email is sent out to existing members, asking for guidance. Members, who knew I was more cautious when it came to masking and my kids, wrote the board asking them to reject our application because of it. The board will refuse to tell you why you were rejected, they just respond by saying, "We stand by our decision". To boot, they informed us by sending a FedEx Express letter that arrived the day after Christmas, and my husband opened and read said letter out loud in front of my kids and parents. The board members did not take the time to meet my family or talk to us. We were left dumbfounded. Biltmore is literally high school all over again. You have the popular girls members and legacy members with a lot of money, and if they don't like you, you won't be allowed into their club. My family's rejection upset and surprised A LOT of people because I'm also a local business owner, a founding member of the Barrington Women In Business group, and President of the Biltmore Oaksbury mom group. Save yourself the time, money, and stress and steer clear of Biltmore. It's not worth the hype. Apply at Barrington Hills Country Club, Wynstone Country Club, or Long Grove.

One of the grounds crew was driving a cart pulling a blower on the green while we had to wait a few minutes to make our approach. We paid $23 for 18 holes with a cart and that did not seem like a good value. There're too many courses in the area that are well kept to waste your time and money here.

The kids even had some mac and cheese, chicken tenders and French fries. The food was decent, but not anything above what you'd expect at a country club. I liked it and came back for seconds. There was an open bar with a decent selection of wine and cocktails, along with beer. The bartenders and servers were fast and friendly. And the space was beautiful and open with windows allowing for mostly natural light to illuminate the space. They had seat cushions on the chairs and decorations were excellent. The only downside was the fried chicken which seemed underdone to me, But others enjoyed it so maybe I picked the wrong leg. The bathrooms are always clean here, and the fancy hand towels feel like a luxury in the era of "thinner is cheaper" paper towels that disintegrate before your hands are dry. The course is pretty forgiving, but the greens can be challenging if caught in the wrong spot. The weather was great and the course in good condition for this time of year. Everyone we encountered was great to deal with and our group had lots of fun on the course. We teed off in the morning and never encountered any delays, nor did we have anyone pushing us from behind. The best surprise out on the course was their cart girl, Bailey... she was fabulous and made the rounds to our group several times. Even partaking in some pranks on our foursome that she was put up to, by our group ahead of us... She was a true sport and made our round, and the day, at Cary CC memorable! Shout out to Bailey!!

We searched many places for venues for our wedding & were either finding places that were so…read moreexpensive, didn't have the date we wanted, or didn't have the option to have everything onsite. My husband & I finally looked at WCC & I wish we had just looked here from the beginning & saved ourselves the stress, headaches, & time. Everyone was so helpful at WCC especially the chef who came to my rescue & got lipstick out of my dress that accidentally got on there while I was getting ready. The food was great & our guests also had complimentary things to say about the food during cocktail hour & dinner. We choose to have a themed wedding, Chicago Blackhawk's, & WCC along with our baker, florist & DJ made it happen. Our cake was cut perfectly by the kitchen staff which wasn't an easy feat considering it was a 3.5' tall replica of the Stanley Cup. WCC accommodated us the evening before for a quick dry run rehearsal outside next to the 9th green where I ceremony was planned for. The golf pro, Allen, was even onsite to assist the day of our wedding. While our guests were enjoying cocktail hour with an open bar & appetizers Allen drove our photographer around in a golf cart while the rest of the family & wedding party were in separate carts going to various spots on the course to take pictures.
